"You!"
Seeing Tsunade's expression, Hiruzen Sarutobi sighed helplessly, rubbing his temples before speaking.
"The real reason I asked you to stay behind is to get a detailed account of your battle with One-Tail Shukaku, Chiyo, and the others. Can you tell me about it?"
"That's it?"
Tsunade scoffed, crossing her arms.
She saw through Hiruzen's true intentions immediately and smirked.
"I'm guessing someone put this idea in your head, and now you want to stir up trouble?"
Hiruzen's expression stiffened.
Could she not expose him so directly?
He still had to maintain appearances.
But since his real intentions were already out in the open, he could only cough awkwardly and nod.
"Fine, think of it that way," he admitted. "I really just want to understand more about Alex's strength."
"After all, he's never shown much of it in the past, and for some reason, he's hidden it so deeply."
"If he had revealed his talent earlier, wouldn't that have meant better training opportunities?"
"Why didn't he do something more for the village?"
Tsunade rolled her eyes.
"You seriously don't know why?"
She leaned forward, placing both hands on the desk.
"You do realize that research and training are what he enjoys most, right? He's not the flashy type who goes around bragging about his abilities."
"Should he have just walked up to you one day and said, 'Hey, by the way, I can beat a Tailed Beast one-on-one'? Wouldn't that sound insane?"
Hiruzen hesitated.
"Besides," Tsunade continued, "he hates unnecessary trouble. If it weren't for a coincidence, I wouldn't even know he was this strong."
"And let's be real… The village is in a tough spot right now. Having another powerhouse is a good thing."
"Or… are you feeling threatened again?"
Tsunade narrowed her eyes.
"Are you thinking about doing to him what you did to Sakumo Hatake?"
The air in the office suddenly turned heavy.
A suffocating silence filled the room.
Hiruzen felt Tsunade's gaze bore into him like a blade.
If he dared give the wrong answer, she would not hesitate to escalate.
She still hadn't forgiven him for Nawaki's death.
And if he tried to pull something like that with Alex, she wouldn't let it slide.
Hiruzen quickly raised his hands in defense.
"Aha… of course not!" he said, forcing a laugh.
"Alex is a genius of Konoha! Why would I suppress or persecute him? That would be ridiculous!"
"I'm just… asking out of curiosity! That's all!"
"As for what happened with Sakumo… That was all Danzo's doing. Not mine."
"Besides, Sakumo is perfectly fine now, isn't he?"
Hiruzen was trying so hard to sound convincing.
But Tsunade wasn't buying it.
She glared at him for a long moment before finally backing off.
"Fine. But if you try anything, don't expect me to hold back," she warned.
"And don't even get me started on Danzo. I've wanted to punch that old bastard for a long time now. If he so much as breathes the wrong way around me, I swear, I'll beat him into the ground."
Hiruzen sighed.
He almost felt bad for Danzo.
Almost.
After that, Tsunade gave a brief summary of Alex's battles.
She already knew Hiruzen would ask Minato and the others for more details later, so there was no point in hiding anything.
She even got Alex's permission beforehand.
If anything, exposing his strength would make him safer—no one would dare mess with him.
But Hiruzen's reaction shocked her.
"You're saying Alex has improved Flying Thunder God to the point where he can teleport without setting coordinates?"
His entire demeanor changed.
"Yep," Tsunade nodded.
She wasn't thrilled that this detail got out, but it was too late now.
Too many people had witnessed Alex teleporting behind Rasa without any visible markings.
Jiraiya and Danzo definitely noticed.
Jiraiya might have kept quiet…
But Danzo? No chance.
Hiruzen's eyes gleamed with undisguised greed.
"Ahem… Do you think this improvement can be taught to others?" he asked carefully.
"Would Alex be willing to contribute it to the village?"
Tsunade snorted.
"I knew you'd ask that."
She reached into her pocket and pulled out a scroll, waving it in front of him.
"Here, I had Alex prepare this in advance."
But she didn't hand it over right away.
Instead, she just stared at Hiruzen.
He reached for it—only to have Tsunade yank it back at the last second.
"Hold on," she said, smirking.
"You're not planning to just take this for free, are you?"
Hiruzen froze.
"Ahaha… of course not!" he forced another awkward laugh.
"That would be wrong! That would break Alex's trust!"
"How about… I let him choose one or two jutsu from the Scroll of Seals?"
Tsunade grinned.
"Deal! No take-backs!"
She tossed the scroll to him.
The moment Hiruzen opened it and read the details, his face turned ugly.
"This…"
"Are you serious?" he said, looking up at Tsunade.
"This isn't something a normal human can do!"
The instructions detailed how to sense and manipulate space using sheer mental energy to create instant teleportation points.
But the level of mental control required was ridiculous.
Even for a genius, it was near impossible.
"Are you sure this is real?" Hiruzen asked stiffly.
Tsunade just raised an eyebrow.
"Do you want me to call Alex back to demonstrate?" she asked.
Hiruzen hesitated.
"...No, that won't be necessary."
If anyone could pull it off, it was Alex.
But no one else would be able to replicate it.
Hiruzen felt scammed.
"Anyway, since we had a deal, I'll take Reanimation Jutsu and Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu as Alex's reward!" Tsunade said cheerfully.
Hiruzen froze.
"WHAT?!"
"Multi Shadow Clone is fine, but Reanimation Jutsu is absolutely off-limits!"
He slammed his hands on the desk.
"Tsunade, do you even understand how dangerous that technique is?!"
"I'm not letting you bring back the dead!"
"Besides, this isn't for Alex, is it? This is about Nawaki, isn't it?"
Tsunade clenched her fists.
Her voice dropped to a deadly whisper.
"...And what if it is?"
Her Chakra flared violently, shaking the entire office.
Anbu rushed inside—
Only to freeze in terror when they saw who was causing the disturbance.
"Tsunade, listen to me," Hiruzen said carefully, sweat forming on his brow.
"Let. It. Go."
But Tsunade's golden eyes burned with emotion.
"I won't let go."
"You either give me that jutsu…"
"Or I take it myself."
Hiruzen gulped.
This was bad.
Really bad.
