December 23, 1995, 19:00 (7pm), CTCRM. The Commander's phone was ringing. "Midshipman Stefanovich, Good Evening. What can I help you with?" he asked into the phone. He listened to the Midshipman's answer, then said "Put her through. Hello Madam Bones. My wife is going to get jealous of you – you have called me twice at work in as many days. How may I help you?" he asked. "Commander. I urgently need to get a hold of Hermione Granger, her family, and your Midshipman Evan Fenix." She exclaimed. "What is the urgency and nature of this communication, Madam Bones?" he asked. "This relates in a way to your warning from earlier today. In fact, that was the second thing I needed to talk to you about, but it all ties into Miss Granger. The Minister of Magic has gone off his rocker. He feels the death of the 25 Death Eaters today is a proclamation of war against Wizards. They want to make an example of the Granger Family in response. By that I mean the Aurors have been instructed to capture the family, attack with extreme prejudice any responders, and toss them all into Azkaban Prison. Midshipman Fenix has a kiss on sight order put on him. Can you help me warn them?" Madam Bones asked. "Yes Madam Bones. Please do not hang up the phone – I will be contacting the Midshipman immediately, and then we can continue to talk. One moment – do not hang up." He said. The Commander then put her on hold, and told the secretary to call Midshipman Fenix immediately. "We don't have a phone for him, sir" he said. At that very moment, a large white owl pecked on the window. The Commander remembered when Evan said a white owl kept showing up. "Do you know where Midshipman Fenix is?" he asked the owl. The owl bobbed its head and looked at the desk where paper and a pen lay. Then it looked back at the Commander, as if saying 'Get on with it already!' The Commander quickly wrote the note and gave it to the owl. It turned around, leapt out of the window and was gone in just a few seconds. The Commander returned to the call with Madam Bones.
"Madam Bones. I am in the process of getting the Midshipman. What exactly did the Minister say when you passed on our warning? What did the Wizengamont say?" "That's just it, Commander. They did not take it as a warning. In fact, they refused to acknowledge it. When I tried to respond in the Wizengamont, I was totally ignored. I fear they may plan something very, very stupid and dangerous." She replied.
Just then, the other line on the phone rang. "Hold on, Madam Bones – do not hang up.", then he answered the phone. "Midshipman Fenix. I see you got my message. Nice owl, by the way. And quick! Where are you right now?" he asked. "I am having dinner with Hermione and her family. Why, may I ask, sir?" Evan replied. "Madam Bones just called. In fact she is still on the line with me. The Ministry apparently wants to make an example of Miss Granger and family, as being complicit in the murder of the 20 Death Eaters. You are being accused of the murder. Apparently the Ministry has put out a kiss-on-sight order for you, and a direct pass to Azkaban for Miss Granger and her parents. I do not know where you are. Is there any way you can get them to safety?" the Commander asked. "Sir, we are currently at a location that cannot be found or scried for, according to Hermione. That being said, I will harden the defenses. It'll give me more chance to use what I leaned in Individual Skills, sir. May Irecommend to send a Recon & Recording team to Hermione's address – I would further recommend they do NOT engage the magicals. Just record what you can from the property and protect the neighbors.
