Chapter 217 - Chapter 216: Bullying The Dragon? (7)

The sheer, primal oppression exuded by such a monstrous presence was enough to shatter the warhorses' nerves. Expecting them to charge forward was futile—

Wouldn't that be like sheep walking willingly into a tiger's jaws?

"It's just a few cavalrymen. Gnar, handle them. Shyvana, continue leading our forces from the sky into the Ares familia's camp," Riveria commanded swiftly.

Shyvana nodded, gliding closer to Gnar as the heroes riding on his back quickly transferred onto hers.

With a powerful beat of her wings, a sudden gust of wind lifted clouds of dust into the sky.

Then, as she ceased holding back her speed, a massive shadow streaked across the battlefield, soaring over the heads of the advancing soldiers.

The cavalry, who had charged forward with the resolve to die for their cause, could only watch in despair as their enemy took to the skies.

But their efforts were not entirely in vain.

Gnar had already taken advantage of their approach, closing the distance in mere moments.

A fist, several times larger than a human, swung high into the air before crashing down with a deafening roar.

The earth trembled violently.

The panicked warhorses instinctively reared up on their hind legs, their hooves thrashing wildly as they attempted to flee.

For the cavalrymen, this was a disaster.

Struggling to maintain their balance, they fought against their own mounts, but the terrified horses refused to comply.

Several unfortunate riders were thrown from their saddles.

And in the chaos of the stampede, those who hit the ground had no chance—trampled beneath the hooves of their own comrades' panicked steeds.

"Hold steady! Control your damn horses!"

The commander's voice was hoarse with desperation.

But the animals were beyond reason.

Even if the soldiers wanted to regain control, it was easier said than done.

And Gnar had no intention of giving them the opportunity.

His sheer size alone was a weapon, and with each movement, he brought devastation upon the cavalry.

Faced with his relentless assault, the soldiers had no choice but to abandon thoughts of Shyvana, who was already soaring toward the heart of the camp.

Originally, the camp had been just within reach.

But with just a few casual beats of her wings, Shyvana had already crossed the battlefield and was now looming above the Ares familia's stronghold.

According to Riveria's plan, their primary target was the supply stores of the Ares familia.

Her enormous shadow spread over the camp, immediately drawing attention.

Shyvana didn't attempt to conceal her intentions—nor would it have been possible given her sheer size.

Her sharp eyes swept across the camp below.

But from the sky, all she could see were rows upon rows of identical tents.

Whether intentional or not, the Ares familia had effectively hidden their supply caches within the camp.

Finding them among so many tents would be nearly impossible.

The soldiers below were already in disarray. Dozens of them tilted their heads skyward, watching her in alarm.

Moments later, another unit rushed out of the camp—

A squad of archers, hastily assembled.

Bows were drawn.

Arrows were notched.

Shyvana, however, remained at a height far beyond their effective range.

Even the few officers skilled enough to fire at her found their attacks useless—her dragon scales were not something ordinary weapons could penetrate.

Mundane arrows couldn't even scratch her.

Yet, against an airborne enemy, the Ares familia had little else at their disposal.

After all, in this era, there was no such thing as anti-aircraft weaponry.

A smug grin spread across Shyvana's face, her gaze carrying a hint of provocation.

Was that supposed to be an attack?

Pathetic.

She snorted in amusement.

Then, deep in her throat, fire began to churn—

A blazing sphere of destruction forming at the center of her maw.

The commander below instantly recognized the danger and barked an order for the soldiers around him to disperse.

Above them, the blazing fireball split into countless smaller fireballs, scattering through the air before crashing down.

Within seconds, the tents in the targeted area erupted into flames.

Chaos rippled through the camp as soldiers scrambled to contain the inferno, some even risking their lives to put out the fires.

"Land now! Don't forget our primary objective—move out!!"

Under the relentless assault of Shyvana's dragon breath, the soldiers nearby had no choice but to retreat.

With a few powerful beats of her wings, she generated an updraft, using the momentum to land smoothly on the ground.

The moment her feet touched down, the members of the Sol familia—who had been holding back for long enough—rushed out in different directions.

Of course, this had been planned in advance by Riveria.

Since they couldn't locate the supply warehouse immediately, Plan B had to be initiated.

A wide-scale search was now necessary—not just to find the supplies, but to force the Ares familia into a desperate situation.

Sooner or later, the enemy would be forced to use the equipment stored in their supply depot.

If they couldn't find it, then they would make the enemy expose it themselves.

Leading the charge, Irelia, Sett, and several other elite heroes surged forward, shattering the enemy's defenses in an instant.

The raw suppressive force of high-level adventurers was on full display.

The surrounding soldiers barely had time to react before their formation was torn apart by the sheer impact of the assault.

Berserkers like Sett and the Amazonian sisters fought with reckless abandon, attacking indiscriminately, while Irelia and her group fought with precision.

Her sharp gaze locked onto enemy commanders—anyone who dared to show themselves was immediately met with a barrage of razor-sharp blades.

Compared to the rank-and-file soldiers, these officers were certainly stronger.

But against Irelia, they were no different.

Before long, another squad of Ares familia soldiers arrived as reinforcements.

Armed with grenades and bombs, they prepared to counterattack.

However, many members of the Sol familia were now scattered throughout the battlefield, engaging in close combat with Ares' troops.

Using explosives here would inevitably result in friendly fire.

That left only one clear target.

The massive dragon standing alone in the battlefield.

Shyvana narrowed her eyes.

Do they think I'm an easy target?

Grenades whistled through the air, hurtling toward her from all directions.

Without hesitation, she spread her enormous wings, folding them around herself like a protective barrier—
