"It saves me time to search for you," Cedric answered. He was able to track Abrielle after his encounter with Azrael. Azrael said he knew where she was, and it was true he could sense her, but it was shrouded by another power.
He guessed it was a witch manipulation to make it hard for the slaves to be tracked. The mark was mysterious it made him feel her emotions and pain at times. It was a link between them he didn't want to sever.
Cedric was able to overcome the obstacles by accepting himself completely.
