Standing in an area with a well nearby Danny looks at the two water filled buckets held by a rod before reaching his hand onto the center of the rod in an attempt to pick it up. This however does not go as planned, he could not lift the buckets.
Standing around and pondering for a few minutes Danny finally realized the problem, the way in which he was attempting to lift the buckets was incorrect so in response he changed his grip and this time he managed to pick up the buckets. Holding the rod he put it on his shoulders.
"Okay let's do this... This is going to be a major problem."
Danny found that the load of the buckets was easy to maintain on his upper body unfortunately the same could not be said for his lower body and due to this he found that he was unable to move at least not without stumbling down. In Danny's mind this current set of circumstances reinforced what Alaric had told him earlier.
A few minutes passed by and in this time Danny was still unable to move staying as still as a statue eventually he began to notice the sky changing color, realizing the night was nearly upon him Danny steeled his resolve. Forcing his legs Danny began walking although the pressure on his lower body was so immense that he couldn't even lift his legs only managing to drag them forward.
A seemingly endless journey now began, Danny dragging his feet still continued on gritting his teeth and every time he thought of stopping and taking breather he remembered his reason for going through all this pain and the anger carried him through. Eventually Danny found that his lungs were quickly giving in and he could feel his consciousness slipping away but he couldn't stop so ultimately he decided to grab the breathing device from his pocket and insert it into his mouth effectively finding a way to continue on without stopping.
A lot of time passed and soon minutes turned into hours, the sky was now completely dark and unfortunately for Danny his current location lacked proper lumination so the road ahead was non visable this did not deter him from continuing on. As Danny was walking fear started to take a grip on his heart as unsettling sounds could be heard coming from the forest.
Suddenly a loud howl echoed through the area, this resulted in Danny's fear skyrocketing causing adrenaline to surge in his body. The adrenaline allowed Danny to lift up his legs and start running, going through the scariest experience of his life Danny could only hope nothing would happen to him, eventually lights began appearing in the distance seeing this a wave of relief overcame him.
Soon enough he reached the house and upon entering the yard he immediately dropped the rod and started crying in relief. Then the back door suddenly opened and Alaric came out with a cup of tea in hand looking at an exhausted Danny.
"Sob sob huff huff, uncle I'm done I came back with water."
"I see you manage to come back with the water but you aren't done I'm afraid, remember I said you have to squat with them."
"Sniff sniff huff huff, but uncle I'm so tired I just want to go eat and sleep."
"I'm sorry but as your instructor I must insist that you finish the task I gave you but tell you what I pity you so I'll be lenient, so you only need to manage one squat and I'll let you rest."
Still crying Danny saw that his uncle was serious so with all of the strength he could muster he carried the rod once more and placed in onto his shoulders, then positioning himself he stood firmly and using his desire to rest he pushed his body to its limit managing the one squat.
Seeing this Alaric was impressed but Danny had trouble standing then he eventually ended up passing out. Danny abruptly woke up looking around he saw that he was back in his room.
"Ugh back in my room? Wait is that the sun, is it tomorrow? My stomach is guess I should go eat... AAARGH MY LEGS!!."
Danny found himself on the ground with his legs aching and barely being able to stand properly. Unfortunately his stomach was still growling so he had no choice but to fight through the pain. Standing up with great effort Danny started walking slowly agony showing on his face. As he continued walking the pain gradually began fading.
Reaching the kitchen with great effort Danny saw a bowl containing fruit and a note next to it that read "had a feeling making breakfast would be a challenge for you today so I made some for you. Also I urge you to continue with your training today no matter how painful your body may feel. So good luck" seeing this Danny could only sigh in frustration and after finishing his food he reluctantly went to the backyard.
Staring at the buckets with slightly annoyed expression Danny approached them, picking them up he felt that buckets were a lot lighter than the previous day putting them down once more he observed the buckets and to his horror he found that they were completely empty.
He quickly noticed another note stationed where the buckets were, "Judging by your emotions yesterday I had a feeling you'd try cutting the training and half so I took the courtesy of emptying the buckets and I also took the measures of sealing every tap in the house so you wouldn't get any ideas, good luck.". Resisting the urge to shout Danny just crumbled the note and threw it as far as he could.
Looking back at the buckets Danny saw that he had no choice so determined to get this over and done as quickly as possible he carried the buckets and started running towards the forest before heading for the well site. With only thirty minutes of running Danny managed to arrive at the well.
Upon filling the buckets with water Danny quickly attached them back onto the rod. This time being ready he picked up the rod and placed it on his shoulders, looking at his legs he urged them to move and he began moving this time managing to at least pick up his feet.
Moving along the forest outline Danny thought to himself that he didn't want to repeat yesterday's saga so he steeled himself to reach the house before nightfall so with fierce determination he moved on. Time passed and Danny eventually made it back to the house this time he was fortunate to make it just before dusk. Upon returning he placed the rod on the ground.
Halting everything Danny took a breather before picking up the rod once more. He then positioned himself before starting to do the squats. Unfortunately he only managed to do a single squat, his legs could not handle the strain so after taking another short breather he tried once more but still the result did not differ.
Taking another short breather he tried again and still yet again he could only manage one squat as he continued on and on frustration accumulated until eventually he reached his breaking point.
"AAARGH THESE STUPID LEGS, WHY WHY CAN'T YOU DO MORE THAN ONE SQUAT!!"
In his angered state Danny found himself punching the wall until he eventually calmed down. Looking at his fist he saw the blood accumulated from punching the wall soon after the pain quickly affected him and in a panic he dipped his hands into the water filled bucket. A slight feeling of relief came over his hands and as he looked into the bucket he saw the water turning crimson.
After a few minutes he took his hands out of the water to check them but as soon as he so blood began dripping out of his knuckles so he quickly put his hands back into the water. With nothing else he could do Danny remained in this position until eventually his uncle returned. Finding Danny with his hands dipped into the water Alaric could only look at him in confusion.
"Hey Danny what are you doing there."
"Uncle you're back already?!"
"Yes.. I am, what's going on. Come on Danny tell me what's happening."
Seeing his uncle's unrelenting expression Danny reluctantly took his hands out of the water showing his uncle his extremely bruised knuckles. Unfortunately the wind entering the wound on his knuckles caused great pain forcing him to once more dip his hands into the water.
"Danny what happened, what are you're hands so bruised!? Be honest with me."
"I...I'm sorry uncle, I was just so tired from yesterday and my legs were still sore so I quickly went to the well and filled up the buckets and when I returned I could only do one squat no matter how hard I tried so I got really angry and punched the wall hard."
"So you let your frustration control you. Danny look I understand that you were frustrated but you can't go punching walls when you get angry. As a knight you'll deal with far more frustrating things so you need to learn how to control your anger, don't let it consume you but rather let it empower you to achieve your goals."
"Sniff sniff, okay."
"Alright let me go get the bandages, wait right here I'll be right back."
Alaric went inside the house and quickly came back with some ointment and bandages. Urging Danny to take out his hands Alaric quickly applied the ointment on the affected area before wrapping his hands with the bandage.
"It's not the best solution but it'll hold out, now come on let's head inside."
