Chapter 134 - Freyavellir School of Warlocks, Wizards, and Witches (Part 1)

"Expelliarmus!"

A red bolt of magic zoomed through the air as I tilted my head to the right, dodging the charged blast before lifting my hand in a circular motion and snapping it forwards. 'Reducto ' The thought incantation manifested in a wave of force that washed over my current duelling partner, who failed to summon a Protego...

"Damn!" Harry was flung through the air and almost fell onto the floor until I wordlessly held onto him with the force, the power thrumming through the room as my magic tickled the edges of the esoteric power. He went silent as he cracked open his glassless eyes, his body quickly turning upright, his feet touching the polished floors below as he gazed at me in expectation.

We had been using the hanger bay of the Star Destroyer as a training ground whilst I deliberated the placement of my magical school and the animal preserve. Many of the droids around us were watching, alongside Sirius, Hermione and the Grangers.

"Unfortunate pup! We have to work on your concentration..." Sirius walked up to Harry and ruffled his hair, turning to me and inclining his right eye as I smirked at his nonsense. "Harry has a strong will and concentration, what he lacks is intent." The animagi widened his eyes, facepalming before cursing himself under his breath.

"Why didn't I think of that? Of kids of his age wouldn't know about intent as such!" Hermione immediately concentrated on our little chat as I nodded, turning around and interacting with me system.

'System, I want to purchase a complete understanding of Transfiguration, Potions, Arithmancy, Runes, Astronomy, Rituals, Blood Magic, Dark Magic, Battle Magic, Alchemy, Charms, Wards, Illusions, Herbology, Focus making, Psionics, Rune breaking and Enchanting up to the proficiency of a Warlock in each subject.'

My occlumency shrouded mind quickly processed the information as the space that housed my imagination quickly enlarged to epic proportions. With the new information I understood that this was considered a mind palace, which I could use to store unending information and protect my mind scape with advanced spells.

There was no exterior to the space, so far, but the interior was very much reminiscent of a comfortable wooden cabin. A lovely fireplace crackled as hundreds of bookcases sluggishly filled with the newly purchased information. Unlike normal libraries where one would need to grab a book to read, this space worked off of the intent and will of my very brain to grasp and remember the information.

To test it I tried to think about the dark dimension, hundreds of books flying over to me and splaying themselves open as the 'ink' words slowly ascended from the page and drifted into my forehead. Instantly I began recalling the properties and entities that existed within this realm and what magics could be used whilst channelling even a small fraction of the dimension's concepts.

'Great! This will make things so much easier.' A smile coiled on my face as I turned and clapped my hands, garnering the attention of my young students and their family.

"Okay, have a half hour break and then we'll go to somewhere special that, I hope, will directly challenge Hogwarts' dominance in education for the Commonwealth countries." They all gave me curious stared before I vanished in a rainbow flash of light and slumped into my plush apartment.

'Hehe, time to do some building.'

...

Harry sat next to his godfather whilst his best friend excitedly inferred the meaning of 'intent' within magic, her parents adding some minor anecdotes.

"I think intent implies that spells require emotion or thought behind them. Think about it Harry...! We could have been doing magic incorrectly all of this time simply because no one explained the concept!" He noticed her parents were smiling dotingly at her, his heart aching just a tiny bit as he questioned whether his parents would have looked at him in the same way.

Sirius interrupted that thought process however as the incorrigible flirt leaned over him, a roll of Harry's eyes soon following as the man waggled his eyebrows towards him whilst shooting glances at Hermione. "So you're going for her, huh?" Although he whispered his tone was rather suggestive, the recently freed man finding too much mirth in torturing his blood-adopted godson over his connection to the Grindelwald.

"I- I don't know what you mean... She's a friend, my best friend. What do you mean 'going for her'?" Sirius sighed. "At some point pup, we're going to have the 'talk'..." The Ominous word hung in the air as Hermione finally finished her rant, her eyes gleaming in excitement whilst her parents tried to settle her down by reminding her that Harry was there.

He thought it was a silly thing to remind her of, though it seemed to work as she quickly blushed and sat down into a nearby couch. 'Huh?' His confusion was easily noticed by his companions, though they chose not to expose the poor boy who was still a touch too young to fully get the complexities of teenage hormones.

"Hmmm. Back to Intent... I wonder if I switch to thinking protectively whether it would allow the Protego to form." His words were more a statement than an actual question, his best friend noting this by his tone whilst his godfather just grinned.

Standing up he quickly drew his wand from its newly bought holster on his right hand, the phoenix-core wand lighting within his hand. Sticking his tongue out for a second or two he concentrated on the feelings he had most recently experienced in the Chamber of Secrets. He had stood up to a Basilisk and Voldemort all to protect Ginny Weasley, the young girl having been possessed by the Horcrux of the dark lord.

A yellow colour shimmered at the very zenith of his wand-point as he opened his eyes and roared out the verbal component to the spell he had been trying his hardest to conjure. "PROTEGO! " A ripple within magic tingled through the air before a hazy yellow substance emerged from his wand.

Sirius stood with pride simmering below the surface whilst Hermione gaped openly at her secret crush.

Golden in colouration, a dome extended around him within a five meter radius, the faint breeze from the nearby ventilation systems dying out from within as the shield somewhat quaked at the constant contact with the subtle force of nature. Excitement and shock spread through him before it was quickly cut down by his own Godfather who shot a stunner towards him... Only for it to be absorbed by the shield and dispersed kinetically behind him, as identified by the quick ebb of wind to his rear.

"Awesome pup! You're just as good as Lily!" The comment nearly made him tear up on the spot, but he stifled it back, instead choosing to nod with a huge smile plastered over his features. "I wish I could have met her..." Sirius paled before striding forwards, sweeping him up into a hug.

Clapping echoed from where Freya had disappeared before, embarrassment soaking into him by the second as he realised that his time with the Dursleys had really effected his ability to accept compliments. Not to mention the physical contact with Sirius who was like an uncle to him.

"Wonderful work Harry! Protego is usually reserved for 4th years or 5th years. You should be proud that you can cast it so young." Hermione rushed over and hugged his side whilst he tried to draw himself further into that warm fuzzy feeling that had coagulated within his heart. "T-Thanks..." Freya smiled at him before guiding them away to who-knows-where.

...

"Welcome to Freyavellir!" I gestured to Uluru. They all openly gaped at the sight.

Where once was a platform for the Star Destroyer to simply sit upon there was now a massive magical castle. The term castle seemed almost offensive to the edifice to magic as it glowed spectrally in whites and silvers. Neo-Classical in style, the castle sat upon a raised dais of stone, granite and sandstone. Stained glass windows glittered beautifully in the Australian sunlight, the patterns painting distant spire in blues, greens and reds.

The said dais that the structure sat upon was split in two, winding bridges and pathways connecting the two halves of the greater structure. A clocktower pierced into the sky, its structure consisting of mixed golds and whites. Said tower was amalgamated with a larger more dome-like section with many gothic spires and lovely glass reliefs. Aqueducts surrounded the base of the dais and slowly spiralled into the city proper, merging with newly created gardens around the base of what used to be called Uluru.

"School of Warlocks, Wizards, and Witches!" I finished my spiel whilst Harry, Hermione and the Grangers all recovered from the utterly fantastical sight of a magical building on par with Hogwarts just manifesting out of nowhere.

Sirius was the first to recover and looked at the structure with pure, unadulterated, curiosity. His eyes lingered over the waterfalls that lightly sprinkled down into the basins at the top of the aqueducts, the flow slowly spiralling down until they reached the large elevated gardens.

"That's, crazy... H-how did you do it...?" He looked to me as he asked his question.

"Magic." I said, and he deflated, instantly. All the while Harry beamed. "I love magic!" Harry's words brought everyone out of their dazes and thoughts, their own lips curling up in agreement with the young boy.

With excitement palpitating within my chest I quickly teleported us all to the front gates, the pearly white doors sunken into a large white-marble wall that faintly glowed with maroon runes.

"The castle itself, Freyavellir, has Anti-Apparition wards, Anti-Portkey wards, Anti-Monster Wards, Anti-Abomination Wards, Anti-Dimensional Being Wards and a full array of violent defence measures. The walls are particularly designed to maintain the ritualistic circle for the protective dome, the walls themselves are reinforced to defend against nuclear blasts and other mass-destruction-level weapons." Sirius whistled as I raised my hand and shot a beam of bright yellow-gold light into a large ruby gem on the gates' portcullis and doors.

"Freyavellir itself was designed to be a place for the learning of all magic, unrestricted. Each school of magic will be taught here and delved." Sirius immediately became weary before I patted him on the shoulder. "Meaning... That Necromancy and such will be learnt but not practiced. A learning institute's purpose is to allow young minds to explore what interests them, showing the dangers, the risks and of course the nature of what they explore. Necromancy in specific will be a purely theoretical class."

Hermione and Sirius wiped their foreheads before the latter broke out in a fit of giggles due to the nature of their synchronisation.

"Anyhow... The school itself can house up to 5,000 students maximum and has multiple dimensional classrooms to aid in specific topics and dangers that could arise due to those thaumaturges."

"5000!? Damn! Hogwarts only has a little under 700." The Grangers were blinking like a dear in headlights, most of the information going over their heads. This didn't stop the father speaking up as he grasped my attention.

"What about foreign students? Would they, well, be isolated from their parents during the summer months or winter months?" Matching his gaze I could tell that he was considering moving Hermione to the school, if it gave her better chances of making something of herself.

"Isolated? Never. The school comes equipped with a state of the art portkey station that connects to all of Europe/Scandinavia, MACUSA or North America as you know it, Russia, China, Japan, India and Brazil. Besides that there is also the fact that the school has the capability, through one of its rooms, to access any doorway that the user knows and step through." They all stopped and stared at me as we began ascending an internal staircase that lead upwards.

"What?" My tone was innocent, though I felt like grinning like a madman... It was really fun messing with their understanding of reality.

"That is insane! The mere idea of it, the scope, the power, it would revolutionise the entire Wizarding World!" Hermione nodded behind Sirius who was shouting now, in abject horror and amazement.

"Eh, it is adequate. I prefer my version of travel since It can allow me to traverse to different planets and solar systems should I wish."

"Fuck off... You're lying..."

I scoffed. "I will not fuck off, plus, you haven't even seen Asgard yet. Puts this place to shame in some ways..."
