Chapter 88 - A E-Rank World

I raised my sword, glancing down at the red Sacred Gear sitting on the table in front of me. This would either give me a huge boost, or I'd be out of a Twice Critical.

I swung my sword down, slamming the huge blade roughly on the much smaller Sacred Gear.

[Weapon Devour] has been used on [RARE] [Twice Critical]!

[Beast Monarch's Blade] has gained the [Single Boost] ability!

[Single Boost] - Double your power once.

I grinned at the results as my black blade glowed with a light-black aura, which streamed down to the small gauntlet on the table. It surrounded the Twice Critical, then flowed back to the blade as the gauntlet dissolved into thin air.

I wasn't sure if trying that was just going to destroy the Sacred Gear, but I was glad it didn't. I had been apprehensive about bonding the Twice Critical to my soul, as I didn't know if I'd be able to get another Sacred Gear later, so this was a much better option.

As long as my larger and sturdier sword didn't get destroyed again, I'd always have access to the skill when I was using it.

I spun the blade around, casually placing it in its sheath as I stood in my throne room. It was empty at the moment, as night was just starting to fall outside. I had picked this time specifically to travel to the E-Rank World, as it was the time when I wouldn't be needed for anything important.

I already spent most of each night having sex anyway, so while I would be missing out on that, it wasn't like anything truly important was being missed. Time would also move at half speed while I was gone, so I could spend roughly a whole day in the other world before anyone even knew I was gone.

Of course, I had told Raya that I would be gone for the night and possibly the start of the day, so it wasn't like they'd wake up panicked that I was gone.

I raised my hand, my finger tapping in the air as I navigated my system and moved to the World Traveling System's hub. Once I was there, I tapped on the [E-Rank World 1] circle.

Create a portal to [E-Rank World 1]?

Y/N

Note: Anyone who finds the portal may enter it!

Note: You may only have one portal open at a time!

I paused for a second at that second-to-last time, and quickly decided I should put the portal in a more secretive spot. I was glad I had that warning at least - it would've been annoying if people in the world on the other side started showing up in my throne room randomly.

I headed out of my palace entirely, as having a portal set up to enter directly into my home probably wasn't the best idea. Instead, I headed down the mountain my palace sat on a bit, heading to a large waterfall and pond that had been constructed on the side.

There had already been a small waterfall here before, but Tiffana apparently had a love for water, so now there was a large pond that it flowed into. It was a pretty secluded area that only Tiffana and a couple of other fairies visited, so I wouldn't have to worry about anyone stumbling upon it aside from them.

"Your Highness!" I paused as I reached the pond, glancing over as the voice of Tiffana called out to me. Despite it being so late in the day, the Fairy Queen was buck-naked as she sat in the waist-high water and waved at me.

"Tiffana," I just nodded back easily, "Don't tell anyone about what I'm about to do, alright?"

"Not even the spirits?" Tiffana frowned at my words, her beautiful face looking disgruntled at the idea.

"Not even the spirits," I confirmed, chuckling lightly as I raised my hand. I tapped on the [E-Rank World 1] circle again, and when the creation option appeared in front of me, I clicked 'Y.'

The air in front of me started to shimmer, and then… nothing else happened.

[E-Rank World 1]

Portal creation time: 59 minutes, 59 seconds…

Portal creation time: 59 minutes, 58 seconds…

As the timer started to count down in front of me, I frowned lightly. I forgot that it took an hour to open a portal.

"...The spirits say that was anti-climactic," Tiffana called out behind me, and I glanced over at her dryly.

"Something cool will happen in an hour," I just sighed, "Damn, now I gotta wait for an hour."

I should've started the creation process earlier so it'd be ready when I was prepared to leave.

"Then, you can spend that hour waiting with me," Tiffana grinned in a floaty-way, her hands going down as she cupped her large breasts - which were massive, as the woman was even taller than I was - and looked at me sensually, "Come enjoy the water, Your Highness."

I glanced over at her, then at the slowly forming portal as the air vibrated, then down at my armor. Was I really going to take off all my armor just to have sex while I waited?

I glanced over, taking in Tiffana's thick body, huge breasts, soft skin, and seductive gaze.

Fuck yeah I was!

I promptly reached up, pulling off the thick helmet and setting it on the floor near the portal. I did the same with the rest of my armor, then with my clothing, until I was just as naked as Tiffana.

Having a bit of fun while I wait wasn't hurting anybody, right?

—----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Watch out for anyone coming out from here, alright?" I called back casually as I finished putting my helmet back on, "If someone does, just capture them. Don't kill them."

"Yesh… I will… keep watch…" Tiffana confirmed, though her lookout abilities were doubtful as she lay limp on the edge of the pond, exhausted from the activities we had just finished, and her words were slurred a bit.

But, despite her lidded eyes, I was sure she would do fine guarding the portal. If anyone did come through from the other side while I was exploring the new world, I doubt they would be much of a threat to her.

While E-Rank worlds were a step-up from F-Rank, an F-Rank world was probably only a slice-of-life universe or something similar. The worst I would have to deal with there was likely normal human guns, and with my current skills even a nuke wouldn't be able to take me out.

So, I assumed that E-Rank worlds were only a slight step up. There might be a small power system in place, or maybe some advanced machines like Mecha's, but nothing that the Fairy Queen couldn't handle.

Speaking of the portal, it had now fully finished forming. The air in front of the pond was constantly swirling, being dragged into a pure purple mist in front of me. The portal was pretty large, being roughly 20 feet wide and tall overall.

"I'll be back in a few hours," I finished, stepping forward into the mist, "Half a day at most."

And, with those words said, I was gone. It was a strange feeling being pulled through a portal - one moment I was staring into the purple mist, and the next I was staring at a… rather plain-looking road?

I glanced around, slightly surprised as I took in my surroundings. I wasn't standing on the road - instead, I was standing above it as I stared down from the roof of a building. The landscape around me was very normal, looking just like a typical human world with tall buildings, cars littering the road, and even people walking on the sidewalks.

It was definitely not what I expected. I wasn't really sure what I had expected to be honest, but it was surely not a normal human world. I at least thought something about where I started would give me a clue as to what world I was in, but this one could've been a thousand different ones.

The only clue I had was some of the words hanging above the entrance of buildings below me, along with a few signs scattered on the street. The words were definitely Japanese, which at least narrowed down to me that I was probably in an anime world.

As I was looking around blankly, unsure of how to even start and figure out where I was, a notification appeared in front of me.

For entering a [E-Rank World], you have gained a [Mainline Quest]!

[Quest Alert!]

Conquer [E-Rank World 1]

Rewards:

[Apocalypse Monarch] Title

Obtain access to the [E-Rank World 2]!

Failure:

Never gain access to [E-Rank World 2]!

Apocalypse Monarch? That sounded pretty badass, but didn't really help much. As I glanced at the people walking down the street and going about their days, it certainly didn't look like there was an apocalypse happening.

[Alert!]

For entering [E-Rank World 1], your [Guidebook] has been updated!

Well, hopefully that would shed some more light on where I was. I quickly tapped through my system, opening my guidebook again as a new section appeared.

[E-Rank Worlds]

A more in-depth explanation of [E-Rank Worlds]!

[E-Rank Worlds] are the second-lowest ranked worlds, which are considered very easy for the user to conquer!

In these worlds, attempting to gain significant strength or stats is not recommended! The enemies here will not be powerful enough to benefit you significantly!

Instead, it is recommended to focus on gaining Skills, Techniques, Technology, Allies, or other unique benefits!

Or, to focus on enjoying yourself!

Quests will be available throughout the [E-Rank World] to guide you toward your ultimate [Mainline Quest]!

As my eyes glanced down the wall of information, I was a bit disappointed. It definitely helped out a bit, but not all that much. It would seem that I'd need to go gather intel on my own.

I reached up, grabbing my helmet as I wondered if I should at least take off my gear for now. In a regular human society, I would stick out like a sore thumb, and I probably wouldn't. I glanced back at the portal shimmering on the rooftop behind me, taking a step forward as I readied to bring the armor to my palace and then come back.

But, just as I was about to leave, another notification appeared in front of me - or, more specifically, three more notifications.

[Quest Alert!]

Protect [Fujimi Academy]!

Prevent [Undead] from invading [Fujimi Academy]!

Rewards:

+Gain potential [Allies]!

+1 [Medium] Gacha Pull!

+1 [Low] Gacha Pull for each living person within [Fujimi Academy]

Failure:

Miss out on potential [Allies]!

Undead? That made sense with the [Apocalypse Monarch], but as I glanced around the bustling city below me, it didn't look like an apocalypse at all.

[Quest Alert!]

Defeat 10,000 [Undead]!

Rewards:

+All unclaimed [Zombie] related skills!

Failure:

Nothing!

Zombie-related skills? So, this was definitely some apocalypse-related world. Maybe I had come over before the outbreak had happened?

Finally, there was the most appealing quest.

[Quest Alert!]

Conquer [Tokonosu City]!

Defeat all [Undead] in [Tokonosu] City!

Rewards:

+[Bane of the Undead] Title

+1 STR for every living person in [Tokonosu City]

+1 AGI for every living person in [Tokonosu City]

+1 END for every living person in [Tokonosu City]

+1 MP for every living person in [Tokonosu City]

+1 INT for every living person in [Tokonosu City]

+1 CHA for every living person in [Tokonosu City]

+1 LUK for every living person in [Tokonosu City]

+1 HREG for every living person in [Tokonosu City]

+1 MREG for every living person in [Tokonosu City]

Failure:

Never Conquer [E-Rank World 1]

I paused at the last quest, raising my eyebrow at the actually rather good rewards. One stat point might not seem like much, but the city around me was pretty big.

At the very least, it looked like there would be ten thousand people living here, and it was likely that there were more than double that number. The [Guidebook] said not to focus on gaining stats here, but that was a good amount of points.

And, while the quests didn't explain a lot, at least I had some direction now. Instead of just running around and trying to figure out where I was, I could find 'Fujimi Academy' and complete the quest, and hopefully, I'd find whatever the 'undead' were in the process of the other quest.

But my armor would definitely get in the way in this world, as I stick out a lot. I turned around to go put it back in my palace, but paused as I got an idea.

Luckily, after leveling up [Appearance Disguise] so much, I could form the magical disguise over even clothing. I had never tried it with something as thick and complex as this armor, but there was a first time for everything, right?

So, one use of the skill later, and on the outside I looked like my normal self. Of course, if anyone touched me or even got too close to me, they would feel the armor, but from a viewing perspective I was hidden.

I casually stepped off the roof of the building, forgetting for a moment that doing something like that wasn't normal as I plummeted.

"W-What the hell?!"

I landed on the floor, the ground cracking under my feet as I did, and I got some weird looks from nearby onlookers, with a closeby one having wide and shocked eyes.

They would be about to be even more weirded out, because I tensed my legs and disappeared quicker than their eyes could track. The first action I needed to take to find Fujimi Academy was to find a map, and by a map, I meant a phone.

Luckily, this was just a normal human world, so after a little bit of searching, I found a tech store sitting on the side of a road a couple of streets away from where my portal was. I didn't pay, instead just running in, grabbing a phone, and getting out faster than a human's eyes could track.

Even if they had security cameras, it would probably just show the phone disappearing into thin air. I easily navigated through the phone's main screen, finding the map app, and then searching for the academy.

As I squinted down at the map through the visor of my helmet, probably looking like an old man to onlookers as I stood on the side of the road, I quickly found my destination. It wasn't too far away, and it only took me a couple of seconds to sprint there as the world around me blurred.

As I reached the point on the map, I glanced up, and my eyes widened slightly. The academy looked pretty normal, but as my supernatural eyes looked at the entrance, I quickly spotted an unmistakable woman with long purple hair.

I only caught a glimpse of her face as she walked into the academy's entrance, but that glimpse was enough. If I didn't have the prior knowledge of this world being an apocalyptic one, I might not have recognized her, but I definitely did now as everything clicked into place.

Saeko Busujima.

A normal city, an apocalypse, and killing [Undead].

In a rather ironic twist of events, I had just gone from one extremely ecchi world to another.

AN: The 'Conquer the Dead' arc has started! Thank you for reading! The next chapter will be out tomorrow!

I've also decided that I'll put a little note before each otherworld-centric arc for anyone who doesn't like a specific series and wants to skip over those chapters. For this one, it's rather short and only lasts less than 10 chapters! (Though things that happen during it affect the overall plot and future, so I don't recommend skipping any arcs, or you might end up confused later on!)

You can also read the next 7 chapters right now on Patreon.com/Koyon !
