Dominick and Shawn had the same thought after hearing Jonathan's words.
'How shocked were they that she did this for even Jonathan Morgrave to slip so easily?'
Shawn couldn't help but wonder if this was part of Wynter's plan when she asked him for help.
"Sir Morgrave, we only wish to see the one who called for us for help. Then, if we are wrong, we will be on our way. Because we just could not ignore the voice that asked for help," Lenon did not point out what Jonathan just said.
"I told you Wynter is asleep, why must I wake her up when she is very tired?" Jonathan argued.
"And if that voice is truly hers, why did she not ask the police for help?"
Lenon couldn't help but chuckle, "I think the answer is quite obvious. At her age, she could not trust everyone in the police force."
His tone was that of mock, causing Jonathan to become even more furious.
"Get out of my house. I was kind enough to accommodate you despite how disrespectful you are in coming here at such a time. I cannot receive any more disrespect than this," he angrily pointed towards the door.
"I'm sorry, Sir Morgrave. But I don't think I can just leave without seeing that child after hearing what you said," Lenon did not back down.
Jonathan frowned.
It was also only then that Charlie realized his father's mistake.
They were too shocked to hear that Wynter had reached out to a big family to help her leave their family.
They were already shocked that she asked for a birthday gift of them letting her leave, what more, seeing these two families coming together before the break of dawn at their house.
"We never said that the granddaughter we are looking for is Miss Wynter Morgrave. How can you be so sure that the one asking for help is her?"
Jonathan opened his lips and closed them.
His hands trembled at the thought of his mistake.
Of all people, it was he who actually made such a silly mistake?
Lenon leaned forward, "Now, Sir. Do you really want to make this into a bigger one? As the head of Ashcroft Nexus, I think you understand how big this will become if you still insist on not letting us see, Miss Wynter."
Jonathan was huffing in rage, but he could not do anything.
If a while ago, Lenon was only asking him to let them see the person who asked for help.
This time, he was sure that they needed to take Wynter away from this house.
'That wench!! How dare she!!!' he thought.
But facing these two families, if he insists that Wynter is not around…
He could not imagine the damage they would receive.
He harrumphed, "Fine, if you insist that she is where you think she is, then go ahead and look for her."
Lenon smiled, "And if we find her in a condition she isn't supposed to be, we will take her away from your care."
"How dare you decide such a matter!!" Charlie could no longer hold back.
Wynter is very useful to them.
She exceeds anyone's expectations, and if she were to leave their side now, it would be a great loss to them.
"Please let me remind you, Sir Charlie. It is Miss Wynter's decision now that she is of age to decide independently for herself."
Charlie gritted his teeth while glaring at Lenon.
He always felt some kind of jealousy towards this person.
At a young age, Lenon had already shown such a capable side of himself as a businessman.
Despite the jealousy, Charlie never felt this much hatred towards him.
Right now, this hatred stems from the fact that Lenon came here to take Wynter away. With how things have unfolded, they were taken by surprise, and it will be inevitable that they may take Wynter.
He felt immense rage and hatred that the only thing he knew he excels in from Lenon is now being taken by Lenon himself.
If any of their guests were to know of his thoughts, they would all frown and shake their heads at him.
He was treating Wynter as if she were his object, something who would obey him no matter what he wanted her to do. He was treating Wynter as a literal doll.
Lenon sighed before looking at Dominick and Shawn.
Shawn looked at his phone and followed the dot.
Quite amazing enough, upon entry to their house, the 3D view of the house became more detailed, and he can see clearly just where he should walk in order to get to the place where the dot is.
Minerva warily followed them with the rest, and when they got closer to the stairs to the basement, she couldn't help but grab Charlie's arm.
Dominick and Shawn were the ones in front of them while the four of them followed, and behind were Lenon, Tiffany, and Sabrina.
"I really am wondering how she became your rival in the past. She could not even act during unexpected situations," Sabrina whispered to Tiffany.
Tiffany simply smiled.
She still could not comprehend how these people could treat their children in such a way.
They should be grateful that these children were born and are healthy, yet they make use of them as if they were nothing but objects.
Sabrina could feel the changes in Tiffany and could only wrap her arm around Tiffany's arm.
Jonathan was raging inside, seeing as Wynter had truly shown these people where she is.

He couldn't help but glare at Nora, who was cowering while walking beside him.
Feeling the coldness of his glare, Nora couldn't help but tremble even more.
