After some time, Thalina finally spotted the herb she needed to cure Eyrx's arm.
The Skyroot Bloom stood proudly between two mossy stones, its petals a glowing silver-blue, like liquefied moonlight caught in a flower's form.
Tiny droplets of mist floated from it, casting a faint shimmer in the damp air. It looked almost too sacred to touch — like it belonged to a world above theirs.
Thalina's eyes lit up. "Jackpot!" she whispered under her breath, stepping forward carefully.

When a whip-like blur slashed through the air.

Eyrx's tail snatched the Skyroot Bloom like it was a petty thief, curling it neatly into his palm before she could even blink.
Thalina's jaw hit the metaphorical ground.
"Hey!" she protested, throwing her arms up. "That was my heroic moment!"
She pouted exaggeratedly, stomping a foot like a child denied candy. "It's for you, you know," she added, her voice dripping with wounded pride.
