Chapter 452 - Chapter 269 County Government Issues Law

The "Yijian Records" was written by Hong Mai during the Southern Song era.

The title is derived from "Yu the Great traveled and saw it, Bo Yi knew of it and named it, Yijian heard of it and recorded it," and it places itself in comparison to the "Classic of Mountains and Seas."

The content of the book is convoluted, covering dreams, feats, karmic retribution, spirits and Ghost Gods, medicine, demons and witches, Buddhist and Daoist cult practices, as well as customs and traditions. Most of it is mystical and strange, bordering on fabricated and fantastical.

Of course, many of them are folktales that shouldn't be taken seriously.

The "Yijian Records" in question is obviously ancient, with its annotations smeared and vague, mostly marked as "false" with the occasional "doubt," followed by many speculations.

Moreover, the narrative often relates to Fengshui.
