"EJ," I heard someone call after me as I went through the car key cupboard trying to figure out which car I could steal from Pa today.
For a moment I hoped I was hearing things but that was until I smelt the expensive cologne.
"No I'm not talking to you," I turned around and gave Demyan the dirtiest glare I could muster under the sun.
"Mate-"
"You don't kick your mates!" I yelled, "could have ruined my entire rugby season you know! If I lose the World Cup next year it's your fault. Not anyone else's."
He frowned then ran his hand over his short hair. It was evident he missed his long locs. He deserved it. "I'm sorry but you called me a twink."
I pursed my lips then grabbed one of the spare Range Rover Velar keys. "You only lose your shit when Ethan is mentioned. The rest of us can fuck off."
