Chapter 194 - Taking Wanda Flying

On the other side, Su Ye went to find the Maximoff twins.

Then, should his first words be, 'I am your father!'?

According to the comics, the twins were actually fostered by the Maximoff family, and their biological father was Magneto.

And now, since Su Ye had gained Magneto's abilities, he was essentially the Magneto of this world.

Rounding it up, well… that made Su Ye their father.

If Su Ye were just a bit older, say around 30, he could even make this claim official.

A 30-year-old man with two 16-year-old kids—honestly, not impossible.

That year, young and naive, he went to visit the neighbor's house. The neighbor's older sister was home alone on break, and then…

This story isn't far-fetched at all. The Korean movie Scandal Makers tells the story of a 36-year-old grandfather, a 22-year-old mother, and a 5-year-old grandson.

Even just imagining it feels a little sinful, but they actually made a movie about it, and it even got a Chinese remake, Grandpa at 38, where they just added two more years to the male lead's age—still only 16 years older than his daughter.

This proves that such a scenario is feasible—anything is possible!

Unfortunately, Su Ye was only 19 years old himself—just three years older than them… Yeah, forget it.

"Hello, my name is Su Ye. You can call me Uncle Su, just like the others do."

Su Ye introduced himself to the twins.

The dazed expressions on their faces instantly came to life.

"You… were the one who helped us?"

Due to Baron Strucker's strategic handling, none of the children who participated in the experiment—whether they gained powers or not—harbored any resentment toward Hydra.

In fact, under Baron Strucker's and Hydra's deliberate guidance, they had developed a deep sense of gratitude toward Su Ye.

The Maximoff twins were grateful to Su Ye for giving them superpowers.

The other children were also thankful to Su Ye for providing them a place where they could eat and sleep safely.

Most of them were orphans from Sokovia and other war-torn countries nearby—surviving alone had already been difficult.

It was Hydra's experiment that had given them a chance to survive.

Although they didn't gain superpowers in the experiment, Hydra still kept them, provided them with education, job opportunities, and even the option to join Hydra.

This approach changed the children's perception of Hydra. Initially, they had believed Hydra to be pure evil—from its name to its actions and even its outfits—but now, they felt gratitude and even attachment toward it.

In fact, none of these children chose to leave. Instead, they planned to complete their training and directly join Hydra as proud agents.

"Cut off one head, and two more shall take its place!"

Hydra's motto was deeply engraved in their minds, and in their perception, Hydra's emblem was red.

If even the ordinary children felt this way, then for the Maximoff twins, who had gained superpowers, it was even more pronounced.

When they saw Su Ye, it was as if they were looking at their savior. At this moment, Su Ye was electricity, light, the one and only legend!

Seeing their reaction, Su Ye shook his head calmly.

"This is the result of your own efforts. It has little to do with me—I merely provided a possibility."

The more humble Su Ye was, the more extraordinary the Maximoff twins believed him to be.

Truly capable and accomplished people accept the world's admiration with calm indifference, while those who boast about themselves everywhere are mere frauds seeking undeserved fame.

Though still young, the twins had experienced much hardship and developed strong convictions. At this moment, the idea that Su Ye was their second father had already taken root in their hearts.

Once this thought had formed, it would not be easily changed.

However, there was one thing they needed to confirm with Su Ye.

"Now that we have power, we can avenge our parents… but our enemy's identity is complicated…"

Wanda spoke softly, her obsession with revenge deeply rooted. She had witnessed firsthand as a Stark Industries missile collapsed their home, counting the seconds while experiencing a terror so profound it had scarred her for life.

What Wanda didn't know was that the missile wasn't a dud by design—it had been altered by her latent Chaos Magic, which was yet to awaken, rendering it inert.

Because of that missile, the young and stubborn Wanda had pinned all blame on Tony Stark, believing him to be the culprit responsible for her family's destruction.

She wanted revenge—she wanted to make Tony Stark pay for her parents' deaths.

But everyone on Earth knew that Tony Stark was a member of the Great Wall Guardians, and that the Guardians were under Su Ye's leadership.

So, if she wanted to take action against Tony Stark, she would first need Su Ye's approval.

And yet, Su Ye had just become their second father.

Thus, before seeking revenge, they at least had to inform Su Ye.

Su Ye nodded. "I know a little about your past. I know who your enemy is, and I understand your determination for revenge."

"But let me ask you this—if a murderer kills someone with a knife, should we seek vengeance against the murderer, or against the person who made the knife?"

"I know that saying this might make me seem like I'm speaking from a place of privilege since it wasn't my family who died. And yes, arms dealers like Tony Stark's company have indeed committed many shameful and unethical acts for profit worldwide."

"However, Tony Stark—at least the Tony Stark of today—is completely different from those arms dealers."

"I don't know if you saw his performance during the Battle of New York. Beyond that, he fought in Los Angeles, Tokyo, and even traveled with me to outer space—to Thor's homeworld of Asgard and even farther, to Xandar."

"Throughout these events, he fought as a true hero, fulfilling the duties of one."

"If you kill Tony Stark over that missile, do you think the people he has saved would ever accept what you've done?"

"Of course, I'm not telling you to abandon your desire for vengeance. That is your right, your choice, and I have no authority to interfere. I only hope that you take the time to observe, to think it through—so that you don't regret your decision in the future."

Maybe ever since he had been called 'Uncle Su,' this title had influenced him—he was starting to talk in long-winded speeches, making himself sound like some wise old sage.

This tendency to lecture wasn't a good habit, and Su Ye himself didn't like it.

But he couldn't help it. After all, he was dealing with the Maximoff twins. Little Wanda, despite being only sixteen, already had proportions comparable to Black Widow's—given time, she would undoubtedly surpass her.

And as one of the most beautiful and well-proportioned female heroes in the Marvel series, little Wanda was worth Su Ye's time and effort to guide properly.

After listening to Su Ye's words, the two kids were visibly struggling to fully comprehend them.

They had been orphans from a young age and hadn't received much formal education over the years, so absorbing Su Ye's long-winded reasoning was a bit difficult for them.

However, since it was Su Ye who had said it, they made an effort to remember his words and tried to understand and accept his reasoning.

"This isn't the place to talk. Come on, I'll take you away from here first."

With that, Su Ye lifted his head and walked outside, where the Quinjet was already prepared for takeoff.

Making two transatlantic crossings in a short period was nothing for the current Quinjet. It could even achieve unlimited aerial endurance through mid-air battery swaps.

The one piloting the plane was Black Widow.

Ever since she had fought alongside Su Ye in the Gundam cockpit on Jotunheim and received that very Gundam as her personal mecha, Black Widow had become particularly attentive to Su Ye.

Due to the Extremis virus, she was no longer the incomplete Black Widow agent shaped by the Red Room—she was now a fully restored and complete woman, capable of freely pursuing relationships, even marriage and children.

But all of this was thanks to Su Ye, and in other ways too, he had given Black Widow a warmth she had never experienced before.

So Black Widow had secretly made up her mind—she was going to follow Su Ye for the rest of her life, even if it meant staying in the shadows as his unseen pilot forever.

Being a pilot wasn't bad at all. As the pilot of the Quinjet—and more importantly, as the exclusive pilot of Su Ye's personal aircraft—Black Widow had plenty of opportunities to be alone with him.

The Quinjet didn't even need a pilot. It had long been equipped with intelligent autopilot, allowing it to fly smoothly without manual control.

For example, during their previous transatlantic flight, when it was just her and Su Ye aboard, she had switched on autopilot and then…

Unfortunately, on the return trip, they had two extra passengers—and minors, at that. So Black Widow had no choice but to follow the flight manual and quietly pilot the plane, ensuring that their first airborne experience was a safe and smooth one.

"Uncle Su, where are we going?"

Widow asked while piloting, her voice lazy like a cat that hadn't had enough sleep.

A cat that's tired from playing and hasn't had enough sleep tends to be grumpy.

Behind her, the Maximoff twins gazed at her with admiration and envy.

'This sister is so cool. She can even fly such a complex aircraft. I wonder if I could learn too?' Wanda mused to herself.

At this point, she no longer needed to pilot a plane—she could fly freely on her own and even use her magic to control aircraft in battle.

She just hadn't mentally adjusted to her new reality yet.

Meanwhile, Pietro was feeling a little uneasy.

He didn't like sitting in a plane—he wanted to be running. In fact, he was convinced that, if they were flying over land instead of water, his running speed wouldn't even be much slower than the jet itself.

'I wonder… could I run on water?'

Pietro suddenly had an exhilarating thought—if he could run on water, he could travel around the world on his own.

Running across the ocean—he could outrun even a raging storm.

The two kids were, after all, still children. Their minds were filled with curiosity for new experiences, and they were oblivious to the subtle undertones in Black Widow's voice.

Su Ye cleared his throat lightly. "We're going to Los Angeles. Let's take them out for some fun first."

At Disneyland in Los Angeles, Gwen and Mai Shiranui were already having a blast. These two kids would probably enjoy it too.

They had gone through too much hardship in their lives. If they didn't get some positive experiences soon, they might develop in an unhealthy direction.

The Scarlet Witch, one of the most powerful figures in Marvel, ultimately fell in love with a machine. That was an outcome Su Ye simply could not accept.

Unfortunately, his 'girlfriend card' system hadn't drawn the Scarlet Witch. If it had, he wouldn't even have to worry about this issue.

For now, he had to take early precautions—reshape Wanda's personality and social interactions, eliminating any possibility of her falling for Vision from the very beginning.

Vision was just a robot—what did he even have? What kind of messed-up romance was that supposed to be?

From Captain America: Civil War to Avengers: Infinity War, just look at what Vision actually did.

In Civil War, he almost killed War Machine. In Infinity War, he became a complete liability—useless in battle but somehow still had time to flirt.

In Su Ye's view, a robot like that had absolutely no reason to exist.

"Maybe… there's really no need for him to exist at all!"

Su Ye's lips curled slightly.

The Quinjet was fast. In less than two hours, they had flown from Sokovia to the vicinity of Disneyland in Los Angeles.

Su Ye didn't let the Quinjet land, avoiding unnecessary attention. Instead, he simply opened the rear hatch and flew down with the twins.

"Wow! We're flying!"

In midair, Wanda clung to Su Ye's arm, excitedly shouting.

This kind of flight felt completely different from being inside an airplane. For someone experiencing it for the first time, it was nearly impossible to stay calm.

Pietro was no exception.

Compared to Wanda, who was holding onto Su Ye's arm, Pietro was being carried by the shoulder with just one hand, making the sensation even more intense for him.
