Chapter 245 - Chapter 245: The Gravity Room

Based on the current conclusions, in order for ki to break free from the body's restrictions and shift from being indirectly trained to directly trained, it needs to reach a strength of at least 300.

And most martial artists on Earth... will never reach a battle power of 200 in their entire lives.

King Demon Piccolo, with a battle power of just over 200, almost swept the entire Earth. Even the Turtle Hermit, who had seen him years ago, never considered defeating him head-on. This shows that, looking at the entire planet, even over the span of Master Roshi's hundreds of years, there hasn't been a martial artist with a battle power exceeding 200 on Earth. Let alone someone surpassing 300, reaching a level where they can unleash their inner ki and enter the phase of rapidly increasing power.

Yamiru never thought of himself as superior to Master Roshi, or any of the Earth's martial artists over the past centuries, so after reaching this conclusion with Bardock, he inevitably felt a bit down.

The Earthlings' limit is below 200?

But in reality, to truly break through, to reach the limit of rapid growth, it would be above 300, maybe even 500?

Yamiru, with his current ki of 140, already finds his progress extremely slow. He can feel it; he's more like the Turtle Hermit's type than Krillin or Tien's. He definitely isn't like Goku or the Saiyans. His power ceiling, at best, might be just a little better than Master Roshi's? After that, retirement and relaxation might be on the horizon.

Actually, it's not impossible.

After the clear path was laid out by Bardock, Yamiru had already mentally prepared himself for Bardock's rapid power growth and the eventual transformation into a Super Saiyan.

In less than half a year in the Room of Spirit and Time, Son Gohan became a Super Saiyan, and in under a year, he surpassed Goku to reach full Super Saiyan power. This shows that after receiving proper guidance, the potential for a talented Saiyan's growth is limitless. The bigger their heart, the greater their power. And if they feel like it, they can assemble a Super Saiyan God and defeat the entire galaxy in no time... What can you do about it? That's just the way their genes are set up.

Perhaps, as Shenron said... what's the difference between 2 million and 20 million? For a Saiyan, who has a broad vision and an open mind, it seems that there really isn't a difference.

If Yamiru were a Saiyan, he's not sure how many ways he could quickly and smoothly increase his power to 2 million, or even 20 million. Whether through cloning, brainwashing, or breeding Saiyan warriors, assembling five other decent Saiyans to become a Super Saiyan God would be a natural outcome.

But unfortunately, he isn't a Saiyan.

He's a human.

A human whose limit is below 200... on Earth.

Yamiru breathed slightly heavier; his strength hadn't recovered yet. But next to him, Goku was doing much better, energetically jumping in front of Bardock to spar again.

Bardock was clearly at ease, using just enough force to avoid killing Goku. It was clear that his training in mastering his power—or his ki—had helped him control his strength. Sparring with Goku, someone with a relatively low battle power, was also a way for Bardock to improve his control over his ki.

Both father and son were enjoying themselves.

Yamiru, however, lay on the ground helplessly, staring at the blue sky and white clouds. He smiled.

It was something he had already predicted, wasn't it?

"What are you thinking about?"

Tights's face suddenly appeared, blocking Yamiru's view of the sky.

"I was thinking..." Yamiru's thoughts hadn't fully returned, and as he spoke, he trailed off. He seemed distracted. Soon, Tights playfully scratched him with her hair, and Yamiru smiled, softly saying, "I was thinking..."

Instead of saying the rest out loud, he used telepathy to transmit it directly into Tights's mind: ...I want it.

Tights thought Yamiru was using his Golden Veil, so she didn't pay much attention. She glanced around, seeing that Son Gohan had walked over to where Gine and her mother were having tea and resting. Goku and Bardock were in a full-on battle, and Bulma and her father were still in the lab working on the gravity room.

Tights pulled him up. "Let's go, to my room."

Yamiru got up, joking, "I think it would be more fun outdoors, haven't tried that yet."

"Stop messing around, I meant you need to go to my room to shower." Tights pushed him along, kicking his backside. "Stop being ridiculous! Hurry up."

Yamiru walked backward, making a face and teasing her. "Aww, are you shy~?"

"You say that again?" Tights pointed at him. She couldn't help but laugh, clearly amused. "Stop it! Stop right there!"

Yamiru didn't pay her any mind, running off swiftly, while Tights laughed and scolded as she chased after him...

"They really have a good relationship!"

On the garden path, Gine took a sip of the red tea that Mrs. Brief had brewed by hand, watching Yamiru and Tights playfully leaving. She couldn't help but sigh.

Mrs. Brief covered her mouth and laughed, "Hehe, it feels like we'll have a little one to play with soon!"

Gohan shook his head with a smile and continued sipping his tea.

Meanwhile, in Tights's bathroom, a man and woman were fighting under the water.

The misty glass door, blurred by the steam, suddenly reflected a vague shadow. It seemed like a woman, arms raised, her beautiful body pressed against the door.

The glass door made a rattling sound.

In the steamy haze, shadows flickered. After a long time… Yamiru, holding Tights, was soaking in the large bathtub together.

"It's wonderful, Yamiru."

"You're amazing too, you're perfect." Yamiru hugged her tightly, the feeling of their skin against each other was comfortable. He kissed the hot tip of Tights's ear. "I love you, Tights."

"I love you too…"

The sound of water splashing as Tights turned her body, climbing on top of Yamiru, wrapping her arms around his neck, counting his eyelashes and studying his eyes.

"I used to think walking down this path was meaningless…" Yamiru let her play with him, and suddenly spoke to himself, "…It was almost inevitable. I couldn't reach the position I desired, the height I longed for."

"Mm-hmm?" Tights made a humming sound, not replying. She knew Yamiru just wanted to vent, not discuss.

"Goku will most likely become a Super Saiyan… 2 million is just the starting point. Shenrong said a Super Saiyan can increase their combat power by 50 times, so that's the level of hundreds of millions…" Yamiru leaned against the bathtub, his hand naturally stroking Tights's back, "I worked hard from 10 to 100, even to 200, what does it really matter… '2 million, 20 million… what's the difference? Is the strength difference really in this?'"

He muttered Shenrong's words, always feeling that some of Shenrong's words were meant for him.

"2 million, 20 million… the difference in strength… 10, 100, 200… 200, 20 million…"

Yamiru couldn't make sense of it. He thought maybe it was just common sense—2 million, 20 million, that's a 10-fold difference! If the difference in strength isn't in that, then where the hell is it? The more he thought about it, the more it seemed absurd to him. This might just be the effect of "common sense awareness"...

"This lady, I'm almost done now, but I advise you not to play with fire, okay?"

"Hehe… don't you have the Senzu Beans?"

"if Korin knows you'll make him cry if you use his Senzu Beans like this..."

"Well, you're the one who gave them to me in the first place!"

"Did I?"

"Didn't you? Well, let me see if there are any left..."

"Wait, using your mouth is cheating…"

---

The Gravity Room was finally completed.

Everyone gathered at the entrance to the gravity chamber, specially designed by Dr. Brief and his daughter for training.

"Considering you're staying at Mount Paozu, Bardock, I made the gravity chamber capsule-style." Dr. Brief, relaxing with a cigarette, laughed. "Once it's a capsule, you can carry it with you."

Bardock expressed his gratitude, this was very helpful.

Bulma continued, "For the gravity multiplier, using Earth's gravity as the base, the minimum is 1x, and the maximum is 500x. After all, the combat power required to transform into a Super Saiyan, as Shenrong said, is 2 million, so I made the upper limit a little higher... but you don't have to turn it up that high if you don't need it."

"500 times!?" Tights gasped. She felt that even 2 times Earth gravity would be hard for her to handle. I wonder how many times Yamiru can withstand...

"Can I use it too?" Goku asked curiously.

"Goku was born on Planet Vegeta, where the gravity is 10 times that of Earth," Gine said. "His body should be able to adapt to 10 times gravity, though it might be a bit difficult at first."

Gohan nodded slightly.

Even though Goku's battle power was only 2 when he was born, that was just the energy strength measured by the scouter. Saiyans' natural physical strength far exceeds that of Earthlings. With the same battle power of 10, neither Gohan nor Yamiru could do what Goku could, like resisting bullets or getting hit by axes with just his body...

The Saiyan body of Goku was naturally able to adapt to 10 times gravity, which had nothing to do with battle power; it was purely about physical structure.

Bardock said, "However, even if you adapt quickly to 10 times gravity, the benefits for Kakarot might not be that much. For a Saiyan to see significant training effects, the gravity should be adjusted to over 10 times... but with Kakarot's current battle power, it's still too much for him."

Gohan also said, "Bardock, you should probably just set it to over 20 times, right? Goku following along will only slow you down."

This was inevitable, and it was obvious.

In the comics, when was it that Krillin stopped training with Goku? It was simply because their training speeds and progress were no longer on the same level. There was no point in forcing each other.

Goku, however, didn't mind and laughed, "Well, nothing we can do about it, it's fine!"

"I'll make time every day to practice with Kakarot," Bardock said. "This is also a form of training for me."

Training to control his own power… Gohan pondered thoughtfully.

Tights, hugging Gine's arm, smiled and asked, "What about Aunt Gine? Will you train with Uncle Bardock?"

Gine shook her head and said, "I don't like tough environments. I probably won't train with Bardock..."

Bardock also said, "Gine isn't a fighter, so there's no need to force her."

"Aiya, you two really have a good relationship~" Mrs. Brief said with a smile, bringing a tray of snacks from the robot servant. "Well, before training, let's rest a bit."

Bardock didn't react much to Mrs. Brief's words, but Gine blushed a little.

Tights, grinning, leaned toward Gine's ear and whispered. Gine, blushing, muttered to herself, "I can't force it, things like this should happen naturally…"

Mrs. Brief sipped her tea, "Some people don't want children right now, but enjoy pushing others to have them~"

"Mom!" Tights made a face in displeasure.

Bardock suddenly realized what they were talking about, and Gine shyly hid behind him.

Gohan and Dr. Brief were amused, Bulma didn't find it funny, Goku was indifferent, and Yamiru just raised his hand to show it wasn't his business...
