There was one thing to believe what Kent said, and another for the elders and the tribe chief to trust him with the lives of their tribe.
They just can't do that despite their priestess saying Kent is indeed the envoy of their god.
However, Kent didn't really care about that. His mission ends in 15 days, and because of that, he knew he must get his groove on before it was too late.

Kent was only thankful they didn't become hostile toward him. He knew this was good progress and could be used to his advantage.
