The Ancient Sea Race has only ever welcomed one race, and that was the humans. Of course, not all humans were welcomed; however, they once opened their doors to the Wynthralls, the then-life magicians of the human race.
It was safe to say they only ever saw the Wynthralls, as the only worthy race they considered equals.
However, after the battle of parting, they separated from the rest of the world and never interacted with the outside world ever again
But while they never came out, they surely knew everything that was going on outside.
Naturally, this was possible because of the hand.
Years back, when the hand was established, they came into an agreement with the Sea race. They will provide them with information in exchange for a space to set up their headquarters on the Black Sea.
This was received well by the Sea Race and since then, they have had a cordial relationship with the hand. However, they never even bother to come out and see things for themselves.
