Nova stood in silence, his expression calm and composed as he operated his system interface. The glowing translucent screen hovered in front of him, displaying shifting data, coordinates, and logistical information. He navigated through it with practiced ease, waiting.

Then—ping—a notification flashed across the interface. A message from Harry.

HARRY: Hey Nova! Everything and everyone's ready to move out for the multiversal job. We're all packed, briefed, and good to go. Sirius will be coming too, along with Bill Weasley and his warding team. They'll be in charge of setting up and supervising the security around the mansion site.

Nova read the message, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

NOVA: Alright. Tell them to get ready. I'm opening the arrival zone now.

With a few more taps on the interface, a low hum filled the air. Lines of runes and energy markers formed a large circular pattern on the ground before him—an arrival platform pre-designed for multiversal transport. The air above it shimmered like heat on pavement.

Moments later, a bright flash lit up the area. The light was intense but brief, vanishing as quickly as it came. In its place, a group of people now stood.

Nova stepped forward, studying them. Each individual bore an air of readiness—experienced, confident, and prepared for the unknown.

The man in front immediately stood out. He was tall and lean, dressed in an elegant black coat with silver detailing. Though his frame was gaunt, there was a sharp intensity to his eyes, and his posture was straight with natural nobility. He stepped forward and extended his hand with the smooth grace of someone used to commanding attention.

"Greetings," he said with a hint of dry charm. "Harry may have already mentioned me. I'm Sirius Black. I'll be overseeing the warding and contractual aspects of the mansion project. Bill and his team are handling the technical side of the enchantments."

Nova met his hand with a firm shake, his own demeanor calm but assertive.

"I'm Nova Ashbourne. The Trader." he replied smoothly. "Welcome to my world. So let's move to the place of your work ."

Behind Sirius, Bill Weasley stepped forward next, runic tattoos faintly glowing beneath his sleeves, his team following in tight formation. Each carried specialized magical equipment, their expressions serious but eager.

Sirius glanced around at the unfamiliar but strangely fascinating world they'd arrived in. "So this is different world? I can feel it in air, this magic feels different."

Nova smiled. " Let's get to the place of work."

Nova looked at the time and stepped out. He took out a X shaped metal thing and gave it everybody.

Bill looked at the X in his hand," Is this a portkey?"

Nova nodded," Indeed it's a portkey to the place of work."

Wanda is really a magical genius. To think she could create portkey's within just a few days of getting access to the library.

Shaking his head, Nova said," Just tap on the center and portkey will activate."

Sirius took the lead and tapped on his portkey and disappeared. Seeing this others simultaneously tapped on the portkey's and disappeared.

As the last of his group disappeared in a shimmer of magic, Nova exhaled and tapped the center of his portkey.

The world folded.

It wasn't like traditional teleportation or even spatial warping. Portkey travel had its own chaotic flavor. It grabbed reality like a rug and yanked hard. Nova felt the pull across his navel, a sharp tug that wasn't painful but certainly unpleasant. Color bled from the world, light and shadow twisting together in a vortex of motion, and the wind roared in his ears even though he wasn't moving through air.

Then—impact.

His boots struck solid ground, and for a split second, the world spun. Nova staggered but caught himself with his peak human strength, adjusting his center of mass just before he could fall.

He straightened slowly, gaze lifting to take in his surroundings.

They were in the courtyard of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, the iconic mansion looming ahead, modernized with high-tech security systems visible in subtle layers beneath the classical structure. The sky was clear, the grounds well-kept, and distant voices could be heard through the open field.

Dozens of figures stood in formation across the grand lawn. From seasoned X-Men like Cyclops, Storm, Beast, and Jean Grey, to younger faces like Jubilee, Iceman, and Nightcrawler. Across from them, the Brotherhood of Mutants waited with their own presence—Mystique, Toad, Blob, Pyro, and Avalanche among them, some with arms crossed, others scanning the newcomers with wary curiosity.

Behind them, but no less imposing, stood the elegant and powerful representatives of the Hellfire Club—cloaked in style and superiority. Nova easily picked out Selene, lounging with dark amusement, Donald Pierce with his mechanical arms folded, and of course, Emma Frost, poised and queenly in her iconic white ensemble, her gaze as sharp as ever.

At the very front, three men stood side by side—Professor Charles Xavier, his expression serene and composed in his hoverchair; Erik Lehnsherr, better known as Magneto, arms calmly behind his back; and the ever-slick, dangerous Sebastian Shaw, looking like he owned the mansion already.

Nova smirked faintly and stepped forward.

Sebestian Shaw looked at Magneto," So this is the spatial travels item that your daughter created huh? It have a very high strategic value."

Magneto replied with smug and proud looks his eyes," Indeed it's called portkey. She is now working to create an enhanced version of it."

Charles interjected the conversation," We can talk about it later, let's first greet the guests and the ones that will work."

Then he turned and offered a calm, welcoming nod as Nova approached. "Nova Ashbourne. It's good to finally meet you in person."

Nova returned the gesture with composed confidence. "Professor Xavier. Magneto. Mr. Shaw."

Magneto gave a faint smile, hands resting behind his back. "Nova. It's been a while. I see you're still full of surprises."

Sebastian Shaw folded his arms, eyeing Nova with polite curiosity. "Let's hope those surprises are useful ones."

Nova allowed himself a brief smile. "I don't waste time with anything less."

He took a step to the side and gestured to the two men who stepped forward from behind him. "Allow me to introduce Sirius Black. He'll be overseeing the warding, contracts, and enforcement protocols for the project."

Sirius stepped forward, his presence composed and assured. "A pleasure," he said with a nod to each of them. "I'll be ensuring everything is sealed and secure."

Nova continued, "And this is Bill Weasley, the head of our enchantment team. He'll be handling all structural and environmental warding on-site."

Bill gave a respectful nod, the faint glow of runes beneath his sleeves catching the light. "We just need to review the terrain and parameters. After tbat my team will begin the setup immediately."

Xavier smiled slightly. "Excellent. Then let's discuss how best to integrate your work into our existing infrastructure."

Nova simply replied, "Lead the way."

----

A few hours later, Sirius put a magical enhanced page on the table and then he pointed his wand at the drawing and it released light and constructed 3D model of the entire mansion and the surroundings.

Seeing lightly surprised looks, he smiled and said," This is the drawing of the entire mansion and it's surrounding area."

He then turned his wand and a dome covered the entire mansion," This will be the ward dome that will be covering the mansion."

Charles nodded and asked," What wards will be creating? Can you tell us and their functions."

Sirius motioned towards Bill who started speaking," We will be adding many wards but I will only brief about only major wards.

So the wards will be- Spatial restrictions ward, as the name suggests this ward will prevent every space type magic or abilities in your case. But a very powerful person can overpower the ward.

Then other wards is Anti surveillance ward- to prevent any type of surveillance, whether it's magical or muggle. It will also prevent divination type of magic/ability.

Then we will be adding Malice sensing ward, basically this ward will alert if their are hostile presence near the five kilometres of diameter around the mansion.

These above will be passive and operating 24x7.

Then will be the defensive ward. This ward will be most troublesome to create but will be very powerful. This was given by Harry Potter to us. This ward will be combination of various wards.

These will need to be activated, in case of emergency.

First will be a physical dome which will resist both physical and magical damage.

Second will be golems. They are magical constructs that can defend and delay enough to evacuate it extreme cases.

Then their will be many other minor wards such as fire suppression wards, alert wards, etc."

Charles Xavier studied the 3D projection of the mansion, his fingers steepled beneath his chin. He nodded slowly, his calm voice carrying a thoughtful tone. "It's an impressive array of protections. And a wise approach—layered, with both passive and reactive defenses."

Beast leaned forward slightly, adjusting his glasses as he examined the magical model with intellectual curiosity. "The malice sensing ward is particularly fascinating. It functions similarly to a wide-range psychic scan, but without the mental strain or ethical concerns. Efficient."

Storm crossed her arms, eyes narrowed slightly in contemplation. "And the spatial restriction—how exact is it? Will it affect our teleporters, like Kurt or Illyana?"

Bill gave a small nod. "It will. That's why we'll be adding a controlled access system—keyed to specific signatures. Your teleporters can be allowed through, but others will be blocked unless authorized. We'll sync it with the system Nova designed."

Nightcrawler blinked. "So I can still bamf inside, ja?"

Sirius gave a wry smile. "As long as you don't go rogue."

Kurt grinned sheepishly and raised his hands. "Never."

Emma Frost, arms crossed elegantly, tilted her head as she considered the dome above them. "And what about psychic interference? This mansion houses telepaths. Will these wards restrict us?"

Sirius shook his head. "No. Not unless someone attempts to mentally force their way into the mansion. We're not trying to stifle your own people. Just keep others out."

Selene arched a brow with a slow, amused smirk. "How democratic of you."

Nova gave her a pointed look but didn't comment, simply letting the exchange flow.

Magneto stepped forward slightly, his eyes flicking over the dome. "The golems. How are they triggered?"

Bill replied, "By intent-based activation. Either by one of the security heads, or by the mansion itself if it detects imminent threat beyond a certain threshold."

Pyro muttered under his breath. "Creepy magic robots."

Mystique gave him a light slap on the shoulder. "Less creepy than Sentinels."

Shaw, arms still folded, turned his gaze to Nova. "And who exactly gets access to this security system?"

Nova met his eyes. "The heads of the three groups—X-Men, Brotherhood, and Hellfire—plus me, Sirius, and Harry. Everyone else? Clearance levels and biometric approval."

That got a nod from Charles. "A shared responsibility. I can support that."

Magneto looked faintly amused. "So can I. Even if I don't trust Shaw not to snoop."

Shaw just smirked and didn't respond.

Jean finally spoke, her voice calm. "When can the warding begin?"

Bill glanced to his team, then to Nova. "As soon as we finish the walkaround and finalize anchor points. Shouldn't take more than a day or two before we begin weaving the core wards."

Nova nodded. "Then we'll get started."

The mood was steady. Professional. Grounded. Everyone had questions, but they also had purpose. For now, cooperation held strong.
