"I got the permission from High Scholar Emeris," said Instructor Kiyana, her voice carrying through the green grass where she sat with none other than Ryuk.
The rest of the students had already left.
"Permission for wha—" Ryuk began asking when he watched an object slip out from the void and appear in her hands.
A silvery-white book, with dots of silvery Aetheris swirling around it, revealing it was an Aetheris cultivation manual.
"Oh, you got the manual?" he asked as he nodded.
She turned to him but then shook her head.
"But I don't think you'll be needing it," she said.
A thump echoed in Ryuk's heart, but he asked anyway, "And why is that?"
"Because one can only change their Aetheris Manual once they reach the Eidon Lord Realm.
"If you're below that, you're stuck with whatever manual you used to start your cultivation. And I know you already have a cultivation manual of your own."
