"From Lucius. Apparently, You-Know-Who gave it to Abraxas years ago. Cissa found it when she was looking through a chest that had belonged to Abraxas. Lucius knew what it was right away because it affected his dark mark. Do not worry; it has been cleansed of the horcrux as has the Ravenclaw Diadem, the Hufflepuff Cup, and Salazar's locket and ring...Oh! And Harry's scar no longer contains a horcrux either." He turned to go when Dumbledore called him back.
"Where is the ring with the Resurrection Stone?" He demanded.
"In an unbreakable case along with the pendant within Slytherin House with a lock that cannot be unlocked. Filius came up with a spell, but I do not know what the spell is." Severus shrugged. "Perhaps he will tell what the spell is if you ask him."
"How can you be sure Harry is no longer a horcrux? As far as I know there was no way to get rid of it other than Harry willingly sacrificing himself to Voldemort."
"As far as you know…" Severus sneered. "I took him to a Curse Specialist at St. Mungo's who had been trained by a very powerful African warlock and he removed the horcrux." He left and returned to his office where a pile of essays awaited his attention.
Page ~*~*~*~*~* Break
The next morning Lily and Severus dressed in Muggle clothes apparated into an alley between Wisteria Walk and Magnolia Crescent and calmly walked to Number 4, Privet Drive. Severus knocked on the door while Lily stayed out of sight. Petunia answered it and when she saw who it was, she tried to slam the door shut, but once again was blocked by Severus. "What do you want, Snape? We thought we were shod of you when we signed the freak over to you!"
"Actually Petunia, Sev's with me," Lily said stepping into view.
Petunia screamed and fell down in a dead faint. Severus caught her before she hit the floor.
"Pet? Pet," a voice called from the kitchen and Vernon came lumbering in from the kitchen with Dudley at his heels. His face immediately turned purple when he saw Severus holding the unconscious Petunia. "Don't stand there like a dunderhead!" Severus snapped in his best professor voice. "Help me get her to the couch."
"I'm afraid Tuney fainted when she saw me," Lily said.
Vernon almost dropped Petunia feet in shock, but managed to catch himself and helped lay her down on the couch. "You can't be here…you're dead. That old wizard left a note with the freak saying so."
"Dad…wha…what's going on?" Dudley stuttered. He was home for the weekend from Smeltings. He looked from his father to Severus and Lily and then to his mother.
"I'm sorry. Your mother fainted when she saw me. You must be Dudley," Lily said offering him her hand. "I'm your Aunt Lily."
Dudley backed away. "But mum said you were dead. Do freaks come back after they die?"
"No, wizards and witches do not ordinarily come back after they die," Lily replied.
Vernon reached into his back pocket. Severus was frankly surprised he could reach around that far. He pulled out his wallet, extracted a ten pound note and gave it to Dudley. "Dudders take this, ring up Piers, and see if his mother can take you and him into town for ice cream."
"Okay, Dad!" He grabbed the note from Vernon and waddled upstairs to his room to call Piers. They could have at least two Knickerbocker Glories each with this much money.
Severus had had the forethought to bring smelling salt with him, pulled the container out of his pocket, uncapped it and waved it under Petunia's nose.
Petunia awoke with a snort. "Wha…what happened?" She asked blinking and looking around.
"You fainted when you saw Lily," Severus replied.
Dudley came thumping down the stairs. "I'm off," he called. "See you later!" He let the outside door slam with a loud bang as he bolted outside.
"Dudley…" Petunia called.
"Never mind, Pet. I thought it better that Dudders wasn't around to be exposed to this obscene unnaturalness. He's going to get ice cream with Piers."
She saw Lily standing behind Severus. "You're right Vernon. This is obscene and unnatural! What are you trying to do to me, Snape? Mocking me with somebody who looks just like my sister."
Severus raised his eyebrows and rolled his eyes. "She is your sister, Petunia. She came back through the Veil on Halloween because she wasn't supposed to die. Potter came back for the same reason."
"What right did you have treating Harry worse than some wizards treat their house elves, Petunia?" Lily stood with her hands on her hips, glaring at Petunia. "You know very well if something had happened to you and Vernon; I would have treated Dudley like my own son! I would have loved him, fed, and clothed him without making him work for it or constantly complaining how expensive it was to take care of him! I would not have treated him any differently than I did Harry!"
"We thought we could work the unnaturalness completely out of him if we worked him hard enough," she muttered in reply.
"You know that's a lie too!" Lily snapped. "There is no way to get rid of magic. You can prevent somebody from using it, but it will still be there. Mum and dad would be so ashamed of you if they were still alive."
"As powerful as Harry is; you are very lucky his magic did not backlash violently from being suppressed," Severus warned.
Petunia and Vernon paled as they thought about that and then she snapped at Lily, "Snape said your husband had come back too so where is the jerk? How come he isn't here as well concerned about our treatment of his son?"
