Meanwhile Thalia and her group had managed to destroy more of the chains while Percy and the others continued to fight, but the last chains were being protected by the monsters and were having strong trouble reaching them, when a cyclops managed to knock her to the ground.

She was very sore from the Cyclops' attack, especially in her arm when she used her shield to block the attack, though that lessened the force of the blow as the appearance of Medusa's face made the monster hesitate when she deployed it, just as the Cyclops was about to hit her.

However, by the monster's blow she was sent flying a few meters and had released the shield, but before the monster could attack her again to kill her, a trident crashed into the cyclops, taking it away from it to collide with other monsters, killing them with the force of the impact.

That took several by surprise and although Zeus' daughter wanted to thank whoever saved her, she knew that it was not the time, nor that she could stay there, so she got up in spite of the pain to look for his spear and shield to go and destroy the next chain.

"Hestia help them, walls of fire are not the only thing you can do" said the Jackson hoping that his aunt would listen to him so that she would help the demigods who were fighting with swords and spears against the monsters not only creating walls of fire to stop them or prevent them from attacking the campers, while he continued to use the Khopesh to fight the titan, although the shield that had been retracted had not yet been deployed again because that was the hand with which he used the egyptian weapon "They are your family, Hestia!"

The last words were spoken in a low voice, although the demigod said them harshly, they seemed to make the goddess act because Jackson saw walls of fire rising among the monsters, burning some of them, but also making the number of monsters that the demigods fought against less thanks to the wall that separated them from the other monsters that came out of the doors of death. Besides preventing the demigods from being attacked by the rest of the monsters trapped in front of the doors.

"At least it's something," the adult demigod commented upon noticing that, although with annoyance that Hestia refuses to use more violence, even if it is a fight or combat against monsters

"Do you think that pathetic goddess will save you?!" exclaimed the Titan because he had heard some of his words while continuing to attack him

"In addition to being an idiot, deaf," replied the demigod who continued to dodge Hyperion's attacks or block them with the Khophes, at the same time that he concentrated strong currents of icy cold against the titan and on himself that was also part of the reason why he was not burned by the titan's power, in addition to the fact that his comment annoyed the titan again.

On the one hand, his power and abilities were much greater than those of the young son of Poseidon who tries to destroy another of the chains, so his resistance to the elements was much greater than that of the teen boy. On the other hand, the air had become so frigid throughout the place that a mortal dressed in early autumn clothing would experience the onset of both hypothermia and frostbite before being able to withstand the cold for a minute, demigods in general may be a little more resistant than mortals, but if it weren't for the flames of Hestia or the heat emanating from the Titan itself they would be in the same situation in a few more minutes while the air currents were much colder over Jackson and Hyperion.

But Jackson was taking advantage of the shock of the icy currents that he continued to send non-stop against the titan, , because when he collided with the strong heat emanating from the son of Uranus and Gaia, plus the humidity that the demigod was generating on the camp within the clouds, it made it easier for him to control the storm so not only snow fell on the entire camp, freezing rain was also falling along with the snow and most of it was being directed towards Hyperion

But it also generated a good amount of vapor against when the icy air, rain, and snow crashed into Hyperion, and feeling that moisture crashing against his skin only helped the demigod, sharpening his senses and giving him a constant boost

"So much change for nothing," however, that was what Jackson said with some annoyance, thinking about the situation and remembering something else as he blocked another attack from Gaia's son, while also drawing the water into the air along with the icy winds so that they would be directed with more speed and force against Hyperion, causing him to stumble for a moment which he took advantage of to cause another wound in one of his arms.

Only that the demigod's attention despite being focused and fighting with great skill, as well as prowess against the son of Gaia, was still divided between the campers fighting the monsters escaping from Tartarus and other thoughts. However, deciding to make things easier for the campers, he also sent strong currents of air against the gates of death that some monsters such as some cyclops and other kinds of giants tried to force open to make it easier for the others to leave, in this way Jackson made it difficult for them to escape to invade the camp.

"And the drama queen is even more paranoid in these years," Jackson commented, thinking of a certain ruling god of Olympus, while internally he complained because he couldn't really let go in this fight to end it quickly without attracting the attention of the youngest of Rhea's children, or other deities.

Not without attracting even more of their unnecessary attention or their nosy and/or sometimes stupid actions, as well as spiteful for their egos, pride, and arrogance.

Otherwise he would have already ended this, although in doing so he would probably earn the anger of some members of the Olympic council if he caused the destruction of their huts as collateral damage, even though Camp Half Blood was being attacked, although that was not his main concern but to cause the death of nymphs if he destroyed their sources of life or of satyrs, as well as demigods for that same collateral damage he could cause.

"Why couldn't they show up in the Nevada desert?" the demigod complained aloud as he continued to fight, taking a quick look at Doors of Death

"AAHHH!" the titan shouted angrily, finally noticing that the demigod he was fighting was not fully focused on fighting him, as if demigod did not consider him a serious threat to him

"That is all you can do?... I expected more," Jackson said with a bored tone seeking to provoke the titan which he achieved when he attacked him with more fury with his sword covered in strong flames, but the titan's fury only grew when the demigod made the weapon of Egyptian origin disappear after dodging another thrust, becoming one of the rings on his hand before another ring turned into another sword

A four-foot-long sword, a bright coloration of dark grayish-bronze, it exudes a dark feeling, death, and tragedy, as well as a sense of titanic power. And seeing the titan's eyes enlarge at the sight of her in his hands along with growing fury in those flaming eyes, Jackson couldn't help but say, ""What do you want her back, I'm sorry, but I think she fits my hand perfectly"

That only caused more fury in the Titan when he saw it in the hands of the demigod "YOU DARE TO USE IT, YOU DAMN DEMIGOD!"

"Hey, it's not my fault you didn't put competent guards around him" said the black-haired man pointing out that that sword was in the titan's position and he stole it from the Lord of the East before leaving through the doors.

"Keep shooting!"

"I need more arrows!"

"Me too!"

"They're running out!"

"I ran out of arrows!"

The demigods, huntresses, satyrs and nymphs who were using the bows against the monsters to help the demigods who rushed to fight them, as well as to support Percy and Thalia to destroy the chains of which only two were missing, but still could not reach them due to the monsters that protected them

But despite being focused on them, Chiron like others continued to pay attention to the fight between Poseidon's adult son and the titan from time to time. Only that the centaur was one of the few who realized the way the demigod was fighting, noticing that he was not one hundred percent focused on his fight against the ancient Lord of the East, which on the one hand the centaur agreed with because the half-blood was still attentive to any attack that the monsters tried to throw at him, attacks that had decreased drastically against him, but there was no lack of the occasional monster that tried to throw something like an arrow or a rock at him.

However, it was also a reason why he would scold any of his students for being overconfident against an adversary, for not really being focused on his opponent, because that son of the sea seemed much more relaxed than anyone in his situation should be.

But this same demigod had proven to be at a level of combat prowess that the centaur hadn't seen in too long, but that only raised more questions that Chiron tried to leave for later as he continued to fire his remaining arrows and make every shot count. Not to mention that the centaur, like Zoé, realized that he was still helping the half-bloods and was responsible for stopping the monsters from leaving through the Doors of death with the powerful winds that pushed them back

Only the centaur was hardly the only one with questions about that son of Poseidon, but the seventh son of Kronos had also noticed that for a moment Hestia seemed affected as if something had shaken her and that was before she created another wall of fire between the monsters, burning some of them and limiting how many could leave through the gates to invade the camp and fight the demigods.

That surprised him, as did Dionysus who continued to summon vine vines to trap monsters, immobilize them or squeeze them to death, being more effective against monsters such as empusai or dracanea, although the cold made it difficult as well

"YOU DARE TO USE IT, YOU DAMN DEMIGOD!"

The Titan's furious scream once again attracted the attention of several campers, hunters, and monsters, only for him to see the son of Uranus attack with a fury as destructive as it murders the demigod, but the man was equal in combat, though most found it difficult to tell him apart by how fast they moved, with several seeing only blurs of the fight between the two.

Besides, several unconsciously moved away, taking a greater distance, due to the growing sensation of heat that crashed against the icy winds, but that was slowly gaining against the cold due to the fury of the Titan, while the ground beneath Hyperion's feet was red hot and his surroundings were blackening.

But then the centaur noticed that Zoe along with several huntresses who had run out of arrows, a little more than a dozen, threw themselves into fighting against the monsters that guarded the last chains , although most of them went to help Thalia, only Zoe and two other female huntresses went to help Percy to destroy the other chain and help the other male demigods

The fight between the titan and the demigod continued, but now the green-eyed man was fighting more fervently by focusing more on that fight because of the attacks that Hyperion gave with a new level of fury, and after seeing that the huntresses went to back up the demigods, although some seemed to do so reluctantly, only to see that most of them went to help Thalia, which would have made him roll his eyes at the behavior of the hunters in another situation.

What? That's it, gramps? , is old age catching up with you?, do you feel oblivion approaching?, do you feel that you are fading?" Jackson continued to provoke her to make a mistake and take advantage of it, but demonstrating her skill with the straightest and longest sword, which is better than in her handling with the trident and the kopesh while her soles of her feet were quite uncomfortable in the rising heat. (Note 1)

Only Hyperion was so focused on his fury against his opponent, emanating the most power wanting not even ashes left of him, but Jackson kept countering the heat with increasingly strong and icy winds by pouring more of his own power into the storm, increasing the rain that fell like ice on the titan.

But the black-haired man knowing that he had to be attentive to if the titan decides to take his true form as the gods can do, but they don't do it because of their prides or if they were weakened... mainly because of the first reason, the titan would could take his divine form because of how angry he was and cause the death of many campers just to kill him, so he knew that he had to act now. And despite having slight trouble counteracting its heat and fire, he played a card up his sleeve that didn't require the elements.

However, during the fight between the Lord of the East and the son of Poseidon, the cold currents became unbearable for the demigods and monsters that Hestia had to increase the strength of her flames and put up another wall of fire to provide warmth to the campers and hunters, but moments later the goddess had to drastically reduce the strength of her flames when the heat surpassed the cold for a few moments, so the son of the king of the seas intensified the power of the storm again, while the titan intensified his power by anger and hatred.

"Shit!"

"Damn!"

"This is ridiculous!" demigods complained at the constant change of drastic temperatures, but then Hestia as well as others noticed something near where Thalia and other demigods had been fighting to destroy another of the chains.

Hyperion, who was blinded in his desire to destroy Poseidon's son, did not see when something was directed to attack him from behind at high speed.

"AAAHHHH!" the titan shouted in pain as Jackson's trident that he had previously thrown to save Thalia, pierced his stomach from the back thanks to the demigod summoning him at will.

But just at that moment from the free hand of the demigod another of the rings was transformed, but this time it was into a great hammer-axe, the head was large and double with a long handle, with one side being the one of the head a large axe while the other of a large hammer or maso, of the color of dark steel, but it seemed to have various engravings along the weapon.

And without missing the opportunity to take advantage of the Titan's lack of concentration, the demigod stuck the axe in his chest, driving it from one side of his torso to the other.

Note 1

In general, a khopesh is a short sword that measures about 50-60 cm in length (although smaller specimens exist) and is made up of three main parts: a hilt of about 18 cm, a straight unedged section of about 15 to 30 cm and a crescent-shaped end, with a sharp outer edge, which measured between 30 and 40 cm. It lacked guards on the hilt and served efficiently in its time, given the type of defensive weapons (armor and shields) it was up against.

So the Khopesh is shorter than Anaklusmos which is three feet long in the books (91 cm approximately), while the Backbiter is supposed to be about four feet long (1.21 m approximately)
