It couldn't even happen when they were set for trial today. I felt a lot of relief when Jax announced it. So much relief that I nearly jumped in joy but I knew it was too insensitive. Not when Jax was grieving. He was trying his best to act strong, like he wasn't hurting but I could tell.
He was finding it hard to fully connect with us anymore. He was physically present but not emotionally. It was even worse as he had to make a decision on the type of death they were going to receive.
He ended up with a public death. To show everyone that he was still in charge and no one should cross him. I think it was also a gesture to prove to me that he meant everything in his coronation rites. Going through with this trial was enough to prove to me.
I wore Xander a small cap to prevent the cold from getting into his body. I didn't want him to have another fever. That whole week was gruesome and challenging.
