"Sure, I'll go get ready, and you can wait for me in the parking lot after work," Qin Keren said.
"Can we switch to waiting in front of the café outside the company? After all, there are a lot of people at the company. If someone sees me getting into your car, they might think we have something going on," Su Chen said as he scratched his head.
"Why? I'm not afraid, are you?" Qin Keren pouted.
But then again, she immediately agreed, "Alright, then wait at the café."
Having arranged the meetup with Qin Keren, Su Chen happily returned to his office.
He figured he might return home very late tonight or not at all.
He needed to come up with a way to fool Lin Xi.
What should he come up with?
After all, he hadn't been home for three days, and he wasn't going home today again. If he didn't come up with a good excuse, he might have to kneel and scrub the washboard when he got back.
Eventually, Su Chen thought of the most commonly used excuse.
