Chapter 26 - Capítulo 26 - Epilogue

A century later.

One hundred years passed like leaves carried by the wind, dissolving into the relentless flow of time.

What was once new became old, what was grand turned to ruins, and memories that were once vivid now rest in the dust of oblivion.

Generations were born and died, witnessing the rising and setting of countless suns.

The world changed – cities rose and fell, ideals were renewed, and what seemed immutable yielded to the weight of centuries.

In the silence of time, only history remains, carved in the marks humanity left behind.

After more than a century, Adam had changed.

He reflected on this as he walked through Pandora's domain in the [Netherworld]. The familiar gray, mist-filled space was a sight that seemed natural to him after so many years visiting this place.

Despite more than a century having passed since he set foot in this world, his appearance remained that of a young man in the prime of his youth. His black hair was still impeccable, his vibrant blue eyes, like sapphires, shimmered with a sharp glint. But there was something different. His features were more mature. His gaze carried the weight of countless experiences, and his presence was now immeasurable, almost suffocating.

He was no longer just a Campione.

He was the Absolute King of this world.

He became the perfect king.

Not a fairytale king, but an absolute monarch, a titan whose will shaped reality. He built an empire where utopia was not a dream, but an imposed rule. Under his shadow, hunger ceased to exist, suffering was eradicated, and happiness became an inalienable right. Once again, he did the impossible.

But utopias demand sacrifices.

In the dark alleys of the world he built, the truth whispered another story. A butcher of races, a relentless force that erased those who threatened his vision of perfection. The black hand that governed balance, cleaning up mistakes before they became problems. He didn't just rule—he controlled, decided, shaped the fate of entire civilizations without ever allowing chaos to touch his creation again.

To the people, he was a benevolent god. To his enemies, a faceless nightmare, a phantom that eliminated impurities without hesitation.

He sighed, his fingers running absently through his hair as he looked at the horizon.

How did it all begin?

Ah, yes. He remembered well.

The illness that consumed him in his old life, the disease that took everything from him, the weak body in a hospital bed, slowly rotting, until death finally claimed him. Luckily, he ended up being reborn in this world, and in a foolish act ended up killing two [Heretic Gods], becoming a Campione through this feat.

That was how his legend began.

Being a King was a drastic change. At first, he was just a young man with no experience trying to do what was right and having the power to back him up, but time and challenges shaped him until he became legitimate.

When he learned that he was in the world of Campione!, a manga he had read in his past life, he was aware that the [King of the End] would awaken one day and kill all the Campiones, including him, which he didn't want to happen. He didn't want to die. Not after winning the cosmic lottery and obtaining such a wonderful life.

The fear of death was his greatest fuel.

The only solution? Get stronger.

He usurped the power of the [Heretic Gods]. He killed Campiones to usurp their Authorities, and for this, he created the [Circle of Usurpation] through his [Forge of the Dwarves]. An artifact that allowed him to extract Authorities from his brothers and sisters, something that completely changed his plans and made everything easier, including the idea of killing the other Godslayers. If before he only had the motivation to prevent the [King of the End] from awakening, with this, he had the motive to kill them for their Authorities.

Every victory, every death, every battle made him even more fearsome.

His deeds spread like a devastating storm.

He captured the [Holy Grail of Magic] and imprisoned Lancelot, the two pieces that would help in Rama's awakening; without them, it would be delayed.

But he didn't stop there.

He killed all the Campiones except for Luo Hao, the only one he considered worthy of living. And more than that, she became his wife.

Over the years, [Heretic Gods] continued to emerge, and he got rid of all of them.

After he killed the last Campione, Madame Aisha, he killed Athena and Circe, two [Heretic Goddesses] who came after him. One came after an item he possessed, and the other came to make him her consort. He undid Sun Wukong's seal and let Luo Hao fight him, unified the entire magical Asian continent with the European one, and greatly expanded his territory, becoming the legitimate King of the world.

He killed Hanuman, the guardian of Rama's seal, the [King of the End], and before he could awaken, he went after the Goddess of Fate. With the help of Pandora, who revealed her location and lent him the [Circle of Usurpation] upon learning of his plans, he immediately departed and killed the Goddess.

The confrontation was epic, a battle that destroyed the infinite room where the Goddess resided. But in the end, he won.

He usurped the authority of the [Goddess of Fate] and with that obtained the power he desired to deal with the [King of the End], removing his fate and giving it to himself, gaining the powers of the [King of the End] through this, and freeing Rama from the fate of the [Hero Slayer of Demon Kings].

With this, he became absolute.

But that wasn't all.

Throughout the hundred years, Adam didn't limit himself to his world. He traveled through alternate realities using his Authority of the [Fairy Corridor]. He visited mythological worlds. Killed [Heretic Gods] in other universes. He avoided the obvious pantheons like Greek and Norse, focusing on unknown and forgotten realms.

He eliminated alternate versions of Voban and Alec — simply because he didn't like them.

Due to his control over the [Fairy Corridor] authority, there were no [Spatial Distortions] or any threat of a Multiversal calamity, and yet he was still targeted by the Sun God, Mithras, and Zurvan, whom he ended up killing after an intense battle. Having his Authorities as a Campione and his powers of the [King of the End], he managed to kill them.

At some point during these hundred years, he also went to Hyperborea, which was a place always illuminated by daylight and that appeared briefly in Greek mythology.

In fact, Hyperborea was not a simple location within the multiverse. It was the "original mythological world," an extraordinarily unique universe where legends and divine beings were born and began to weave their destinies. It was the cradle of all mythologies that would arise: Greek, Indian, Persian, Norse, Celtic, and the legends of all cultures of Europe and Asia.

That place was the pinnacle of his journey; he literally destroyed everyone who stood in his way. Creating a throne of rivers of blood to sit atop all of existence, he was a Godslayer who literally transcended his species throughout the Multiverse.

One hundred years had passed.

It wasn't just battles.

He lived.

He slept with several women throughout his travels, enjoyed the luxury and pleasure that only someone in his position could have. The world—no, the Multiverse itself—bowed before him. Kings feared him, [Heretic Gods] whispered his name frequently, knowing it was impossible to defeat him. He did the impossible countless times until the impossible became trivial.

But now… now, standing in the Netherworld, he felt something different.

A strange emptiness.

He had achieved everything. There was no one stronger than him. No challenge worthy of him. No war worthy of his name.

What was left for a King who had already conquered everything?

His four wives and lovers had achieved longevity through one of his Authorities, so he could go home and enjoy life with them forever — a slight smile appeared on his lips when he thought of them.

Lavinia, Luo Hao, Lancelot, Erica.

His wives. The women who had been by his side throughout this journey.

Each of them different, unique, special. Each one marked his life in a way no other could.

Lavinia, his first companion, his confidante. She was always there, growing alongside him, becoming the strongest witch in the world. Luo Hao, his rival, his queen, the woman who shared his thirst for power and who became a part of his existence. Lancelot, the indomitable warrior, his goddess of steel, the loyal protector who would never abandon him. And Erica, his fearless knight, the one who arrived later, but who conquered his heart with her devotion and passion.

They were magical years alongside them.

So many memories, so many unforgettable nights, so many laughs, challenges, victories, and moments of pure happiness.

He may have reached the pinnacle, may have become absolute, but in the end, it was they who made this life truly valuable.

It was the luxury and life he never had in his past life that made all of this wonderful.

Lost in thought, he almost didn't notice that he had walked through Pandora's domain for several moments until she finally appeared.

It was then that the familiar presence entered the scene. A subtle but immediate touch that broke the stillness of that world. Pandora appeared before him; she watched him with a mixture of affection and respect, like a mother who had seen her son become something extraordinary, but also something a bit distant from what she could have predicted.

"It seems my favorite son has finally come to visit!" Pandora smiled cheerfully, before asking in a voice laden with emotion, "Are you here to say goodbye again?"

She knew, somewhere inside, that this moment had arrived. Adam, the most powerful of her children, now transcended everything she had created. He had moved away from what had once been his origin, but he was still, in essence, her creation.

Adam looked up at her, and a slight smile appeared on his lips. He nodded, his expression impassive, but with a touch of nostalgia. "Yes. I'm here to say goodbye."

There was something comforting and sad in the tone of his voice, a sense of closure that hung in the air.

"I'm not going to another parallel universe," he continued, as if wanting to clarify one last time. "I'm going to a whole new world."

Pandora commented with an amused smile, her voice laden with that enigmatic tone that always accompanied her:

"Beyond our world, there are other gods… and other versions of me. There are even other Godslayers scattered across the vastness of the cosmos."

Her eyes twinkled with a mixture of fascination and mischief. It was almost comical to think that somewhere beyond the reality they knew, more warriors like Adam walked, challenging the very pillars of existence.

"It seems terrifying for the universe that there are more Campiones," she murmured, as if pondering the consequences of this fact.

Then, she shrugged and let out a crystalline laugh, laden with malice and a touch of irony.

"Well, there are times when it would be better if you all didn't exist."

Her laughter echoed, but there was no malice in it—just an amused acceptance of the chaotic reality she helped create.

""But, who cares?"" Pandora continued, shaking her head, "All of you are humans beyond limits, those who have achieved the absurdity of killing a God. Even though you all act a bit… no, even if you all act terribly barbarically and make absurd messes repeatedly, as your mother, I will forgive you."

There was genuine sweetness in her words, something deeply maternal. She saw them as children—troublesome, dangerous, but still her children.

It was a statement that really wasn't appropriate for a goddess to make, but Pandora never cared about what was appropriate. Her smile continued radiant, laden with sincere joy.

"Even after I made all the preparations," she murmured, looking away for a moment, as if recalling a distant past, "I thought there wouldn't be a mortal human capable of achieving the great feat of killing a God. That all my efforts would have been in vain—"

She hesitated.

Silence.

And then, Pandora smiled again, her eyes filled with pride and affection.

"But, you all splendidly came to be."

Her voice was soft, almost reverent.

"Even after that, more and more Godslayers were born in succession. Even if humans and the other gods don't approve of them, I decided to favor and care for you with all my being…"

She looked directly at Adam, her grandest son, the one who had surpassed all the limits imposed by existence.

"Adam, you have reached the pinnacle, walked throughout the cosmos, and become absolute. And yet, your journey doesn't end."

She approached, almost as if she wanted to touch his face, but stopped midway through the gesture, just watching him tenderly.

"Although I don't know what awaits you beyond our multiverse, I know…" Her voice softened, filled with unshakeable certainty, "That you will have a splendid adventure."

And in that moment, Pandora wasn't just speaking as a goddess. She spoke as a mother saying goodbye to her son, knowing that he was destined for something much greater than anyone could imagine.

Adam remained silent as he listened to Pandora's words.

There was a strange warmth in them, a kind of affection he rarely encountered. A mother forgiving her troublesome children, even if those children were godslayers, even if their actions had shaken the foundations of the cosmos countless times.

He knew Pandora wasn't an ordinary goddess. She didn't care about dogma; she didn't follow the principles of the other gods who saw the Campiones as aberrations. She saw them as miracles. As something that shouldn't exist… but that, nevertheless, did exist.

And now, there he was, the most absolute of all.

He looked at Pandora, the woman who, in a way, could be considered his mother, and a rare smile appeared on his lips. It wasn't a smile of triumph, nor of arrogance, but of something close to gratitude… though he would never admit it aloud.

"Heh… a splendid adventure, huh? Beautiful words, mother." He murmured, as if savoring the words. With a slight smile, he walked in the opposite direction of Pandora.

A faint smile appeared on his lips as he thought of the farewell he had with Lavinia, Luo Hao, Lancelot, and Erica. He didn't want to bring any of them because he simply didn't know what his fate would be upon leaving the world of [Campione!].

His world would not be in danger either; he had Luo Hao and even Lancelot with the support of Guinevere's [Holy Grail of Magic], who after decades was serving him faithfully due to one of his special Authorities to "create" loyal subjects. Through the magical energy of this item, Lancelot could be restored to her prime to fight. He had also crafted a myriad of divine-level items and grimoires through his authority of the [Forge of the Dwarves], which ensured that those unable to fight against [Heretic Gods], like Erica and Lavinia, would be able to protect themselves from them.

Everything was ready. Nothing was left to chance.

The farewell with Pandora was the last piece of this cycle.

Now, he just needed to take the next step.

Adam raised his hand, and with a simple thought, the reality around him distorted. Space collapsed in on itself, and a black spiral opened right before him, spinning with overwhelming force. It wasn't just a portal. It was a tear in existence.

Without hesitation, he stepped forward.

In the next instant, everything around him disappeared.

Now, he floated in a dimension of absolute darkness. The void was endless but punctuated by countless scattered lights in the distance, like stars in an endless sky. Each one was a portal—a door to a world, a time, a reality.

He didn't stop to admire it. Moving with all his speed, Adam crossed that space in an instant, the points twinkling around him as he ascended toward the "ceiling" of that dimension. And as he ascended, memories began to flash in his mind.

He saw himself as a helpless orphan, trapped in a hospital bed, staring at the white, sterile ceiling, with no dreams, no future.

He saw the moment he was reborn as Adam, the Perfect King, and walked a path no other before him had dared to tread.

He saw battles, loves, conquests, and farewells. He saw everything.

And, for the first time in a long time, a genuine smile appeared on his lips.

Because this wasn't the conclusion of his story.

It was just the beginning of a new one.
