Chapter 574 - Chapter 573: Goodbye Feng and Ai

When the plane appeared over Imperial Capital Airport, Jiang Hai was gently awakened from his sleep by a passing stewardess. At the same time, someone discreetly slipped a note beside him. As usual, Jiang Hai was slow to react to such things and didn't give it much thought.

The journey had passed quickly. Hao Fei was a chatterbox, constantly talking to Jiang Hai, who didn't mind the company. They just bantered along the way. Jiang Hai didn't dislike people like him—at least they made the trip less dull.

Eventually, both of them drifted off in their seats. When they woke up, the plane had already begun its descent. After adjusting their seats, the plane touched down with a screech of tires against the tarmac and gradually came to a stop on the runway of Imperial Capital Airport.

As soon as the plane landed, the passengers almost simultaneously unbuckled their seat belts and started gathering their belongings, even before the aircraft had come to a complete stop. This was perhaps a quirk of many Chinese travelers—living fast-paced lives and squeezing every moment to get ahead.

They squeezed onto buses, into subways, and even jostled to be the first off a plane.

Jiang Hai didn't really understand the rush. He usually didn't bring much with him, so he never had to wrestle with overhead luggage. He preferred to walk out slowly, without any stress.

When most of the first-class passengers had already left, Jiang Hai finally stood up, grabbed his bag, and calmly disembarked.

As he exited the terminal, he spotted Feng Yunchen and Ai Xiaoxi waiting for him in the distance.

"Hi, Jiang Hai!" Feng Yunchen waved enthusiastically the moment she saw him. Jiang Hai smiled and waved back, adjusting his backpack as he walked over.

As soon as he reached them, both women threw themselves into his arms.

At that moment, many hearts inside the terminal collectively shattered.

Just a few moments ago, Feng Yunchen and Ai Xiaoxi had been standing there, catching the attention—and imagination—of every man around. Tall, stylish, and stunningly attractive, they were the kind of women who turned heads wherever they went.

With angelic faces and enchanting figures, it was hard not to notice them. Passersby, whether single or not, couldn't help but steal glances. Yet the two women had seemed aloof, showing no interest in anyone else. Even as they stood quietly, they were a captivating sight.

Now, seeing them both leap into the arms of a single man? The sour envy in the air was almost visible.

"You must be tired. Let's get going," Ai Xiaoxi said softly, perhaps a little shy from the attention they were drawing. Her cheeks flushed as she looked up at Jiang Hai.

"Alright, let's go," Jiang Hai replied, patting Feng Yunchen, who was still clinging to him. He smiled warmly.

Feng Yunchen lifted her head at his words but didn't move away. Instead, she held onto Jiang Hai's arm as they walked toward the parking lot.

For today's pick-up, Feng Yunchen hadn't brought her usual flashy sports car. Instead, she borrowed a colleague's Audi A4. While the car wasn't exactly extravagant, Jiang Hai didn't mind. They piled in, and Feng Yunchen started the engine, heading toward home.

Throughout the drive, both women chatted animatedly with Jiang Hai. No matter his status, he held a special place in their hearts. With him, they had endless things to say and share.

Laughter and conversation filled the car, and before Jiang Hai realized it, they had already arrived at Feng Yunchen's apartment complex.

After parking, the three of them headed upstairs to Feng Yunchen's place—a cozy two-bedroom apartment within the city's third ring road. Normally, she and Ai Xiaoxi each had their own rooms, but today had a different vibe altogether.

Once inside, Feng Yunchen didn't say a word. She simply wrapped her arms around Jiang Hai's neck and bit him playfully.

"Hey, you're being a little too eager," Jiang Hai teased, kissing her back for over a minute before pulling away. He gave her a light smack on the butt with a helpless smile.

"You had a great time in America, huh? You have no idea how we spent the past two months. I've been holding back, saving myself for you. Now that you're back, if you don't take care of me, I won't let you leave," Feng Yunchen pouted, eyes narrowed with mock accusation.

Her words made Jiang Hai forget his travel fatigue. Glancing at the wide-eyed Ai Xiaoxi, he suddenly scooped them both up and headed straight into the nearest bedroom.

What followed didn't need much description. Let's just say it's not fit for a courtroom transcript.

When they arrived, it was a little past three or four in the afternoon.

By the time the "battle" concluded, the room was lit with evening glow. Feng Yunchen and Ai Xiaoxi lay draped lazily over Jiang Hai—one on each side. The dreamy look in their eyes hadn't quite faded as they stared up at him, lovestruck.

Jiang Hai, for all his flaws—his indecisiveness, his messy relationships, his occasional recklessness—had two qualities that drew people to him.

One was his character, though admittedly, it was a character backed by wealth.

The other was his "prowess," which, in this particular area, left both women completely satisfied.

"You villain... you're getting worse," Feng Yunchen gasped, catching her breath. "Tell me the truth—were you practicing every day in America? How else could you get this good in just two months?"

Jiang Hai chuckled. "Alright, alright. But I'm hungry now—I haven't eaten yet. You two figure out what to make."

He didn't deny it—part of his improvement was due to another upgrade from the Dragon Ball. And yes... partly from experience too. But he wasn't foolish enough to admit that out loud.

Feng Yunchen shot him a look, playfully smacked his shoulder, then sat up to tie her hair. Despite her teasing, she was a very capable woman—independent and reliable. She could handle everything from cooking to cleaning on her own.

Now that she shared the apartment with Ai Xiaoxi, she likely did so to take care of her younger friend.

Usually, she did the cooking while Ai Xiaoxi helped with the dishes. They made a good team, especially since Ai Xiaoxi, though not a great cook, wasn't entirely helpless.

As she finished tying her hair, Feng Yunchen grabbed Jiang Hai's short-sleeved T-shirt and slipped it on. There was something undeniably alluring about a woman in a man's shirt.

The fabric barely concealed her curves, with the faint outlines of her figure visible beneath. Her long, slender legs completed the picture, and Jiang Hai felt temptation stir once again.

"Xiao Xi, take care of this guy. I'm going to cook," Feng Yunchen said, wrinkling her nose at him. She flicked his lower abdomen with a finger and turned to leave.

Ai Xiaoxi then snuggled up to Jiang Hai, clearly ready for round two, but he quickly stopped her.

"No, no... I just got here. If we keep going, I'll be a wreck. Let me rest a bit," he said, gently pulling her onto his chest.

Ai Xiaoxi curled up like a kitten, clearly enjoying the quiet moment with him.

"Thank you for coming back," she whispered after a few minutes.

"There's no need to say thank you between us," Jiang Hai replied with a smile, giving her a light smack on the butt.

"Mm..." Ai Xiaoxi was genuinely touched. Her heart, which had once swayed with uncertainty, leaned a little more toward Jiang Hai.

Maybe... he was the right man after all.

"So, what's our plan for the next few days? I'll be heading back to Bingcheng around the 11th. We don't have much time," Jiang Hai said as he traced gentle patterns on her back.

"Why are you going back to Bingcheng?" she asked, confused.

"One of my buddies is having a birthday on the 11th. If you're free, come with me. But for now, tell me what we're doing," he said with a grin.

"Oh... okay," Ai Xiaoxi replied, her face turning red.

Jiang Hai had said it casually, but in her heart, it felt special—like he was introducing her to his world. Introducing her... to his friends.
