The first thing they noticed when they entered the demon world was the stench—a repulsive mixture of blood and decay. The dark clouds swirled endlessly, creating twisted patterns that seemed alive, and the sky was always a deep red.
The terrain was not at all like the land they were walking on. Toxic fumes escaped from its depths as it cracked and turned black.
They saw a river in the distance that was full of thick, red liquid—not water, but the blood of innumerable creatures. Some of the dead's bodies were still frozen in terrified expressions as they floated along the surface.
Screams rang out in all directions. Although their origins were unknown, the whispers permeated the atmosphere, infiltrating their ears and making their skin itch. The sights before her caused Camelia's chest to tighten.
"This truly feels like hell," she muttered in a voice that was shaking. Then, trying to stifle the fear that was rising inside of her, she swallowed hard.
