Angel held Zane tightly as her body vibrated, and she cried.
"What's this? What is he? Like some kind of cannibal? That's my mother. I remember her fa— I remember her!" She sobbed.
"Shhh– I know, I know. It's strange. You want answers. We can only get answers if we keep looking. I need you to be strong, right now. For your mother. Do you think you can do that?" He asked.
She sniffled, the pain inside of her too hard to contain. Yet, she knew she had to keep it in.
"Ye-s. Let's do this."
Pulling out of his body, she turned, and looked up again.
"He didn't bury my mother's body," she said as she began to wipe off her tears with the back of her hand.
"Looks like it." Zane took a brief look at the picture, and then moved to the connecting door in the room.
"Wait!" She called out to him.
He stopped, and moved his head behind to look at her.
"Don't leave me," she said, as she jumped over some of the bones littered on the floor, and went to him.
