"Let's see if this works..." I muttered, still standing atop him
And those few seconds were enough for me to grasp his technique i had no way of winning with my dull methods I wouldn't even have scratched him I'd gambled everything on this plan if I could learn his technique, I could fight him using his own power against him
I was still contemplating this when suddenly four of his limbs came from behind to split my throat apart
I leaped from his head, but my body had reached its limits from the beginning of this fight. Even so, I pushed myself to perform these techniques. The greatest strain came from my square ability, and with my healing constantly working, my energy was draining at a rapid rate and so
I have come to know of one thing since jaipa had gained a physical body my tai energy is draining at much rapid rate compered to before if i have to say things his physical body is using my tai energy as a fuel ! So now i had too much at a disadvantage suddenly realising I was still in battle shaking my head i pushed my thoughts aside
When I landed, one of his arms followed me I ducked low trying to dodge it but it still scratched my shoulder, adding another injury on my already injured body. I sighed.
"How many wounds do I have now? Sheesh"
Before I could think further, pure instinct took hold of me i kicked forward, pushing myself back just as a blazing white tentacle erupted from the ground where I had been standing
I shifted my gaze to my right and up into the sky a slow, hungry smile spread across my face as I felt the monster's rising energy
My body, bathed in tai energy tinged with red light, glowed brighter and stronger This time would be different from before for the first time, I was releasing this much power from within
That monster turned my way, looking somewhat excited. He laid a hand on one of his beads, and the white sphere began to burn with purple flame
Rather than rush in to fight, I kept my distance, taking advantage of the time to heal my injured body. I was acutely aware of the changes within me and my body's current state. I chose not to fear the inevitable, instead using it to fuel my determination to inflict as much damage as possible.
With that in mind, I pushed every unnecessary thought aside and rushed
My energy fluctuations rippled through the air around me, and I knew what was coming. Pushing myself away with a compressed blast of tai energy, I narrowly dodged a series of sudden combustions as the beads bloomed around me like deadly white flowers
Dodging this many attacks had caused pain in my bones, but I pushed aside my worries and ran toward the monster, evading the beads countless times. I spotted my blade lying on the ground i rolled and grasped it, and in that instant formed the Square, spawning behind Rakta's head. I began to wrap my blade with burning red tai energy, but before I could make contact with its head, one of its arms blocked my blade.
This time, however, I had wrapped too much concentrated energy around my weapon. My blade cut through its arm, and when it was about to strike its head for the first time, it moved since the battle began
Without taking a moment to think, I dashed forward, closing the gap between us in three steps and as i aimed for his midsection, but a white spike similar to its hand erupted from the ground between us, parrying my swing and pushing me into a nearby tree
The impact was devastating. Now Rakta didn't give me a second to rest, as those white spikes and the three beads aimed for my head came my way
Coughing blood, with a broken body, I tried not to use the square technique as much as possible, but it seemed like it was my only option in this unwinnable battle. Again I formed the square, and this time, thinking I should take a moment to recover, I spawned behind a tree. But moments later, two beads crashed through my hiding place
I managed to duck the first, but the second smashed into my chest with a sickening crack of ribs. The impact sent me sprawling across the blood-soaked ground. Before I could recover, the third bead slammed into my leg and my bone cracked the pain was excruciating
" Hfff... if I had not put a shield of tai energy around my legs it would have broken by now "
As the beads retreated back to Rakta i pushed myself up on my unbroken leg, and watching me, the monster shifted its arms, transforming them into blade like appendages similar to before
It was done playing the knight lay unconscious nearby, his armor shattered The princess remained motionless behind the cover where I'd dragged her
The monster started to advance, gliding across the ground without walking
"Come then," I whispered, feeling blood pool in my mouth. "Let's end this."
I formed a square with my hands, preparing to move
As Rakta closed the distance, I vanished, reappearing behind it but the monster had anticipated this from me one of its serpentine arms lashed backward, catching me mid-materialization and that blow sent me crashing through a tree trunk
My vision blurred now I had internal bleeding, multiple fractures, and my healing ability was working overtime just to keep me conscious. I struggled to stand, but my body refused to cooperate me
" Worthless piece of shit "
I know i was pushing it too hard but still it had to if i don't stand i will die the moment
Rakta loomed over me, the ring above its head spinning faster. The beads began to glow with increasing intensity. They were charging for a final attack
I had one chance left
All of the beads aimed toward my head and with unimaginable speed moved to finish me
Then I whispered the first syllable: "Hra."
"Khma ! " I continued, blood dripping from my lips
The beads' glow dimmed marginally
"Sauh "
Rakta's faceless head tilted, as if in confusion
I completed the sequence: "Hra khma Sauh Raktatandava "
The beads stopped midair
Through gritted teeth, I smiled at Rakta, whose many arms had frozen in what I interpreted as surprise
"You're not the only one who can command these," I said, my voice barely audible as I continued coughing blood
With a thought, I sent one bead flying back at Rakta. The monster deflected it easily with one arm, but that wasn't the point. I'd proven I could control them and I had gained some time to clinging to my life and that was all i had
I commanded two beads to attack they shot toward Rakta with precision, but the monster was far more adept at controlling them compered to me
It easily redirected one into a tree and caught the other in one of its many hands The remaining one bead orbited me
Now what remained was for me to attack directly. I rushed forward recklessly, wrapping my blade with tai energy. When it hit me with one of its many arms, sending me backward, it seemed surprised that I didn't use my square technique. To its disappointment, the one bead orbiting around me was at my back, taking a cover. As I got close to Rakta and was struck by its hand, all its attention was on me, In that split second, the bead was in front of its face, and I appeared at its back
Wrapping tai energy around my wooden blade, I struck just as it turned its head at the bead's approach and for the first time, my blade connected with its body.
I sniffed in confusion "What?"
"Why can't I.....penetrate ? It's like its skin is made of iron ! "
Fuckk ! "
"Even with tai energy wrapped around my blade, I couldn't cut it... I could only leave a scratch on its neck, even using my full strength what i could do to it was This much only "
"Ha! What now?"
This monster was pushing my blade back just with its bare neck alone, My blade wrapped in tai energy, was being forced back by nothing but its neck. In that moment, I felt a cold gaze not just cold, but something fundamentally different ! Between me and him
Suddenly, purple glowing energy began to release from its body. What happened next was a blur. I found myself lying on the ground, bleeding heavily. Looking down at my body, I saw six holes punched through me. One of its arms transformed into a scythe for a second, it did nothing, but then purple energy wrapped around the scythe-like hand as it stood there, watching me slowly dying.
After a moment of contemplation, its scythe-like hand came for my neck
The interesting part was that there was nothing more I could do except close my eyes and wait for the blow that would end the match perhaps even end my life...
But the pain never came when I opened my eyes, the monster's hand was buried in the ground inches from my face. The impact had once again destroyed the earth beneath me, sending a shockwave of pain through my body
And there was another figure standing there, holding my blade
"What do you think, brate? Do I look cool?"
"Jaipa?" I whispered in disbelief...
