A small smile appeared on Lyriana's face after hearing that. "He can be annoying, but he's always there when it really counts," she said.
Draven, looking at her with no emotion on his face, said, "So you really care about him, don't you?"
Lyriana's eyes widened, and she blushed slightly from hearing what he said. She bowed down, saying, "I'm sorry, Young Master. I spoke my thoughts out loud."
Draven said, "Don't sweat it. You're free to speak your mind. After all, you're a maid, not my slave."
Lyriana said, smiling slightly, "Understood, Young Master. I will keep that in mind."
We see Aldric appear beside them, saying, "Your Highness, I have discovered a nearby goblin den—an ideal place for you to hone your archery skills."
"Alright, lead the way," Draven said as the three of them quickly disappeared.
The scene changed. We see five goblins walking in the forest. One of them was suddenly pierced in the head by a Mana arrow, letting out a low growl before falling down. The others, hearing the sound, turned their heads as another one was pierced through the eye, followed by another pierced in the neck. We see Draven with Aldric and Lyriana standing on top of a tree. Draven drew the bow, Mana gathering and condensing into an arrow. He shot it, killing another goblin. He jumped down from the tree, shooting another arrow and killing the last goblin. Lyriana and Aldric both jumped down, standing beside Draven, who was still standing in the same spot as when he shot the arrow. Damn, I'm better than I thought, but I'd prefer using a Glock instead, he thought. He said, "Hey, Aldric, get the magic stones."
Aldric inwardly thought, I'm supposed to be a guard, not a scavenger, but I guess he got my name right. Outwardly he said, "Of course, Your Highness." Digging through monster guts—just how I hoped to spend my day.
"Draven just shut the hell up and do what you're told, and keep up," Draven said as heand Lyriana disappeared, jumping from tree to tree. Aldric took out the magic stones from the goblins' corpses using blood magic.
