Chapter 310 - Chika Fujiwara's Escape

"That kind of thing is still unacceptable! It should only happen after marriage!"

About ten minutes later, Chika Fujiwara opened the door to the hotel room, her face flushed red as she rushed out, shouting these embarrassing words.

Her clothes were still intact, but Shin and Hayasaka in the room were somewhat disheveled—no wonder Chika Fujiwara was so embarrassed that she fled the room in a hurry.

At first, Hayasaka had used the excuse of "conducting a full-body check on Shin" to keep Chika Fujiwara staring blankly, unable to retort in the moment.

But then Hayasaka's actions became increasingly bold, to the point where she and Shin were rolling around on the bedsheets. It was only then that Chika Fujiwara realized what was happening.

—Oh no, I've been tricked!

So, after enduring the embarrassment of watching Hayasaka and Shin flirt for about ten minutes, Chika Fujiwara finally snapped back to reality just before the two were about to cross the line.

Then, shouting the words from earlier, she fled the room, not even bothering to close the door behind her.

This clearly highlighted the difference between Eriri and Chika Fujiwara—if it had been Eriri, who had read countless doujinshi and was a doujinshi artist herself, she probably would have started taking reference material on the spot.

Chika Fujiwara, while not as clueless about such matters as Kaguya Shinomiya, still believed that such things shouldn't be done so early.

But Hayasaka clearly wasn't being forced; in fact, she seemed to be the more active party. Chika Fujiwara didn't feel she had the right to stop Hayasaka.

So, with her mind in complete chaos, the only thing she could do was shout and run away.

"Fujiwara-san, you really should develop the habit of closing the door behind you."

Hayasaka, as if she had anticipated Chika Fujiwara's escape, walked over to the door, closed it, and locked it again.

"So, the only thing you have to say is about closing the door?"

Shin, sitting on the edge of the bed, couldn't help but laugh at Hayasaka's remark—it seemed everything was within Hayasaka's expectations.

"Well, Fujiwara-san is quite stubborn. If we didn't do this, she would definitely keep bothering you in the future."

Hayasaka shook her head. Because of Kaguya Shinomiya, she was also acquainted with Chika Fujiwara and knew about her somewhat troublesome personality.

A simple rejection would only lead to Chika Fujiwara persistently pestering them, so Hayasaka decided to give her a shock. This way, Chika Fujiwara wouldn't continue to bother Shin and Hayasaka.

Or at least, she wouldn't bother them for a while.

As for when she might return, it would depend on how long it took Chika Fujiwara to erase the memory of today's events from her mind.

"That's true."

Shin also laughed. He knew exactly what kind of person Chika Fujiwara was.

Although Chika Fujiwara was a beautiful girl, being constantly pestered and investigated by her in various ways would make anyone uncomfortable. So, using this method to make Chika Fujiwara behave was a good idea.

"Well, with Fujiwara-san taken care of, should we continue what we were doing?"

After answering Shin, Hayasaka turned around, her clothes still disheveled, and blinked at him.

Though her expression remained calm, the look in her eyes was something Shin could easily understand.

"You've already locked the door, and now you're asking if we should continue?" Shin glanced at the locked door and gestured for Hayasaka to come closer.

Hayasaka smiled slightly and quickly closed the distance between them.

...

"Ugh... being a maid is so exhausting."

While Shin was busy with Hayasaka at the hotel, Gabriel had already arrived at Shin's house after school, changed into a maid outfit, and started her maid duties under Tohru's supervision.

However, Gabriel was a lazy person, so after just a short while of cleaning the windows, she immediately started complaining, wanting to slack off.

Especially when she saw the high-end computer in Shin's bedroom, she couldn't help but feel tempted.

Seriously, she had been using the same laptop for over a year at home and had long wanted to replace it with a new one.

She just never had the money.

"Ugh, I should have asked for a computer when I sold the trumpet. Shin probably wouldn't have minded the extra cost..."

Gabriel thought regretfully as she vigorously wiped the glass.

At the time, she hadn't realized how wealthy Shin was. It wasn't until she came to his house that she realized Shin's wealth far exceeded her imagination.

After all, someone who could afford to keep so many maids definitely wasn't short on money. The cost of a computer probably wouldn't even make him blink.

What Gabriel didn't notice was that Tohru had been secretly observing her while she worked.

Tohru had always been wary of Gabriel—after all, Gabriel could see her dragon horns and tail despite the cognitive distortion, which made Tohru uneasy.

If Gabriel's intentions were solely directed at her, Tohru wouldn't have cared much. But Tohru suspected that Gabriel had some ulterior motive for getting close to Shin.

In Tohru's eyes, Shin, like herself, was a being far stronger than the average person in this world. It was only natural that he would attract the attention of those with hidden agendas.

And in Tohru's mind, Gabriel was one of those "people with ulterior motives." So, for her master's safety, she had to figure out Gabriel's true intentions!

What Tohru didn't know was that Shin was already fully aware of Gabriel's background. She also didn't realize that Gabriel's reason for working for Shin was simply to earn money.

If earning money counted as an ulterior motive, then she wasn't entirely wrong.

Just as Tohru was observing Gabriel, the sound of the door opening came from the entrance—Shin had returned.

Gabriel, who now knew what was expected of her as a maid, paused for a moment, then immediately dropped the cloth she was holding and went to greet Shin.

Compared to the physically exhausting task of cleaning windows, greeting Shin was obviously much easier. It was only natural that Gabriel would make this choice.

However, after standing up, Gabriel thought for a moment, then pulled out a halo from her pocket.

It was the proof of her identity as an angel. It had become moldy and blackened from long disuse, but today she had cleaned it thoroughly, restoring its radiant appearance.

Since she had seen Tohru wearing dragon horns and a tail earlier, Gabriel naturally assumed that Shin might have a thing for cross-species cosplay.

If he liked a maid cosplaying as a dragon, then surely a real angel like herself would satisfy him too, right?

With this thought in mind, Gabriel placed the halo on her head and eagerly went to the entrance to greet Shin.

Leaving Tohru behind, staring in shock.
