Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Tell her

Her hand is extended with the soup in it. Steam emitted from the spoon upwards from it, showing how hot and fresh off the fire it is. When Saif saw this sight again, it made him feel a warm feeling in his heart. It reminded him why he is fighting so hard to protect her from the wide building's people. He pulls his face in and puts the spoon in his mouth, and then a burning sensation takes his mouth whole and he flinches hard from how severe the pain was. He opens his mouth and lets the soup fall from it as he breathes heavily through his mouth to ease the pain. He forgot how you need to blow on the soup to cool it down before drinking it, or your mouth will burn and hurt. Again, the person grabs another bit of soup from the bowl and blows on it to cool it down for him.

When seeing this action again, he remembered how gentle she actually is. Just the sight of her doing this to him gave him a warmth in his chest. Maybe he suffered all those times so that he could save her from the wide building. As she extended her hand again to feed him, he pulled his head in and put the spoon in his mouth, and again, he tasted the soup that was made by her hands, and it was delectable. As she kept feeding him, Saif noticed that she had to keep getting on her tiptoes just so that she could place the spoon in his mouth more properly and not spill any of the soup. Almost immediately when he noticed this, he wanted to help her by lowering himself to her level in a squatting position. When he bent down, her face slightly shifted to surprise, but it wasn't noticeable at all. He stayed in this position for a while as he found that she looked way more comfortable as she fed him now.

He stayed bent down for a while, trying as hard as he could to hold this position just for her, and he placed his hands on his knees as support, but after a while longer, he couldn't take it anymore, and he over time started to slowly subconsciously rise again. The burning sensation he felt from his legs and back was not something he has ever felt before. It felt aching, but she looked so much more comfortable now, he just couldn't do it, but the pain grew too gruesome. He suddenly slowly just extended his body back up fully from how much pain he felt from his legs and back, and then thought that it wouldn't be that bad if they shared discomfort. Right? A bit for her and a bit for him, but when he saw her struggling again, he felt bad for wanting her to be uncomfortable for his own comfort when she had made this soup for him, and is even feeding him it. He thought to himself for a moment, as he had to be the one to endure the pain, but as he was bending down again, he then remembered how he was laying down last time and she was feeding him on the first loop, and both were probably comfortable, as he was kind of comfortable on the floor. As he thinks of this, she extended her hand again after she finished blowing on the soup for him. So now he had a dilemma. He was now contemplating whether he should get on the ground and lay there and drink the soup, or drink the soup and then lay there, and he hesitated between both. He kept rising and dropping quickly, as he really didn't know what to do, but eventually just decided to just go for it and eat the soup and then lay on the ground.

As he was laying his body on the ground, he felt the tiny rocks and the tiny crystal shards on him, so he went down slowly for it to not hurt, yet, there were some pings from some rocks and crystals that still felt like needles for a moment on his flesh, and he moved them all away. As he finally got into the layed down position, she then also bent down, laying her chin on her knee, while she fed him, and him enjoying the food, and now has a front row view of her face. As she fed him, he finally is able to look at her face even more up close, and finds that it's beautiful with her blue eyes sparkling before him. Her luscious hair moving with her head, and its golden color that is reflecting the color of the sun, and becoming more mesmerising by its light. Saif knew he loved every part of her by the fact that he was describing them with words he had just relearned again. Her lips were also a grand highlight, with how they curve to blow on the soup, and how soft they were put him in pure awe, and for some reason, he wanted to touch them, but quickly stops himself as it feels wrong to do, for now. Her flawless skin that looked so smooth that ice would be jealous of it, and with how shiny it was, he was amazed. Every part of her was perfect. Or was he the one that was seeing it all as perfect? Didn't matter, as to the extent that he is concerned, she is perfect. But... how aloof she was, and how she wouldn't move her face at all just didn't feel right. It gave him the feeling that she might be, sad. Or maybe he is just looking too little into it and she is just quiet, as granted, he is also really quiet too. And frankly, he likes the quiet between them, as they don't need words to exchange how they feel. It felt, nice in a peculiar way.

As he is thinking of this, finally, the soup was almost done and finished. He was sad when he saw that the bowl was about to be empty, and she was blowing on one of the last spoonfuls she will feed him, but he will just have to cherish it even more now. There were things in the soup, like vegetables and meat, but they were small enough for him just to swallow most of them whole with no problem without chewing, so it was just a relaxing and quick time. But was he chewing at all? Did he chew? Wait, is he forgetting again? No, it's normal to forget, right? He didn't really have an answer, or could even know how to remember things again if he really wanted it anyway, so he just holds hope that he wont forget this like everything else. He doesn't want to forget her. As she extended the last spoonful, it snapped Saif out of his thoughts, and when he looked back at her face, he remembered how now he needs to lock in. As the soup is now done, needs to stop her from going to the wide building at all costs. As she puts the spoon in his mouth and he swallows, a thought pops into his head. If her destination was the wide building, then why has he never seen her there when it got dark? Better question, where was she when he was being hurt?

As he thinks of this, she got up with bowl in hand and turned around back to pack things up as she did before after feeding him. And when she turned around, his eyes widened at what he saw. When he was carried by someone last time to the wide building, he saw the back of their legs and behind, and when he looked at her now, it was the same legs and behind as that person. What did this mean? Was she... . No. It can't be, she probably saved him again from whatever hit him and was taking him to the wide building like last time because she was already just going there and wanted to take him there with her. But where was she if the wide building was her destination? No, She must have just ran because she was scared of the robed figures too. Yeah, right, those must be the reasons for everything that happened. She would never. ... . Right? No, she wouldn't have saved him if she wanted him dead anyway. It doesn't make sense at all. So she must be good. So I should stop thinking of all of these things and think of a way to stop her from going to the wide building. Someone like her should never suffer what he suffered, and he is glad she ran away each time. But deep down, he feels sad that she would leave him, but it's overpowered by him understanding how terrifying that place is. Then a thought dawned on him that sent a shiver down his spin. What if the reason he never saw her anywhere was because they already... NO!! I don't want to even think about that. I will stop this, no matter what it takes! For her!!

As he finds this new found determination in his heart, he looks back to her with determination in his eyes as she is packing everything up, and he feels a fire go off in him that has been lit by his determination for her. With this, he gets up and starts to think of how he is going to tell her, and how will he make her listen, as last time, she ignored him. Suddenly, he feels that he has to take a leak. (Later after he was done). This time when he took a leak, he felt more in control rather than last time. And now splash damage was minimal this time. But what happened to this water in him the time before, as he doesn't remember doing this yesterday. Was it even considered yesterday, or is it still considered just today? Now that he thinks about it, he felt wet most of the time when he was carried. A sense of disgust washes over him. He tries his best to ignore it to then think of how he is going to tell her again. As he walks back into the ruin again, she is standing right there waiting for him right around the corner, again, which, again, makes him flinch again just like last time as he seems to have forgotten she did that, but was reminded. Reminded... So that's how you regain back lost memories. He will worry about that later, but for now all he needs to do is to tell her. But what should he tell her? And in what order? Should he tell her about the robed figures, or what they did to him, or how they hurt him or about when that one stabbed him in-... he looks down at his axe that he is holding in his hand, remembering how it will be used to hurt him, and sadness is evident on his face, as his axe, HIS axe, will be used like this on him.
