"So what exactly did you guys talk about in there?"
Cynthia asked looking into Rope's eyes with some curiosity.
Rope shook his head with no intention of saying anything and simply said, "There are some things I can't tell you right now, I'll tell you when I can talk to you."
Rope didn't want to lie to Cynthia, so he simply wouldn't say anything right now.
Cynthia's eyebrows furrowed slightly, but seeing Rope's determined face, she also knew that she shouldn't be able to ask anything, so she rolled her eyes at Rope and rolled over.
Rope saw Cynthia's temper, but can only be helpless bitter smile, and then from Cynthia's back to embrace her. But he wasn't going to open his mouth to explain anything.
He also didn't want Cynthia to be aggravated, but looking at that bright red leak warning, Rope was also helpless. He'd been warned before when he'd been discussing these things with Aka and Red both.
If Rope were to make a mistake, it was expected that the company would simply turn him over to the Cultural Affairs Bureau...and after his last meeting with the guys from the Bureau, Rope didn't want to actually commit a crime at the hands of these guys.
The Cultural Affairs Bureau had left a deep shadow in Rope's young mind...
It was too powerful, and Rope couldn't even see through the guy...
But Rope was lost in thought as he stroked Cynthia's hair...
Seriously, he could almost see why their non-disclosure agreements were so rigidly limited. Just how many organizations were using these sub-worlds as their resources.
They didn't want the people of this world, to know what they themselves were really up to. It was like a god sitting high in the nine heavens, watching the struggles and warmth of the ants.
And then laughed.
"Don't think too badly of us, will you..."
Year's helpless voice came from his ear.
"Are you that idle? As the owner of the company, it seems like nothing to talk to me all day..."
Rope was also strange, it was reasonable to say that such a big man was not busy gaming with those big shots all day long, but just chatting and farting with himself every day. Appearing to be fine when he was speculating about him with malicious intent, he would even come out to explain himself...
What kind of big shot is that?
"Where's all the hooking up, the main universe is in constant strife, but there hasn't been a war between the voids for hundreds of thousands of years. We can all be good gentlemen, respecting each other!"
"And then desperately trying to put the screws to others when they're not looking."
Rope said with no small amount of malice.
"Wrong! Big mistake!"
Year's voice seemed righteous, as if he were about to chant his oaths and slogans at the Pledge of Allegiance.
"We generally go down dead."
And so the atmosphere instantly went from an opulent auditorium to a tavern on the corner of an alley filled with the stench of alcohol.
The bitchy tone was not at all big brotherly.
Rope's face remained unchanged as he spat madly in his mind.
"Then why don't you let the people of the secondary world know the truth about this world?"
"I was born on Earth, why don't I tell Earth about me?"
Year's rhetorical question relieved Rope.
"Does knowledge come with a price?"
"Everything in this world has its price, and nothing is as simple as you think."
"I'm asking the last question, I think."
"Eh, I happen to be in a good mood today, and I'm free. You can ask a few more."
Year looked at the gorgeous young girl beside him who was putting up her own empire clothes, and said with a palpitating heart as he met the young girl's sultry eyes.
He couldn't wait for Rope to talk to him for a while longer now, he was really quite afraid that he would be eaten again by this empress.
"No need, one is enough." Rope, however, didn't have the intention to ask again. Just like what was said before, all questions come with a price.Rope simply didn't want to know too much. Knowing too much would only cause a huge shock to her peaceful life.
"Why are you telling me all this. We're called saviors in a nice way, but in a bad way...aren't we just pawns?"
"...You're a pawn, but I still have great expectations for you."
"Expect me to be a chess player?"
"That's right."
"Isn't Shiba Kugo good?"
Year was dumbfounded to hear such a question.
"I had expected this conversation of ours to come much later. At least until you finish this quest."
Rope looked unconcerned, "Since I'm asking now, you can tell me now."
"Well, after all, I hate the Riddler too, so...as you wish...Shiba Kugo's power seed is strange...I honestly don't even know why he inherited it."
"What kind of power seed."
"Wukong."
Rope froze even as he heard those two words. It really is Wukong...
"That's why, I'm not sure what this power will develop into in the end. Because Great Sage he is indeed still alive. So I don't want to gamble."
"I'm second best?"
"No, you are the best of the best. It's always easy to pick the best of the best, and both you and Shiba Kugo were drawn by lot with your eyes closed. I don't have any prophetic powers. That asshole from the Cultural Affairs Bureau won't help me at a time like this either. So I'll just have to draw lots from among you Saviors."
Rope was half-convinced, knowing that Year had little need to lie to him, but it was still hard to be convinced by such a hasty method of selection.
"Anyway, Rope, I don't want to come across in your mind as some kind of bad guy who does nothing but evil for profit. I've felt that kind of pain before. Honestly, I don't feel that these pains were a help to me on my way to growth...old me even if I came all the way from Dragon Pride I'd still be just as strong as I am now, if not stronger."
"That's why I won't let the old man of the last term arrange so many misunderstandings and dogged plots for you as well. I'll give you the most brutal missions, but I won't meddle in your affairs either. I'm still young. There are still hundreds of thousands of years left in this position as well."
"I can keep doing things like nurturing new generations. There will be the next one without you. So I don't want the two of us to love each other for hundreds of thousands of years. It's too painful."
Rope even heard heartbreak in Year's tone. It was hard to imagine what he'd actually been through before.
"Rope, that's all I'm going to say to you, and you shouldn't feel too special. Maybe I have other people in my hands that I'm training. Just watch over your mission for now."
After saying that, Year said nothing more and quietly left the place.
Rope liked this kind of leader who didn't say anything in the dark. He was also willing to do things under the command of such a leader. As for what the leader wants himself, it is best to do what is in front of him first.
Rope shook his head, then buried his head in Cynthia's hair, sniffing it almost greedily, then fell into sleep.
"Rope, get up!"
Rope was shaken up by Cynthia. Then he looked at Cynthia coquettishly smiling in front of his eyes. Rope laughed as he wrapped Cynthia into his arms.
Rope was not thinking too much about this kind of day, wait until this kind of shit here is solved, Rope first in this world for a few hundred years of peace and quiet before saying.
Shiba Kugo didn't want to leave his world, so of course Rope didn't want to either.
Cynthia pinched Rope's nose, and said in a rude manner, "Hurry up and get up! The food is all ready for you."
Rope blushed all of a sudden. Recalling how he had managed to escape the night before, he dragged Cynthia out of the kitchen and went in to make a dinner himself.
I didn't realize that I wouldn't be able to escape today after all.
"Er, Cynthia, I'm...not in the habit of eating breakfast, so either...forget it."
Rope said with a fawning smile.
In the next instant, his nose was pinched by Cynthia.
"I remember you quite like breakfast don't you."
The smile on Cynthia's face remained unchanged. But Rope just somehow felt a lot colder.
Gulping, she then nodded in an almost stupefied manner.
Cynthia wasn't even talking in a consultative tone, okay!
Just like that, Rope put on a pair and walked towards the breakfast battlefield with the bravado of dying generously with a smile on his face.
As a result, when she saw the breakfast on the table, Rope was surprised to find that the selling price was actually not bad!
Cynthia looked at Rope's astonished eyes and smugly spoke, ''Hmph! I've been practicing for a long time specifically too, okay."
Rope gave Cynthia a hug with some surprise, then quietly smiled at the woman who kept getting better and better, and said with some fascination, "Tough job."
"It's nothing. All of this is what I'm supposed to do."
Cynthia embraced Rope in the same way and then said, "It's what I'm supposed to do isn't it, you're getting better and better and I should be getting better and better as well."
And so the two had a seemingly uneventful breakfast and then spent a tender time looking at each other in silence.
Still, after breakfast, the two of them went into the midst of their snuggles, after all, they both still had their roles to play. Whether it was the Champion or the Savior, they were both existences that were vital to the existing order of this world. It was also impossible for them to put the world at risk just for their own selfish desires.
"Alright! We're going to head to the neighborhood of Mount Coronet."
Rope spoke to his crew after returning to his cottage.
Whitley and Diana said breathlessly, "Okay..."
Rope scratched his head even as he heard their breathless voices, then said with some confusion, "What's wrong with you guys?"
"Didn't eat..."
Whitley said listlessly.
"Didn't I tell you guys to go out and eat?"
Rope wondered, could the living be driven to death by food when they had money?
"Too lazy to go out, and it's not good. I was thinking you'd be back yesterday, but I didn't wait until you got back, and I was too hungry to move, so I starved again."
Diana interjected.
There was also Sennogi, who was lounging on the couch, nodding. She thought everything tasted good though. But with Rope out of the picture, she didn't want to head outside at all.
You can't expect someone who has experienced the destruction of their village to be able to not have any mental problems at all. Rope suddenly realized this for a moment, and thought to herself that she should still take Sennogi to see a psychiatrist.
"Then I'll go ahead and cook for you guys?"
Rope asked tentatively.
"Don't go yet!" ×3
The corners of Rope's mouth twitched slightly before she shook her head and silently walked towards the kitchen.
After some maneuvering, Rope looked at the three girls who were wolfing down their food. These girls are really too...
"Eat slowly, no one is stealing from you."
Rope said helplessly.
After a while, the three girls who had eaten their bellies round lay on the sofa with a satisfied face. Although it was breakfast, the three people still ate breakfast as if it was the last supper.
Rope looked over and said, "It's better to wait for you guys to digest properly for a while before we set off."
The three women unanimously gave an ok gesture.
Rope also nodded his head, and by the way, he closed his eyes and silently revised his plan in his own mind after entering the village. After all, according to Red's information. The Pokémon there could not be called friendly. And it was different from the cave in Eiichi's village. It looked like the Pokémon in this small village were no loners.
Once these Pokémon were in groups, they all represented a geometric increase in combat power.
Especially among Rope's perceptions. What the Ancients were better at was the Legion Flow tactic.
After all, the Legion Flow was also a relatively well-molded fighting school.
Rope quietly contemplated the situation in front of him silently pondering over the countermeasures.
Not long after, Whitley softly called out, "Rope, Rope, okay, let's go."
Rope nodded then silently asked Hoopa, "Can we teleport straight there?"
"No problem, but I'm not sure how far away the exact location there is from the small mountain village you mentioned."
Hoopa instead spoke directly.
Rope shook his head and said, "It doesn't matter, take your time." After saying that, Rope turned his head to look at Sennogi, "Sennogi, are you sure you want to come along?"
Sennogi nodded without hesitation.
Rope couldn't see any retreat or hesitation as he stared into her eyes.
Rope could only nod helplessly before speaking, "Then follow me, you'll be better off Arcanine later."
Sennogi nodded obediently.
Rope nodded towards Hoopa and then glanced at the various equipment Whitley and the others had prepared, so they walked into the interdimensional hole Hoopa had prepared.
The group quickly crossed over into the interdimensional hole and Rope released Arcanine, keeping Arcanine close to Sennogi's side.
Rope cared for Sennogi, not only because Sennogi was crucial to traveling through time and space after himself, but more importantly, Sennogi had a strong dependence on himself, so strong that Rope couldn't ignore it.
So Rope had no intention of leaving her behind either, he was ruthless with his enemies but always soft on his own people.
"Looks like we got lucky."
Rope said with a raised eyebrow as he looked at the smoke of a cooking fire drifting up in the distance between the trees.
