It was the skate park and it was packed to the brim as Millard Fillmore Middle School's graduation ceremony finished leaving a bunch of new teens with a lot of time to burn. So, they did everything a hip hop loving teen did at the time. Stream their sub par skate boarding and roller skating at various social media platforms which often if not all the times results in flops as they are focusing on their screens not their path.
But there is one odd pair just enjoying the little mishaps. " This is harder than fighting pixies." Grumbles a blonde, tall girl who is on a skateboard to a shorter boy with green tipped black hair.

" Give it some time, Rose. After all Rome wasn't built in a day." Consoles Jake. " I know, I know. But seriously I'm not finding skate boarding to be as fun as you, Trixie and Spud make it out to be." Says Rose. " Well, it could be something that you don't find as exhilarating as us which is normal as everyone has different preferences. Perhaps bicycling?" Says Jake.
" Well, I do know how to ride huntsbikes." Says Rose only to go over the skate slope before Jake could catch her but she uses her skills to land on her feet unscathed. Jake comes down rushing but Rose quickly gives a thumbs up showing that she's okay. " Okay, what's on your mind?" Asks Rose while looking at Jake in the eye. " Ah, in the morning I asked dad to teach me and Haley how to fight. But before we could even voice out our request he shut it down. Finally, he made a compromise by basically giving me Herculean tasks." Answers Jake.
" Hey, move from the ramp." Yells some random skater. " Shut up." Yells both Jake and Rose at the same time which intimidated the guy. Rose and Jake got down from the ramp. " Care to explain the Herculean tasks?" Asks Rose. " I need to convince my friends, my mom, my grandpa and Fu dog have to train with me along with Brad, you, Daisy and Stacey to train with me and if even one of us quits dad teaches no one." Explained Jake while his shoulders visibly slumped down.
But Jake's spirit is raised instantly as he feels a pair of soft lips over his own lips which are Rose's. Rose's kiss quickly turned into a French kiss for a brief moment but they broke it up as they were in a public place. " Sorry, felt like the appropriate thing to do at the moment said Rose while tugging her hair behind her left ear showcasing her double ear piercing.

" Huh, didn't notice your second set of ear piercings. Keeping secrets from me now are you?" Says Jake dramatically. " Just got them done yesterday using a piercing gun. Boy did they hurt. Signifying a new beginning of my life." Explained Rose while shuddering a little remembering the pain.
" Aw, that's beautiful." Said Jake and at that moment Jake's phone rang which was a call from Jonathan. Jake answered the call and Jonathan said," You can get them." And then disconnected the call. " Huh? What was that about? " Asks Rose confused. " I thought about wanting to get ear piercings same as you so that we would match and dad just called to say that he approves of me getting ear piercings." Explained Jake.
Rose raised her single finger to say something then puts it down and said," Oh, yeah. Omnipotent and omniscient beyond comprehension. So, do you wanna? Because let's be frank you will be rocking with or without the ear piercings." Says Rose. " Aw, thanks. You know what, let's not think of them now." Replied Jake. " Lookin good skating Rose gal." Says Trixie from behind while Spud was trailing from behind.
" Hey guys we need to talk." Says Jake and then proceeds to explain Jonathan's conditions for training under him. " So, let me get this straight. For you to go through inhumanely brutal training under Mr. Long you need to rope me, Trixie, Stacey, Danika and Brad. Yep, just stick to your regular training." Answers Spud.
" Spud, you will get a chance to study science under dad and Trixie you learn to kick ass I mean that's the only thing that's missing from your portfolio, yo." Says Jake. " Fine, we will try to not quit in ten minutes." Answers Trixie and Spud nods his head in positive. " But the main question is how we going to convince the rest? I mean Danika might be willing if you and Rose talk with her. You might be able to blackmail Brad using the weird dreamscape recording of him doing ballet dancing.
But Stacey Evergreen, she's a mystery that only Spud has solved and let's not forget that Daisy is a secret agent." Pointed out Trixie. " Yeah, Spud you got to tell us Stacey's sitch I mean the girl is one moment mean and bossy the other moment she is sweet." Asks Rose. " Well, since childhood her parents were absent in her life and she always kept hanging around the girls who owned the most expensive stuff same as her after all the little time her parents were around they always talked about things like status, lower class poor and so she being a child took their words as gospel.
Her middle school friends have now mostly mellowed out as you saw who they are dating now but Stacey's taking some time to break out of her mean mold as it's the only thing she has known her entire life. But, if I ask her she will agree after a lot of procrastinating but even her procrastinating time has decreased significantly." Explained Spud while beaming with pride.
Rose and Jake shrugs while they decide to follow Spud to Stacey's home. But when they reached Stacey's home they found a Stacey with a luggage looking hollow while movers moved her home's things on a mover van marked with the logo of National Bank. Spud runs forward and hugs Stacey which Stacey returned with shaky hands. " Stacey, what's wrong girl?" Asks Trixie while Jake and Rose waits to hear the explanation.
" Hey, gorgeous it's all right. Just let it out and don't worry I've got your back." Assures Spud. " I don't value you enough. But thanks nonetheless. My parents have gone missing due to massive scandals involving large scale monetary scams and money laundering. They have stolen approximately 9.5 Billion dollars in investor money while FBI has recovered 3 billion dollars but they were able to launder the rest and now they are missing with the money best guess is somewhere in Africa. I've got a massive 200 million dollars debt on my head due to loans that I co-signed under their persuasion. Those loans have legal jargons that basically have no way to nullify the loans in my name even if I declare bankruptcy and this loan is also hereditary. There's no one who can help me." Explained Stacey between sobs.
" Don't worry we will figure out a way." Assures Spud. Suddenly Stacey's face hardens and she gets out of Spud's embrace then says, " No, we won't Spud. Because we need to break up. You're good with tech real good and I can't let you ditch your future for an entitled brat like me. I'm not breaking up with you not because you're not good enough but because I'm not good enough for you." Says Stacey and at that moment the sound of a single person's applause fills the air.
Everyone looks at their back and sees that it's Mr. Long. " Yo dad, what're you doing here?" Asks Jake clearly bewildered. " Looking at a perfect case of character development. From entitled, mean snob to responsible young woman. It doesn't get more better than this. Stacey Evergreen, I have an offer for you." Says Jonathan and pulls out an katana with an intricately detailed scabbard.

" This is the Twilight Dragon. A hyperphase katana forged by my own hands from Starmetal. Accept this Katana I will make certain that all of your troubles are put to rest but you must walk the path of sword until you comprehend the purpose of your sword and your purpose to exist. Do you accept it?" Asks Jonathan Long.
Stacey extends her hands and grabs the sword with reverence as and says, " Can I still be with Spudinski?" Jonathan chuckled and answered," It was never my intention to tear you two apart." This makes Stacey smile a genuine smile. " Well, good luck getting Brad to agree and a piece of advice Jake, don't blackmail Brad as it won't have the intended effect." Advices Jonathan and he leaves by simply disappearing. " Well, Mr. J is sneaky." Says Trixie. " One down three more to go." Says Rose.
