"Why are you doing this?" Han An's gaze was fixed intently on Zhong Niangyao, "The Imperial Decree you seek isn't helping me at all, it's harming me."
She had once been the disciple of Zhong Niangyao and, although she couldn't claim to fully understand her teacher's character, she still had some clarity. Thus, she didn't believe that Zhong Niangyao's intention in seeking the Imperial Decree was to help her.
"Harming you?" Zhong Niangyao looked at Han An, a smirk playing on her lips, "In that case, I'll go to the Emperor tomorrow and ask him to revoke his command. That would be my last request before leaving, and I think he will surely agree."
"No."
After hearing Zhong Niangyao's words, Han An instinctively objected.
But then, when she met Zhong Niangyao's mocking smile, she felt a twinge of embarrassment and agitation in her heart.
