Obsidia was relentless—despite her struggles against Grimhild Yorgana—she continued bashing the Witch of Destruction with a devastating assault.
Soaring through the air with rocket boosters, a flurry of punches came her way, but Grimhild evaded them all with precision. Every action she took was calculated and prestige, avoiding her attacks with refined accuracy.
Obsidia couldn't land a single blow. She was only punching at the air at this point.
"..."
Quiet as a church mouth, the Golem changed its tactics and swerved to the right, leaving behind a trail of smoke from her rocket thrusters. Grimhild remained impassive, casting another spell.
"Wulta Scaides!"
An array of pressurized water blades launched from her magic circle, bombarding the Golem with a series of razor-sharp gashes. First, her arms and legs were severed from her body before the head finished last.
It appeared she had died, but in an instant, the Golem repaired itself back together after its engine erupted with magic power.
"Authority of Idunn, initiated."
"The God of Immortality?" Questioned Grimhild with a curious glint in her eyes.
"Initiating God of War, Tyr, Authority."
Lowering her brows, the Witch of Destruction lifted her hand and shot out multiple miniature suns.
"Fronyir!"
Each one was packed with enough heat that could rival, or even surpass nuclear fusion.
Obsidia stood in place as a red light overflowed from her hands. A law was slowly being compressed into a spear. This was the Absolute, Unquestionable manifestation of War—being that of Tyr's spear.
It had the property to never miss its target; run away, and it will only chase you down. Alter reality to dodge it and it'll override your attempt. Create magical barriers to block it, and it'll only pierce through them—regardless of its toughness. It was Tyr's ultimate weapon that created an absolute law that it could never be dodged. Such was the authority of the God of War.
Without warning, the Golem of Sanctity tossed the spear through the air and pierced through the miniature suns, causing them to explode, but to Grimhild's surprise; it vanished.
"Hm?" Widening her eyes, the Witch of Destruction realized what Obsidia was doing. The spear cut across time and space, transcending the infinite-dimensional structure of Yggdrasil until it reached the void outside reality. "The Yorgana System...?"
The spear reached the Yorgana System, piercing through the layers of the infinite abyss until it reached the core.
Grimhild could survive the complete destruction of her mind, body, soul, and even nucleus, but there was one thing she could never return from, and that was the destruction of the Yorgana System. It was the source of her life.
"So you've learned how to use the Destruction Magic I installed inside your engine, and you infused it with the spear?" Despite the circumstances, Grimhild remained impassive. Obsidia was dangerous and unpredictable; even more unpredictable than Grimhild since she was created to be that way.
But there was something wrong. Grimhild seemed far too calm for the situation at hand.
"..." Obsidia peered beyond Yggdrasil and watched her spear traverse through the endless layers of the abyss until she could find it; the core. "Yorgana System detected. Target's chance of annihilation: 100% certainty."
Beyond the infinite abyss was a massive object floating in the void. It resembled that of a star emitting giant pools of magical energy. Tyr's spear continued onwards and aimed for the center, but its momentum had been sapped away.
It was as if a barrier protected the Yorgana System, preventing all phenomena from reaching its core, but in reality, it was more than that. The Yorgana System was surrounded by Destruction Magic.
"Success Rate: 0%..." Concluded Obsidia, shocked by these turns of events.
"Did you honestly think just because you found the Yorgana System, it would be more than enough to kill me, Obsidia?"
"I don't understand." Proclaimed the Golem, doubting its calculations.
"How sad, you forgotten all the backup plans your master created for each possible, and impossible situation." Grimhild was a cautious, meticulous individual, known to set up failsafes for each outcome that could potentially kill her. She was virtually unbeatable in terms of planning ahead.
"Spear of War neutralized. Failed to eliminate Yorgana System."
Beyond Yggdrasil, the Yorgana System began adjusting its flaws. After witnessing the Spear of War traverse the layers of the infinite abyss, it decided to create more; an innumerable amount of them where "infinite" would be meager in comparison, and it could continue this process indefinitely as long Grimhild's enemies found a way.
"Yorgana System no longer detected. Calculations of elimination have dropped below negative."
"Do you see the difference in our power, or are you too stubborn to admit defeat?" Dozens of magic circles gathered around Grimhild as she pointed her staff at the Golem of Sanctity. "Surely I didn't create you to be so foolish, Obsidia. You should know when you're outclassed."
Chroliosa watched everything with wide eyes, waiting for any possible attacks. She's been on the defensive for a while, constantly using magic to create magical barriers to ward off their spells, but she can only last for so long.
Needless to say, the Spirit of Time was growing exhausted.
"I'm no longer able to use Mana Control, it's burning through my mana supply, but I really wish I could hear what they're talking about..." Without mana control, her senses were average, leaving Chroliosa wallowing in curiosity.
"Regardless of our power gap, I shall not admit defeat. There is a weakness to everyone, including you, Master Grimhild."
"Is that so?" Grimhild said with a grin." Then exploit that weakness of mine, Obsidia. If what you say is true, then you have to back it up."
The Golem's expression remained unchanged as they slowly lifted their arm, transforming it into a cannon once again.
"Very well. Utilizing Authority of Sunna; Heat of 1,000 Suns."
Sunna, the God of the Sun. He was a powerful deity with flames that could burn away all life and matter in an instant. Trying to take such an attack head-on would be foolish, so Grimhild created her own.
The dozen magic circles swirled clockwise as they slowly merged together, forming a much larger magical formula in front of her staff. Grimhild's mana shot through the roof—rising to levels that could match the Golem, blow for blow.
"Gotta take cover...!" Chroliosa ran far away to gather distance, shielding herself with defensive magic.
"!!!" Obsidia launched Heat of 1,000 Suns as a crimson flame shot out from her arm cannon. Its flames were hot enough to incinerate the Witch of Destruction, nucleus and all.
"Altrunta Magnes."
Her magic circle became a rainbow as a massive, colorful beam of mana shot forward, colliding with Obsidia's spell. Its power also rivaled that of 1,000 suns, but it appeared to be stronger.
Grimhild managed to nullify the crimson flame with her spell as it traversed forward, slamming into the Golem's body.
"...System, malfunctioning."
Altrunta Magnes pushed Obsidia away as she was caught in front of the attack, unable to break free from its acceleration. The Golem could feel her Authorities vanquish, one by one, as the spell overrode her Engine.
"You've lost this bout, Obsidia." Grimhild exerted more mana into her spell, empowering it even more. "Your engine is compromised of countless magical inscriptions I gave you to use the Elohim's Authorities. Without it, you'll lose the main source of your power and be an average Golem who should bend to their master's will."
Obsidia's emotionless visage mutated into that of a frown.
"I will not become your slave!" She shouted in retaliation.
"You will." Said the witch, boldfaced. "It will be your punishment for defying me and using your powers for irrational purposes. I gave you the ability to distinguish right from wrong, and you've chosen to be immoral."
"I have a will of my own, and you cannot take it away!"
Through willpower alone, a possibility was created. Obsidia ceased her momentum and stopped the spell with her bare hands, pushing it back through pure, physical strength.
"What a stubborn Golem." By applying more mana into her spell, it eventually overpowered the Golem of Sanctity and exploded with ferocity. Obsidia could feel her body almost break apart as she fell from the sky, losing the ability to fly. She was out for the count.
"It seems I'll have to reprogram you from the very start. What a tiresome Golem." Grimhild slowly descended to the ground, approaching the unconscious Golem with a look of pity. Sighing underneath her breath, the Witch of Justice crouched down to place her hand against her body.
"Healing magic won't work on a Golem's body, I'll need my tools to repair you." Turning to face Chroliosa who slowly approached her master from afar, Grimhild stood back up and smiled. "Perfect timing, Chroliosa. I have a job for you."
"Master Grimhild, I have some questions- wait, a job?"
With a sadistic smirk, the witch walked past her spirit, tittering under her breath.
"Carry Obsidia back to the surface, will you? Be careful, she weighs more than a bag of rocks."
"C-Carry Obsidia to the surface? Isn't she made of metal and all sorts of heavy material? Do you want me to break my back?! How unfair! What if she comes alive and decides to kill me!?"
"Then that will be your problem."
"What?!?"
