"I found him."
"That's good." Zhao Guosheng looked around and asked, "What about Earth Snake?"
"He ran away," Fang Yi replied.
"Really?" Zhao Guosheng's eyes showed disbelief.
"Really." Fang Yi remained calm, his expression betraying no hint of a lie.
Zhao Guosheng said, "Well, if he escaped, he escaped. But I'm really surprised that Earth Snake could escape from your hands."
Fang Yi smiled, unwilling to dwell on this issue with Zhao Guosheng, and believing that with Zhao's cunning, he likely guessed the truth too. Yet, neither man exposed it.
"Old Zhao, aren't you going to tell me something about this matter?" Fang Yi asked.
"Well, I wasn't planning to keep it from you."
