The elevator imploded.
Lyn fell. She grabbed onto Amara with her wire. Amara was holding onto Carina, floating in the air.
"OY!" She called out shooting her in the back.
"Don't-," Carina urged.
Amara looked down. Her vertigo kicked in. Lyn gave her a big ol' PULL! The two of them fell down into the city.
Carina glared and followed after them.
...…
Lyn and Amara crashed into Amara's apartment, when she sat across from Carina. Amara's eyes widened.
"No no no no," she exclaimed, running out into the streets.
Lyn followed her, "So yer grey is the girlfriend ya may'r'may not have gotten killed, thanks fur bringin' me up to speed. Could've done that while-,"
"Its none of yer business, yer-,"
"An intruder I know," She rolled her eyes and waved away. "D'ya think she's goin' to furgive ya from the grave?"
"I-she…she's not dead!" Amara exclaimed, eyes widened.
"Ahn will she furgive ya the way ya're now, following' in the ways of the system that abused 'er?"
"What am I supposed to do?!" she exclaimed, holding herself.
Lyn took a deep breath. She scratched the side of her head, think very carefully
"Just cause ya didn't see the horrible things yer country has done, doesn't make ya guiltless. When ya turn a blind eye, its on ya," She stated, walking next to her, her hands in her pockets. "There's nothin' ya can do about it, but this ain't the answer, Amara,"
Amara looked at Lyn in shock, "Wh-what would ya-?"
She looked into Lyn's eyes. They were empty and cold.
There was a sudden, burning pain within her. Amara fell to her knees, her hands on her head.
Lyn reached for her. An explosion of silver wind came from her as she screamed.
The grey sky began to crystalize. The ground slowly became infected with grey. The white in the city flickered and struggled to no avail.
Amara was trapped in a tornado of silver wind. Carina appeared before Lyn on the outskirts.
"Look what yuv done, Lyn A. El-Amin, yuv hurt my precious 'Mara," she called out.
"Last I checked its grey that causes pain, mate," she commented, snapping her fingers and pointing them at her.
"Ya know me?" She asked, eyes narrowed.
"I work fur Taipan, 'course I bloody know ya," she stated. {Light reference to Castlevania Season 4 episode 9}.
"Then ya should also know that it don't matter," she sighed, shaking her head.
Carina grew horns and fangs. Her nails extended into tiny blades. Her slippers became great talons. She waved her claws and the wind engulfed Lyn.
Lyn held the hair out of her face and narrowed her eyes. It was bright and hard to see. It was loud and hard to hear.
A grey spike went right for Lyn's head. She was only able to notice and dodge at the last millisecond.
She dodged, "yer plan is to stealth me to death? Ya know what I did fur a livin' ri-?"
Carina appeared from the light and clawed at her. Lyn dodged away, only receiving a scratch on the cheek.
[She remembered where Amara was, and what the city looked like. She also pictured the grey infecting and filling the place up over time].
Time was running out. She dashed right towards where she needed to be.
A wave of spikes came her way. Simple to dodge, she hopped along it.
They opened for her. She landed and jumped before the spikes reconvened to crush her.
She made a shield of stars spread wide. They broke.
She moved to dodge to no avail. A spear shot through her, impaling her.
She grabbed it, using her knowledge or its coming to rip it out before it did any greater damage. She spun it around to block the next several strikes before throwing it back.
A pillar shot up from beneath her. She was struck by a MASSIVE claw and sent flying up.
She scrraaaped her shoes against the roof she landed upon. She took heavy breaths, silver and purple lights coming off her.
In the distance, she could see a silhouette. It was a giant mass of grey that resembled the statue from the hill in in Lynception AKT IX. It dwarved Lyn in size, making her to be a mere speck before it. {Unintentional reference to Castlevania season 4 ep 9}
A series of spears came her way.
She made a massive star. She threw it and latched onto it. She crashed down between many of the buildings.
She entered into one of said buildings, silently closing the door. She took silent, quick breaths.
"Ya can't hide from me, Lyn," Carina called out in a soft voice.
There was the sound of a great crash. A building had been destroyed. She had to keep moving. She slipped out the nearest window.
[She pictured the paths before her. Even with a glance she knew the Hollow Realm in great detail].
The building she just left was crushed by one of the massive claws. Lyn slipped around the nearest corner. She saw Carina's silhouette nearby, observing the destroyed building.
"Always switchin' things up aintcha, Lyn?" she remarked. "Relax, I haven't seen ya yet. Don't need to,"
Spiked pillars dug into the alleys. Lyn leapt up the walls, but not so high as to get on the rooves. She even powered down to decrease her height.
The pillars below retracted. Lyn dropped down, powered up, and dashed. Spears rained from the sky.
She was impaled by several, stumbling to her knees. She shook it off and kept running.
"Oh, there ya're,"
The massive claw nearly crushed her. Massive, building size, spears came down on her. She pulled herself up onto the giant's arm.
She ran up it.
"Gotcha,"
Claws reached from the giant's arm. Lyn tried to avoid them, but it wasn't long before they grabbed her and pulled her down.
She yelled. She struggled. She struck. It didn't matter.
The giant brought her up to eye level. Its massive Drescher hade was smiling an evil smile at her. The smile was empty though. The grey experiences no true pleasure.
"I'm going to bring balance to ya, Lyn. Then I'll bring balance to Amara, and who knows, it a couple decades the entire universe will be brought to balance. Grey is inescapable,"
"Wow…I don't care. We both know that's a load of smith anyways, grey,"
"Cocky until the end. Goodbye, Lyn,"
