A cup filled with steaming hot tea was pushed forward by a pair of claws belonging to a small white creature that resembled a rat.

"Tea?" he asked, as Ken replied with a simple nod, moving his hand as he raised the cup by its handle. "First place, that's impressive," he continued. "Not even All Might got that much."

Ken simply smiled in response, highly hoping that his posture didn't make him seem awkward.

"It's Sencha," Nezu announced as Ken sipped the tea's base. "No preservatives, no processed chemicals, just slowly boiled leaves and an ounce of sugar." Yet Ken remained silent, his smile still maintained as if in pursuit to avoid an expression most might deem unpleasant.

"Your mother," Nezu shifted the topic, "since you were recommended by her, you were supposed to enter a different type of examination. Unlike the one you took—the exam you were supposed to enter was designed to be more difficult." Nezu stood up from his seat as he pushed his body onto the floor. His body was so short that it instantly vanished, as it was hidden by the large normal-sized desk that stood in their midst. Moving his body, he made his way to a sofa; it was large but short enough for him to climb without much trouble. And Ken, seeing this action, simply followed. As he made his way and sat beside that creature he was supposed to deem the principal.

"Yet I couldn't bring myself to make you enter such an exam, given the fact that I didn't know the exact nature of your quirk. So please, forgive me for underestimating your abilities."

Ken just nodded and smiled awkwardly, not knowing how he was supposed to respond.

"An exam like the one you did features a written and a practical, but it also features an interview with me. So since you couldn't do the interview because you didn't do the recommended, I thought we should do it now." Nezu fixed his figure on the sofa, as he leaned back to get the most comfort. "And worry not," he spoke. "No matter what you answer, you are still guaranteed a spot, because after all, you are our number one."

A smile played at the end of his words, a smile that sent shivers down the spine of the boy who was sitting beside him, for even now Ken couldn't figure out how the lips of a rat were moving with such human expression.

WHIRR-WHIRR-WHIRR!

In a classroom that looked like a workshop, Power Loader was looking dead straight at a teen who seemed to be working on what looked to be dark indestructible armor.

"What's got her working so much?" his lips whispered, just loud enough for Ethan, who was standing right beside him, to hear his every word. "I mean, she always overworks, but this…" His voice sounded hesitant. "It can't be healthy," his words finally uttered.

And Ethan, who stood right beside him, just shook his head in acknowledgment, as if he was agreeing with all of Power Loader's words.

"Tomorrow is the first day for the hero course students, so she's trying to perfect Ken's hero costume." Power Loader raised a brow as if in wonder.

"Who's Ken?" he asked.

"Her boyfriend."

"Her boyfriend?!" he shouted, as Ethan's body reacted, stunned in shock.

"Well… not exactly, he's just a simple crush, but well—I guess it's not that simple since they both know that they like each other."

Power Loader only sighed in surrender, as his posture changed form.

"I guess I'll have to speak to her father."

"Oh, he knows." Power Loader's face turned dark at Ethan's words. "The man even suggested speaking about marriage with Ken's mom." He laughed, but then his laughter stopped with swiftness as he noticed the expression displayed by Power Loader, who was standing beside him.

"I'm kidding," he lied, fully knowing that all of his words seemed to be nothing but the truth.

And so the noise kept on, ringing loud in the silence of the school, only produced by she who was driven by love ever growing.

"That will be it," Nezu's voice announced as he looked at the stack of filled-in paper in his hands, his expression showing a smile and his posture hinting end. So he stood up and made his way to the desk, leaving Ken, who was still sitting on the sofa with an almost empty small cup filled with tea.

"So I can leave, right?" he asked, his words hinting retreat, as he stood up and fixed his now wrinkled shorts.

"Of course," Nezu replied as Ken smiled faintly and moved to make his way to the door.

"But there is one thing." His voice stopped Ken's pace, as Ken slightly turned his gaze, meeting the white-suited rat leaning on top of a cleanly arranged table.

"There was once a rumor, or should I call it a legend, of a child who's been through a lot," his words were calm, as if showing some type of visible faint empathy.

"In his pursuit for survival, he was forced to eat from the dirt, forced to eat from the dirtiest of bins," he continued, yet Ken's stance remained unmoved. "Ken, my child, do you know of such a legend?" his voice just asked as his gaze remained fully fixed on the child that stood before his seated inhuman self.

"No," Ken replied, his word hinting no sign of being altered; it was direct, not forced, and cold.

"Good," Nezu's words shot back. As Ken, without asking anything else, just left the room, pushing back the now-opened door, moving out of inhuman dark-colored eyes.

Clunk!

The door sealed shut as Nezu gazed deep at the action of the child who had now left his sight.

Leaving the inhuman creature looking at his now long-gone human whole.

"How interesting," he spoke. "How very, very interesting."

I had to change Ethan's accent since we got a lot of people who find it hard to understand because they use translators, I just hope it still sounds different from the others and not that representative.
