"Number Three, what's the situation on your side?"
A cool female voice came from the headset.
A woman in her regular clothes with large sunglasses and holding a dorky looking Growlithe sat on a park bench and glanced at the hotel where the players were staying, which was diagonally behind her to the left.
Stared at that one window in particular.
Then said, "All clear. The target hasn't made any return to normal behavior."
This woman with sunglasses said in the same cool tone. Although there was the blockage of the mask, but if one listened carefully one could still hear that there was almost no difference between these two voices in terms of timbre.
"Aye, you two... everyone's voices were already exactly the same. You two speak in the same tone again. We won't be able to tell who's in command by then..."
Another identical timbre came from the headphones, but the tone was very different from the two just now. One could tell it was another person at first listen.
"I think so. Usually it's fine for everyone to be spread out all over the place, but when we get together it's just a pain in the ass."
The tone of his voice carried a few hints of impatience. Clearly a grumpy person.
So more different voices came out, in all shapes and sizes, all sorts of things, but on the contrary, the sound and color didn't sound any different.
Just as the scene was getting more and more chaotic, a voice that was not angry and carried a few hints of old age came into the ears of the women.
"All be quiet! This is here to carry out a mission, not for you to chat!"
And so the channel instantly fell silent. The channel that was originally noisy like a food market that was nearing its end was suddenly silent, like a classroom that had been raided by the homeroom teacher.
"In itself, letting someone sneak into the assembly was a mistake on the part of our Jenny family, and now you guys are still here without a proper form. Like what!"
The mature female voice continued with a sense of entitlement.
"All of you stay in your positions and stay ready to support the others. This opponent is very dangerous, we can't afford to be careless, do you understand!"
"Understood!" ×n
After everyone responded in unison, the channel once again returned to calm.
The disguised Jenny was still looking at the brightly lit room.
She hadn't said a single word just now when the channel was catching up with the big gathering, and naturally, she would be even less likely to speak now.
Just sitting silently on the chair, like a normal noblewoman who came out to walk her dog.
While teasing Growlithe in her arms, she glanced at her wristwatch.
It was already almost 10pm.
According to a normal person's state of life, she should have finished walking her dog and headed back.
She shook her head darkly.
"Another unproductive day."
But that was normal, how could a guy who was able to conceal himself from the entire police system and then become a contestant and make it to the quarterfinals reveal himself so easily...
With that in mind, she was going to get up and leave with Growlithe in her arms and proceed to the next stage of surveillance.
But it was time to change shifts...
But the moment she got up, she heard the sound of 'fluttering' wings waving from the bushes.
Looking over at the sound, she didn't find anything. But vaguely, it was the trace of something that was sensed.
She took a closer look. Facing the moonlight, she finally caught sight of the Murkrow flying towards a short distance away, glistening with an oily luster in the moonlight.
She rolled her eyes and gave a veiled curse of obscurity before continuing to twist and wind her way in the direction of her 'home'.
Some distance away, the large warm yellow light reflected in the window had turned into a candle flame.
The corners of her originally flirtatious and charming mouth quickly pulled down, and she took her own glasses off and her mask off, revealing the pretty face of the Jenny family. Then pressing down on her headset, she said in a rush, "There's a Murkrow hovering around the target, and intentionally came over to look at me..."
The mature female voice in the channel that was not angry and authoritative sounded once again, saying, "All of you, get ready, each of you will be responsible for your own post, number three, you will quickly organize the personnel to set up your defenses."
"Yes!"
Thus, in the darkness of the night, one Jenny after another began to act.
——————————————
"You've already been exposed."
Murkrow said as he stood on the back of a chair in this plush but uncomplicated room, looking at Taito in front of him.
But his beak didn't open and close when he spoke, and a closer look revealed that it wasn't even Murkrow who was actually making the sound, but rather a horn-like communicator coming out of his neck.
"Don't talk to me if you're full of crap, something's up!"
Taito rolled his eyes helplessly before taking a drink from his quilt, then grabbing the bottle from the table and filling it for himself.
Clearly not a wine taster...
"Good wine has no style for you to drink."
"I had Murkrow lead me on a scout earlier. You've got at least four groups of five Jenny teams each watching over you right now. It's not going to be easy to save you from this kind of scene."
The man's voice came over the comm without meaning to lament.
"Heh, but don't be nosy and come to my rescue. I feel like I'm really quite good right now. I'll sell all of you guys later and get a long career in League for a change."
Taito let out a 'heh' and then said with quite a bit of sarcasm.
It wasn't clear if he was sneering at the other party, or himself.
"The organization doesn't owe you anything, and what you want to do has nothing to do with the organization."
The voice of the communicator remained calm. It felt as if the matter of Taito's intention to betray the organization wasn't as important as the fact that he was drinking like a cow chewing on peanuts.
"Come on, of course it has nothing to do with the organization. You don't need to strike an official Organization tone to talk to me either."
Taito took another bullish sip, then barred his mouth and continued, "Water, you'd be damned if you'd take the organization seriously, you smirker."
There was no sound on the comm for a long while, as if the guy known as 'Water' had been poked and prodded.
Taito glanced away and didn't say anything, just drank in silence.
A few moments later, Water's voice came again. It was accompanied by a 'Boo'.
"Sorry, seeing as you were drinking too much, I went and got a bottle as well."
Taito rolled her eyes and said, "Don't you feel like this exchange where you can see me but I can't see you is so unfair?"
"Oops! 'Roar' you forgive me! I was so sad when I saw you throw away Wailord's mask, I opened three bottles that night to celebrate... to mourn!"
"Plus, isn't hitting the information gap advantage my usual tactic!"
Taito bristled, "You...celebrating is celebrating...mourning isn't as good as celebrating, like I'm going to hang up."
"If Psychic did give the order, you'd have to die even if you didn't want to!"
Water's voice was still as gentle as ever.
If it wasn't for the sound of pouring wine over there that also came out, it might have really given off an image of an unearthly missionary in general.
"One by one, the stronger the strength, the smaller the guts." Taito muttered, "It's obvious that they all want to see the organization's bottom line, but they don't want to take any risks at all. Pushed me out straight away."
"When it succeeds, there will be quite a few benefits for you, and when it doesn't, there will naturally be compensation for you. You are also an old man, we don't need to chat about this kind of thing."
Water said blandly.
Taito glanced at the bottle of wine that had already been drained, then shook his head, put down the wine glass, turned on the TV, and watched the recent hot movie.
He watched it for a couple of moments, then felt sleepiness welling up in him, only to change the channel in a hurry.
"Ever since Diantha reduced her movie workload, this entire movie circle's ability to absorb money has weakened by three points!"
Water couldn't help but sigh.
Taito also ignored him and asked dryly, "I heard that Flying guy sub Koga where he suffered a loss?"
"Flying is still far from being able to face a prepared Elite Four. But young people, it's good to suffer a little."
Water's voice finally took on a bit of a happy wave.
Taito handed Murkrow a Pokéblock in his hand, and Murkrow grunted twice before happily eating it.
Taito's cynical eyes showed a bit of softness.
"I can't imagine what's so fascinating about this organization that it can receive such a group of you all in it. One by one, they are hiding like they are turning into hidden dragons, but as a result, they have converged in one organization."
"The only two guys I could find out were Snow and Vision."
"The rest of you guys who were Agents to begin with I haven't been able to find out a single clue!"
Taito said this with some thievery, "Well? Boss! Give me some clues so that I can mix better in League, so that it will be easier for you to abandon your darkness when the time comes!"
"No need, thank you."
Water's voice still wanted to take the source of the great river. Clear, bland.
Taito spread out towards the sofa and said helplessly, "Water, this isn't very nice of you guys! Pushing me out as a pathfinder, but not even giving me a bit of leverage, there's no way this thing will work if I have no value."
Water on the other end of the communicator paused for a moment, as if pondering the pros and cons of this matter.
"Why are you still hesitating, Water! You have to know that the two of us are definitely on the same side! Ever since I joined the organization I've been working with you, right? If anything happens in the future, if I don't side with you, who will I side with?"
Taito saw that Water's mouth looked like it was about to loosen, so he hurriedly struck while the iron was hot.
"Hahaha, Roar, you really don't need to play these little tricks with me. You are from the plasma team, I don't believe a single punctuation mark of your words."
Water said with a loud laugh.
Unfortunately, big laugh looked like it was acted out, still warm and soft with no excitement.
"But I can give you one piece of information."
Water's words took a steep turn.
"Say!"
Taito said eagerly as if he was grasping some kind of life preserver.
Water was silent again for a moment, as if organizing his words for a while, and then said, "Psychic, Arceus, and Ghost are three guys who are very strong, so strong that they are far stronger than you people can predict."
"The rest of us Agents are not on the same level as them at all."
"Even all of us bundled together may not be able to play them. Can't even play Ghost and Psychic both."
Water's tone when he said this still sounded light on the surface. But Taito still heard a hint of resignation and helplessness.
There was even a hint of awe.
He'd felt 'you have your moments' at first; after all, Water had always struck him as being like a pot of lukewarm water, not too cold, not too hot, but too much of it would make him vomit.
Chatting with this guy for too long and listening to such words with little emotional fluctuation all the time would really make you vomit.
But a moment later he steeply shivered.
"Shit...stronger than you???"
Taito said this with a hint of a tremor.
"No, to put it simply, me and Flying, Ground, and Steel together can fight Ghost, and Fire, Grass, Rock, and Ice, and those guys together can fight Psychic."
"But as soon as Arceus comes out. All of us have to get down."
Water's tone returned to calm. But that unnatural feeling intensified.
"Shit...I always thought you were the champion of some region...don't tease me."
Taito really panicked...had he made too hasty a decision to betray the organization. Suddenly it felt like there was a future in hanging around the organization.
"Hey, just kidding, I'm not up to the level of a champion yet. Though it's still okay to be an Elite Four. But alas," Water sighed softly, "I don't have the ambition."
What an ambition...
A person whose ambition is not here has gotten to the Elite Four level, and he hasn't touched the edge of the Elite Four level now, or else the two sisters who went on the Stone Slab mission at that time might not have been Snow and Vision, but rather, he would have roared.
"No, Water ah, I am really panicking now... you said Mr. Arceus is such a strength, I this bought the organization you think I can have a good end?League can still transfer three or five champions to guard me?"
Taito said with some helplessness and some fear.
"Heh, three or five champions, you deserve it? A replacement for Professor Rope would probably be okay, you? Heh."
"But you don't have to worry too much.Psychic and the others seem like they're not interested in the League at all, and not at all interested in what the hell we people are trying to do."
"We Servants of God aren't even a villainous organization, okay. We are fundamentally different from Team Rocket and the others."
"They're trying to change the world."
Water laughed softly, dripping with mockery.
And just then, there was a knock at the door, and Taito grabbed Murkrow right up in one hand and clutched his mouth in a death grip to keep him from making a sound.
Then he gave a silencing gesture to the communicator around Murkrow's neck in front of him.
Then threw Murkrow under his own covers with one hand.
"Keep quiet, I'm going out to check it out first."
Then Taito was ready to go out and take a look.
Among a certain villa in the Kalos region
A fat young man in blue pajamas looked at the dark screen in front of him and smiled, "Team Rocket wants to change the world. And us?"
"Do we really have such a thing as goals?"
He said, and drank the red wine in his glass.
