Watching Mike's back as he walked away, Coulson rubbed his head.

Coulson: "…"

Is he being ignored?

But then again, Coulson was staying in this hotel as well, so maybe there was a chance to run into his lucky star, Mike.

Now, it was time for him to get to work.

He had come here to recruit new members for his director.

He had heard that his targets were currently active in this area.

Meanwhile, Mike had already taken Gwen to their pre-booked suite at the hotel.

After unpacking, he let the sleepy Gwen take a nap. When evening came, he woke her up, and the two of them, refreshed and energized, left the hotel.

Though they couldn't visit tourist attractions at night, there were still plenty of activities they could enjoy. As soon as they stepped out of the hotel, father and daughter headed straight for a Pirate-themed Caribbean restaurant.

During their five-day stay, they planned to dine at a different restaurant each day.

The restaurant was filled with pirate-themed elements. The waitstaff wore pirate costumes to take and serve orders, complete with decorative knives at their belts.

Seeing how curious Gwen was, the restaurant manager even gave her a pirate hat and a knife. After Gwen donned the outfit, the father and daughter took a photo together.

After thanking the staff, Mike and Gwen filled their stomachs and left the restaurant.

"What do you think?" Mike asked, looking at Gwen.

Gwen pulled out a small notebook from her bag, writing and drawing while responding, "It's okay. The taste is average, but the service was pretty good."

Mike was a bit surprised. He had thought Gwen would praise the service more.

"What are you writing?"

Noticing that Gwen was still writing something seriously, Mike leaned in to take a look, then paused in surprise.

It turned out that Gwen was rating the restaurant, listing pros and cons.

"Finished!" Gwen put the pen back in her bag and waved the little notebook at Mike, showing him the cover.

Miami Guide.

This little one is even writing these things.

Mike rubbed Gwen's head, glanced at the time, and said, "Let's go, let's enjoy the night view here."

"Okay!" Gwen put the notebook away and looked at him with some excitement. "Daddy, should we go to a bar? I heard there are a lot of fun bars on the beach."

"Can you even get in?"

"Good point." Gwen tapped her chin and said, "Maybe we can check them out, right?"

"Well, let's go."

Mike took Gwen's hand, hailed a taxi, and they quickly left.

Half an hour later, Gwen was pulling Mike along as they strolled on the beach, glancing at the bars on one side and the bikini-clad women on the sand on the other, seemingly looking for something, clearly very busy.

"Daddy, Daddy!"

Suddenly, Gwen tugged at Mike. "Look, how about that lady?"

"That one?"

"The one with the golden hair."

"She's fine, I guess."

"Should I help you get her number?"

Gwen had a playful look on her face, eager to assist.

"No need! Stay in your lane, little girl!"

Mike couldn't help but lightly tap Gwen on the head with his fingers.

Gwen covered her head, pouting and looking up at Mike with a sad expression.

Mike chuckled, pinching Gwen's cheek affectionately. "How about that young man over there? Want me to get his number for you?"

Gwen: "…"

She shook her head furiously.

"When I grow up, I'll do it myself!"

"That's only after I give you permission."

Mike said, his tone calm.

Gwen giggled, "That's so far away! I'm still in elementary school!"

Just then, a woman with a smoking-hot figure and sun-kissed skin glanced in Mike's direction. As her eyes casually swept over Mike and Gwen, a look of surprise flashed across her face.

"Is that... Mike?"

She muttered softly before quickly turning her head. Seeing the familiar figure, a look of surprise flashed in her eyes. She tilted her head with a mischievous smile and walked over confidently.

As she swayed her hips towards Mike, her foot suddenly twisted.

"Ah!"

She gasped, stumbling and falling into Mike.

Mike hesitated for only 0.01 seconds before swiftly pulling Gwen aside to avoid her.

"Bang!"

The woman's shocked expression was almost tangible, and she landed face-first on the sand.

Watching the scene unfold, Gwen froze, her eyes wide with confusion. She turned to Mike and asked stiffly, "Dad, why didn't you catch that lady?"

Mike frowned and replied, "The ground's sandy, she won't get hurt. But if she falls on me, what if she tries to scam me?"

Gwen thought for a moment, then nodded thoughtfully. "That's true."

Hearing their conversation, the woman angrily slapped the sand away and pushed herself up, glaring at Mike. "Mike!"

A smile quickly disappeared from Mike's face. He took a step back and said, "See? I told you she'd try to scam me. She even investigated my name."

Gwen, wary of the woman, whispered, "Should we call the police?"

"Enough of that! Help me up, Mike!"

Seeing Mike's reaction, Raven realized that he had recognized her.

"Ha!" Mike chuckled and nodded at Raven. "What are you doing here?"

He walked over and helped her up.

Raven huffed lightly, muttering, "I'll remember this."

Mike rolled his eyes and replied, "Such a petty person."

Gwen watched the exchange between the two, her large eyes filled with confusion.

Mike smiled and explained, "Aunt Raven and I are old friends."

"So you were joking around?" Gwen asked in surprise, looking at Raven and giggling. "Auntie, that joke was amazing!"

"Heh... Heh heh!"

Raven awkwardly forced a smile. "This is..."

"My daughter, Gwen."

"Daughter?" Raven asked in surprise, looking at Gwen. Her heart suddenly felt a pang. "You're married?"

"No," Mike said, gently ruffling Gwen's hair. "Gwen is my adopted daughter."

Raven secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

"How about you? What are you doing here?"

Mike asked again, as he hadn't seen Raven in a long time.

Raven spoke quietly, "I'm looking for a missing girl."

"When did you become a detective?"

"Life's demands," Raven replied with a smile, casually hooking her arm through Mike's.

Ever since she left the Hellfire Club and went independent, Raven's business had expanded greatly. She worked as a corporate spy, a private detective, and occasionally did some modeling. Life was treating her well.

"Want to grab a drink?"

Raven asked, her eyes sparkling.

Mike pointed at Gwen and shrugged.

Gwen blinked and said, "How about we go back to the hotel? Dad's cooking is really good, and there's a kitchen in the room."

Raven paused for a moment before squatting down and gently pinching Gwen's soft cheek. She smiled at her and said, "You're so well-behaved! Auntie really likes you!"

Mike's kids—how come they're all so mature!
