Cedric didn't feel like going to the banquet again. Either way, it was just going to be a boring party with nobles flattering each other.
"It is too late, I have already gone through the dress-up. Let's get going, they are awaiting our presence." Abrielle scoffed. He was the one who insisted that they attend the banquet.
Abrielle shrugged him off. She elegantly walked away heading to the carriage. Her footsteps filled with grace, but to Cedric, it felt like she was just taunting him.
Cedric followed behind his wife, leaving Elias and Evelyn, who were dressed up for the party. There was this awkward silence at first between Elias and Evelyn.
She was a bit surprised by how good Elias looked outside of his uniform. He did have good genes coming from his noble family, genes she wasn't lacking herself.
