Chapter 250 - Not Seen Here

Rope looked at these two evolutionary glows on the field and instantly felt like something was wrong with him.

No, this wasn't Kalos, so how could there be so many mega stones? Lots of Gym Leader didn't get it yet.

Rope thought to himself that it really wasn't a simple cabbage either, even if there could be a little more in Kalos, there was only a limited amount of it.

You could say that Kalos-born Morio had such a stone, Rope could understand that. But this native of Kanto was suspicious.

"Why do I get the feeling that this Taito guy is stupid, doesn't he know that a meeting put on like this makes people doubt themselves?"

Blue frowned, feeling that there was something fishy going on.

Lance also frowned, feeling as if things were getting strange.

It was clear that the information they had received was that this person was very cunning, and that something was going to go terribly wrong if they didn't deal with it carefully.

And previously, they did receive a similar response in the middle of their investigation of this person.

This person's overall infiltration had no trace, and if it wasn't for the very detailed investigation of the participants, I'm afraid that they still wouldn't be able to find any trace of this person in front of them.

To say that he was as cunning as a fox, this statement was not necessarily wrong.

"There must be something fishy about this. How could a guy like this not think that once he became a player he would be checked all over for his ancestors?"

Rope frowned, "Either this person is trying to screw up, or this person is intentionally being discovered by you guys."

Lance's frown deepened, "Intentionally discovered... what does this person want?"

"No idea. Cover up? Defecting to the League? It's all possible."

Rope shrugged, which meant they didn't have any loiterers around here or they wouldn't have dared to speak up about any of this.

Even then all three voices were kept low basically not letting their voices out.

"Come to think of it it's also a coincidence that this person was checked out by us just before the Quarterfinals."

Lance thought for a moment, then said.

"You won't be able to get your hands on anyone directly after Quarterfinals, after all, you won't be able to get your hands on anyone who's been in Quarterfinals."

Rope tsked, "This guy really has something ow."

Blue nodded back, "Agreed to, a talent indeed, no argument on that one."

Lance said with some slight anger. But there was no way to get even more angry. After all, in the end...it was them who were in charge of the investigation who were incompetent.

"Don't be too concerned, take a look, in a while maybe you'll know what this guy really wants."

Rope spoke out in relief.

Lance looked up again and realized that Super Swampert was being beaten by Super Beedrill, but the guy in front of him was losing with ease.

Super Swampert was getting the better of Taito, and every move he made was a reasonable fall.

The bias set off the Super Beedrill, who was attacking frantically, like a clueless Bean, only thinking of hitting the enemy with every move.

It wasn't like a defeat, but rather a humiliation.

Just like now, Taito, who was clearly in a disadvantageous position, looked as usual, while Morio, who was in the upper hand, looked as if he had been force-fed a large amount of money. It was as if he had been force-fed a huge pile.

"Good guy...is this a release of the Pacific Ocean?"

Blue looked at the situation on the opposing side of the battlefield and really just felt like this was not something he could spit out.

"Would you believe that the few Pokémon behind this guy are hot chickens, the kind that can't block a single move from the other Pokémon."

Rope said with a smirk on his face. Unfortunately it wasn't much of a laugh, the mockery and disdain was simply overflowing.

"It's too obvious, isn't it obvious that you're going to catch him and investigate him?"

Blue poked Lance with his elbow and said, "If this were me, I wouldn't be able to stand it if he provoked me like that, Lance, where's your dignity?!"

Lance pushed Blue away, "Fuck off, don't give me this shit."

After he pushed Blue away, he looked at this Taito, his face clouded.

"Should we arrest? Catching is a conspiracy, not catching could be a conspiracy."

Rope started to ask, "This man has taken the initiative. lance, you're taking a step back."

Lance gave Rope a blank stare and looked at the close-up on the screen of the guy named Taito and gritted his teeth, "Catch! I just don't believe that anyone would really have the audacity to disrupt the convention at this time."

"I'm afraid not..." interrupted Blue, speaking suddenly.

He pointed at Morio below, then said, "Looking at this kid's face, I guess he can't fight anymore."

Rope also noticed that Morio's face on the screen. With an iron face and gritted teeth, it felt like he just couldn't wait to bite Taito on the opposite side of the battlefield in order to relieve his hatred.

Right on the opposite side of the battlefield, Super Beedrill stabbed Super Swampert to the ground with a single shot. Before the referee could announce the winner of this match, Morio over there shouted with anger, "I concede!!!"

With that, he pulled out his Pokéball, then put the Beedrill back in, and without waiting for the referee's retention, he simply turned his head and walked out of the ring.

The referee froze for a moment, then shook his head helplessly, glanced at Taito who had a dumbfounded look on his face, and even kind of wanted to retain Morio, then announced, "Due to the fact that player Morio withdrew from the match in the middle of the match and conceded the loss, so for this match, the one who advances to the quarterfinals is... competitor Taito!!!!"

But there wasn't much applause coming from the arena.

This match is really high energy constantly, from the beginning of the double super evolution everyone thought that there is a wonderful battle about to be presented, then to that swimming ease of water everyone together suspect Morio bought Taito to play a fake match, the last is now Morio contains anger position directly admit defeat everyone before the guess directly be reported wrong... completely confused.

It's really true to say that this was a high energy match.

"Damn it! Refund!"

An audience member shouted excitedly.

Then there was a crowd clamoring.

Blue looked at the crowd in front of him and then looked at Rope who sat down as if he didn't know what was going on.

For a moment, he didn't know how to react.

"What! The! Fuck! Are! You! Doing?!!!" Lance pinched Rope's neck, but missed. Because Rope didn't think he had done anything wrong, he didn't try to maintain his body shape. Instead, he allowed himself to transform into elements.

"I watched a very disgusting battle, am I not allowed to vent?"

Rope said with a straight face as he sent his head flying and then looked down on Lance.

Lance looked at Rope in this bizarre form and was momentarily speechless, not knowing if he should spit on Rope's bizarre actions first or tell Rope how bad his behavior was first.

The action could only be described as very odd behavioral species.

And after being tossed around by Rope, Lance couldn't let out his anger even if he had it on the spot.

"Do you realize how big this is?"

Lance said angrily as he scattered Rope (though he never caught it).

"To say it's big is to stir up public opinion, and to say it's big isn't much. Small is an expression of viewer dissatisfaction. It's really small."

Rope dropped his head down without a care in the world, and then straightened his clothes.

A look of 'fearlessness' on his face.

Lance was literally dying to strangle this asshole...

Blue looked at the two men and shook his head helplessly, then helplessly said, "Come on, you don't have to bother, you don't have to fight with this guy for a while."

"Quarterfinals you can't do it directly, the top four is naturally even more so."

"Wait for the results of the next round to come out, then you can think about how to deal with this guy in front of you."

Rope also nodded, then said, "But I do think now that you can feel free to arrest him if he loses in the next round. If he's covering for someone else, his purpose has only been accomplished."

"That's true... "Lance also nodded involuntarily.

"Alright you two, don't think so much, let's go first, if you don't... "Blue glanced at Rope: "If we get caught with that leader shouting 'Fuck you! Money back!' The person who led the shouts is the newly promoted Doctor, then tomorrow's news headline will probably be 'Dr. Rope is extremely unhappy with the current Indigo Plateau Conference'."

Rope sneered, then said, "That's not a professional headline at all."

Then he thought for a moment and spoke, "It should be 'Renowned Researcher Angrily Rebukes Indigo Plateau Conference, What Do the Players Behind the Shadows Want?' That's right."

The corner of Lance's mouth twitched, "You still have research on this?"

Rope chuckles softly, "Not worth mentioning, not worth mentioning, just a simple hobby."

Lance:...

It's not like I'm complimenting you.

As they speak, the trio has retreated from the stands, while the emotions of the crowd are still high, and it's probably getting late if they wait to settle down...

————————————

"What do you guys think... how much does Rope really know?"

Lance asked with a bit of curiosity with an inquisitive undertone as he looked at the other three Elite Four in front of him.

"Doesn't seem to matter to you."

Granny Agatha spoke bluntly, completely different from the old feeling of being cold and silent, just voting silently.

"No, I haven't said anything else!!!" Lance was dumbfounded, why did she dislike herself right off the bat?

"No need to say anything else, Rope giving us the information is a favor, not giving it to us is a favor. How come you Lance can't do anything without Rope's intel?"

Granny Agatha said with some cynicism.

"Granny Agatha, you're an old Elite Four, stand your ground!"

Lance yelled rather painfully.

"My position is on Rope's side. Who do I stand for if not my grandson?"

Granny Agatha has a sneer on her lips. Behind her, Gengar covered his stomach and laughed.

Lance was dumbfounded, suddenly feeling that there was no reasoning with the old woman.

Then he looked to Lorelei. hoping that he might be able to back himself up and then use the beauty trick to get the information. He was sure Lorelei would gladly accept.

"I'm not really in favor of you going to Rope for the intel either. It's fine to ask for it outright, it changes the nature if it's in some prosecutor's capacity." Lorelei shook her head as well, throwing cold water on Lance.

"Rope is a researcher and has no affiliation with us per se. Secondly, aside from the fact that Rope is a Researcher, even though Rope is a Pokémon Trainer, we likewise don't have the right to order a Pokémon Trainer to hand over the resources they have in their possession. This is inconsistent with the very purpose of League's creation."

Lorelei pushed up her glasses and said seriously.

Lance realized that none of the women could be trusted, so he looked to his saving grace, Bruno.

Bruno met Lance's hopeful eyes and said with a straight face, "I think Lance you should trust yourself, back when there was no Rope, you were able to investigate big things and make your own decisions. But ever since Rope came and showed his commanding ability, you've basically refused to use your head."

"That's depravity, Lance!" deplored Bruno.

Lance quickly waved his hands, "Not so much, not so much, but it's just that I was planning to ask for information, it's not like I was planning to ask for information about the other side's lair." Saying that, he spread his hands and said, "Besides, if I ask, will he tell me?"

Bruno: ...

Lorelei: ...

Granny Agatha: ...

OK you, just ask for intel on the lair, no need to use your brain at all, you just went in and it's over.

"Lance, you've changed!" ×3

Now everyone was in pain.

"It's not... you guys..."

Lance looked helplessly at the three not-quite-teammates in front of him.

"Fu~ wu~"

Dragonite chirped while Lance pulled out his cell phone from his own pocket.

"Hey Rope? what's up?"

Lance asked as he opened his mouth.

"Didn't I tell you that I was going to give you some information, I said that you should take note of it, I can't tell you everything, after all, I'm not sure if there's a problem within League or not."

Rope's voice came out in the earpiece, and Lance heard it as if it was heavenly music.

"Fine, fine, tell me a little, I'll make a note of it."

He gave Lorelei and the others a smug look, then looked attentive and ready to hear some intel from Rope.

"I've told you some of this before, and then you guys should have dealt with 'Tornadus' aka 'Flying', and by the name you'd know that they're an organization that goes by the code name of attributes. They are the top brass of this organization. All of the Pokémon masked people after that are henchmen of their corresponding attributes."

Rope lent in.

"So far, their nominal leader 'Arceus' hasn't shown up until now, and the one who's taking the lead in matters is a woman with a Mew mask, codenamed 'Psychic'. "

"But Arceus should be real, as there should be quite a few people in the top echelons of this organization who have met this one."

"The basic goal of their organization is to collect Plate and awaken the God of Creation-Arceus who is sleeping between creations."

"Although they still haven't captured a single piece of Plate so far. lately I'm getting less and less convinced that this is their true purpose. I won't tell you the exact reason or my guess. You look into it as well, so that I don't create any preconceived notions for you."

"This organization collects a large number of strong folk, families, and criminals, gives them resources and money, and solidifies its members in a mercenary form."

"As long as you give enough benefits, you'll be able to collect them..."
