Chapter 12 - How about I sell her?

We arrived at the Park's old house. I got out of the car and stormed toward the door.

"Hana, wait. Calm down first. I know you're angry, and you have every reason to be, but you can't let your emotions get the best of you," Jiyeon said, standing in front of me, trying to calm me before we went inside.

"Okay, fine. I won't say or do anything to them. I'm just going upstairs to get my babies' belongings, then I'll leave. Okay?" I forced a smile.

"Okay, but I'm holding your hand for safety," she said, grabbing my hand and pulling me closer.

"Alright, let's go." I stretched my hand toward the door.

We entered the house, and halfway through, the maid rushed to meet us.

"Mrs. Hana, are the twins okay?" she asked, her voice full of worry and guilt.

"They're better now. Can you show me where their belongings are?" I said, trying to keep calm.

She led us through the hall, and as we reached the stairs, I was met with a shocking sight.

Jungwoo's ex-wife was sitting close to Madam Park, trying to soothe her.

My soon-to-be ex mother-in-law paced anxiously in the living room while Jungwoo sat on the opposite couch, his hands clenched, tapping his thumb on his forehead.

I looked at them with a blank face, then turned and headed upstairs to collect the twins' things.

When we came back downstairs, they all stood, eyes on me.

"Are the twins okay?" Madam Park asked cautiously.

"Umh! You've got some nerve asking if Ha-jun and Ha-eun are okay," I said, my expression cold and sharp.

"Hana, we know you have the right to be angry, but you can't talk to your elders like that," Jungwoo said, trying to sound authoritative.

I turned slowly, locking eyes with him, my gaze murderous.

"I suggest you shut your trap if you value that little cheap life of yours," I said, piercing him with my stare.

"You all had the nerve to feed my babies mi-eum. Fine, I get that—you're elders following your culture—but you went too far bringing a stranger near my babies when I clearly said no. And you, Jungwoo, you had the nerve to bring yourself and your ex-wife near them.

"What gives you—the sperm donor—the right to come near my children? Now you're playing the worried dad? Do you even know the twins are allergic to rose perfume? Your ex-wife is wearing some right now.

"I can't believe I even considered asking my lawyer to let you visit, but thanks to you, I changed my mind. Starting today, the twins have no relation to you.

"If I ever hear you come to my house and give my dad a hard time or even breathe in the direction of my family, I'll make your lives a living hell. I'll erase generations of your hard work without a trace.

"Do I make myself clear? Now, I'll take my leave. Enjoy the rest of your day," I said, turning to leave.

Suddenly, Gyuri's voice cut through me like a knife, making me wish I could put a bullet in her skull.

"Hana, I get that Jungwoo hurt you deeply, but you can't refuse the twins a chance to have their father in their lives. You can't punish the whole family because of your grudge against Jungwoo," she said, walking toward me, pretending to be innocent and caring.

She did not just say that. Now she's done it.

I tried not to get her involved, but I guess she's eager to be.

Should I kill her on the spot? Or maybe push her car off a cliff? No, no—that would be too quick. How about I sell her?

My dark thoughts were suddenly interrupted by Jiyeon's voice.

"What makes you qualified to talk to her like that? That's rich coming from someone who divorced my brother after facing a little hiccup and ran away to another country," Jiyeon said, her calm face replaced by fury.
