Concubine Luo soon develop fever and pain. Her bleeding have stop but she is still uncomfortable. She also detest the crying baby. Her parents come over to the mansion on the next day. Minister Luo's wife is still angry about being thrown out. She yell her way through the mansion. When they see their daughter, the lady cry and complain to Li Cheng who is following behind them. She demand for a better and bigger room. LI Cheng politely inform her that the bedroom belongs to Banou and him. Hence he will move her when she is better. Minister Luo is surprise when he hear that.
"Where are you and your wife sleeping at?"
"I am sleeping in the library while she is squeezing in with the maid."
"She is a slave... that is where..."
She suddenly notice two men are staring at her for speaking bad about Banou. She shut her mouth up immediately. While Minister Luo bow deeply to Li Cheng as to apologise to him. Li Cheng who is not in his mind to think is frowning and he walk out of the room. Later Banou can hear the Luo couple arguing in the room. She see Minister Luo storming out and dragging the wife in his hand. Without saying goodbye they left in their carriage. Banou walk into room to check on Yin Wen. She is still having fever but she is awake. She look at Banou.
"I told father to take mother away."
"He asked why."
"Jie Jie, i told him everything. He scream at my mother. He ask me to rest and he drag my mother away."
"It's fine now. Don't think so much. Here take some medicine."
Seven days pass and Yin Wen did not carry her baby. She leaves it to Wang MoMo and Banou to decided what to do for the child. Banou who is still lactating she is able to feed the child. However she look at the baby girl with sadness. If only this child is her own flesh and blood. Another baby girl whom the birth mother cannot accept them are push towards Banou's direction. She look at Li Xin, this little one share the same fate. After some days pass, Li Cheng walk in to see Banou feeding the child. Banou see his face after along time. His beard have grown longer and his eyebrows looks like he is in sadness. He walks over near a chair and sit there. The silence is loud in that room. Aylin walk in to take the baby, she is surprise to see her master in the room. Aylin hurrily pick up the baby and walk out with Min Min. They close the door while Banou clean herself up.
"Ban Nu..."
"You should take lunch now. Don't waste the food that they have cooked."
"I ... am "
"Sorry? Don't tell me that. I think i have hear enough the last round. I am hungry."
She attempt to walk out but Li Cheng hold her back. He hug her from behind.
"I don't know what else to say to you. I know you are disappointed."
"Enough. Let's go eat lunch. It's the same conversation over and over again."
"Do you want me to get rid of the child and her ..."
"No. I don't want the outsiders to see me as a jealous woman."
Banou push him aside and walk out of the door. Li Cheng follow behind. The children in the mansion who are having their meals notice that their father looks like a puppy that is lost. Even though the couple are sitting together eating their meals, the silence between them are loud.
Six months pass and those who are living in the school have return home. They are now all older, taller and bigger build. With XiongNu's blood in them, they did not display their character of violence nor anger out of nothing as other said. They waited till Li Cheng return home and request to join in the military school. After that they notice that the distance of their parents. They rarely talk and the concubine is never appear. Concubine Luo remain bed ridden for a long time, she is weak from the constant bleeding. Even at a young age of sixteen, she is not able to recover from the child birth. The royal physicians who come by and check on her on daily. Her father is the only one who comes by on alternate days to check on her. While Banou is the only one who comes by in the room to talk to Yin Wen. The new young mother never once ask about her child.
"My father told me, he had sent my mother back to her maiden family in LouYang. They did not want to divorce since she have been staying in the Lou family ever since she is bought over as a child bride in the age of six. Hence it's better that they live their own lives and thus he sent her back there. He said he owe her a lot in life thus he wants to let her live her life whatever she choose to do but she cannot interfere with our lives anymore. Banou just smile and pat her hands. Couples always have their problems eventually the problems will resolve over time. Banou hopes over time, she can overcome her issue with Li Cheng. For now, they are living their own life too.
