Chapter 16 - Chapter 16

Abby got up and looked out the window. Once she did, she saw all the dogs and cats escaping. Abby pointed at the window and said, "Don't just stand there, bring them back. Otherwise, this plan is for nothing." While the dogs were on the run, the animal control officers got into their trucks and pursued them, as Abby had said. A crowd of people watched as the herd of dogs and cats ran through town, while animal control trucks chased after them. When they saw the chase happening, the humans used their phones to record it. On their way to Randy's house, Winnie, Rose, Jamie, Evan, Joey, Danny, Judy, and Baxter all ran the story by the other dogs and cats, explaining everything to them so they would help. As they spoke while running, the other dogs in town, even the ones with owners heard everything and then joined the pack to help Randy. Winnie, Rose, Jamie, Evan, Joey, Danny, and Judy all saw more dogs joining them and became happy. Danny said, "As Randy said, 'The strength of the wolf is the pack.'" As the dog pack grew, more people recorded and cheered for them.

Once the dogs and cats got to Wolf Manor, they tried to get in, but couldn't reach the door handle. Meanwhile, Eliza hit a ball at Randy's Uncle Max, and he dropped the remote that would start the machine. Randy then picked up the remote and said, "I'd say finders keepers applies here." Merna then took the remote from Randy and said, "Works for us." Merna and Randall then ran off with the remote. Eliza said, "You get the remote, we'll help the werewolves." Randy ran after Merna and Randall while Eliza and Ace helped the werewolves. Eliza started by letting the other dogs and cats inside so they could help. Eliza said, "We might have thought that they were beastly weirdos before. But, they're Randy's family and Randy is our friend."

The dogs started to help the werewolves as Randy ran after his cousins. Randy then kicked Merna, and she dropped the remote, making it slide across the floor to Mrs. Young. Mrs. Young then picked the remote up and wondered what it was. Randy said, "Mrs. Young, don't push that button. Just give me the remote." Mrs. Young held out her hand, and Randy took the remote from her. Randy said, "Thank you." Randall then grabbed the remote and tried to take it from Randy, but Randy wouldn't let go. Randall said, "Give us the remote." Randy said, "Zero chance." Randy then kicked Randall in his shin, and Randall hopped on one foot since it hurt.

Randy ran into the kitchen and his cousins chased after him. Once they got there, they lost Randy. Merna and Randall split up and started looking for him. Randy then peered out of his hiding place and saw Merna's legs by him. Merna then walked away and Randy kicked a food cart at her. When she heard the cart coming, Merna turned around, saw it, and it hit her, knocking her away and against the kitchen wall. Randall then spotted Randy and tried getting the remote from him, but Randy jumped on the counter, grabbed a frying pan, and hit Randall with it. Randy said, "That'll teach you to insult a werewolf on his birthday."

After taking out his cousins, Randy ran out of the kitchen and to the next room. Once Merna and Randall got up, they chased after Randy again and saw that he left the kitchen. Randy then ran upstairs and hurried to the attic. When he arrived, he shut and locked the door so his cousins couldn't follow him. Randy's Uncle Max then came upstairs and saw his kids trying to get into the attic. Merna said, "Daddy, Randy's in the attic and won't let us in." Max said, "Don't worry, kids, I'll take care of it." Max then broke into the attic and searched everywhere for Randy. Max said, "Come out, Rnady. And hand over that remote so I can activate that machine and destroy you and your friends." Max heard a noise coming from behind some boxes, so he looked there but didn't see anyone. Randy said, "Try over here." Randy's Uncle Max looked behind him and saw Randy wave goodbye and jump down a chute. Randy then slid down the chute, and Max slid down after him. Once they reached the bottom, they found themselves in the garage, where they saw all their cars.

Randy ran for his life and hurried behind a door leading to the basement. Once he got inside, he locked the door, but Max broke the door down and chased after Randy. Randy hurried down to the basement, and when he arrived, he saw all the pipes they had installed for the house. Randy hid in the room, and his Uncle Max searched for him because he could smell him inside the room. Max then saw Randy running back upstairs and followed him back to the garage. Randy then grabbed his skateboard and skateboarded out of the garage.

Once Randy got outside, he heard a siren and saw the cops and animal control officers coming. Randy stopped his uncle and said, "Stop." Max said, "What?" Randy pointed at their gates and Max saw the police and animal control officers coming. Randy said, "Excuse me. I'll take care of them and you can't follow me, because they'll arrest you if they see you as a werewolf." Randy put on his silver watch so he wouldn't change. Then Randy ran into the moonlight and locked the gates so nobody could get in. Chief Surly said, "Hey, boy, let us in." Randy said, "I don't know. That seems like a very bad idea." Randy ran off and a herd of dogs ran over his Uncle Max. Randy then took off his watch and attached it to his Uncle Max. Randy said, "Thanks for the gift, but I think it's time you tried it on. Later." Randy ran off after putting the watch on his uncle and the dogs followed him.

Max tried biting the watch off because as long as he was wearing it, he couldn't regain his human form, just like Randy and Rodney couldn't. Even though he was handicapped, Max chased after Randy and the dogs and followed them back inside. The animal control officers and the police officers then climbed and jumped the fence. Once they got over the fence, they hurried to the Wolf Family's mansion and tried opening the doors because they knew the dogs were inside, but the doors were locked.
