Chapter 270 - Chapter 270: Unexpected

"Ladies and gentlemen, this flight is scheduled to arrive at Chiba Airport in one hour. The current ground temperature is 29 degrees Celsius. Thank you."

The announcement played in both English and Japanese, repeating the flight's arrival information.

A young black-haired girl with a delicate face sat properly in her seat, hands resting neatly on her lap. She gazed at the white clouds outside the window, struggling to contain her excitement. Even so, she kept her expression calm, trying to appear unfazed.

Meanwhile, at the Yukinoshita household—

Yukinoshita's father had already written an absence request. With a confident flourish, he signed his own name in the approval section.

A successful man handles his own leave requests!

After casually tossing the form onto his desk, he stood before a mirror, adjusting his collar and tie.

The reflection showed a well-dressed man in a suit, his neatly combed hair giving him a sharp, refined look. Wrinkles had begun to show on his face, but they did nothing to diminish his confident presence.

A man should look his best when picking up his youngest daughter!

But when Yukinoshita's father proudly stepped out of his study, he found that his wife and eldest daughter were already fully prepared. Somehow, he had become the one taking the longest.

Grabbing his car keys—engraved with a silver image of a flying goddess—he drove his wife and daughter toward Chiba Airport at top speed.

They arrived nearly an hour early. Excited, Yukinoshita's father pulled a carefully prepared welcome sign from the trunk, holding it high like a banner as he led his family to the arrivals area.

To be honest, Yukinoshita Haruno found her father's mix of excitement and forced composure a little embarrassing.

With an unspoken understanding, the short-haired girl and the elegant lady beside her quietly distanced themselves from the middle-aged man who was struggling to suppress his grin.

As the flight's arrival time approached, Yukinoshita Haruno suddenly said, "I'm going to the restroom."

Without waiting for a response, she quickly walked away.

Her parents remained focused on the flight schedule displayed on the big screen, waiting for their younger daughter, Yukinoshita Yukino, to arrive.

Inside the last stall of the women's restroom, Yukinoshita Haruno wasted no time activating a private mental channel.

"Alright, Demon-kun, it's your turn."

"Got it, got it." Hayashizaki responded, clearly amused.

When it came to teasing Yukinoshita Yukino, these two were undoubtedly on the same team.

After smoothly taking control of the short-haired girl's body, Hayashizaki first recalled what Yukinoshita Haruno had looked like during her university days. Then, he activated the Thousand Faces technique.

Inside the empty stall, the girl's figure flickered. Her entire body distorted, as if a photograph was glitching.

Once the transformation stabilized, Hayashizaki maintained the spell's energy while returning control of the body to Yukinoshita Haruno.

The stall door swung open. Yukinoshita Haruno stepped out with a smile, quickly moving to the sink and looking at her reflection in the mirror.

Her once youthful face had matured, her features now more refined. Her short hair had grown past her shoulders, curled slightly at the ends, with a gradient of deep red at the tips. Her soft, lively light-red eyes held a gentle shimmer, like rippling autumn water, and her every expression carried a mix of charm and mischief.

She had also grown taller. But what stood out the most was the fair, curving shape of her chest, which looked even more striking under the warm orange lighting.

"Oh wow, so this is what I look like in a few years."

Yukinoshita Haruno was a little surprised, but at the same time, it felt strangely natural.

Her facial features hadn't changed much, but her overall aura was completely different—almost like she had become a new person.

She was sure that if her parents saw her like this right now, they wouldn't even recognize her as their daughter.

With this in mind, borrowing her future self to mess with Yukino-chan seemed like the perfect plan.

The short-haired woman was already looking forward to seeing what kind of reaction her little sister would have when she saw her.

As she left the restroom, a little girl with twin pigtails, who had been washing her hands nearby, widened her bright, round eyes and watched in awe.

She had just seen that pretty short-haired big sister walk into the last stall… and then come out all grown up!

"Chiyo, are you done yet?"

Her mother's voice called from outside. The little girl immediately dashed out, throwing herself into her mother's arms and shouting excitedly, "Mom, Mom! Chiyo found a time portal!"

"Huh?"

…

"This flight has arrived at its destination. Please gather your belongings and make sure not to leave anything behind…"

The airplane touched down on the runway and came to a stop. A black-haired girl pulled her small suitcase behind her, stepping off the plane and making her way toward the arrival area with a lighthearted stride.

Dad, Mom… and probably my sister too—they should all be here to pick me up, right?

Just thinking about finally seeing her family again after nearly six months made Yukinoshita Yukino's heart race with excitement.

But then, without warning, she bumped into something soft. Her small head seemed to sink into something plush and cushiony—so soft that it even bounced her backward a little.

"Ah… I-I'm so sorry!"

The little girl quickly bowed in apology, only to hear a familiar voice say, "Oh my, whose adorable little girl is this?"

Yukinoshita Yukino froze for a second before looking up in surprise. Without thinking, she blurted out, "Sister!?"

"Oh? Your sister is right here~"

The mature version of Yukinoshita Haruno smiled and nodded.

Looking at the short-haired beauty in front of her, Yukinoshita Yukino's deep navy-blue eyes flashed with admiration. But then, she realized something—this big sister didn't quite seem like her actual sister, Haruno.

But they looked so alike… almost like Haruno had grown up a few more years.

Still, that was impossible. It couldn't be her sister.

Feeling embarrassed, the black-haired girl's cheeks flushed a bright red as she quickly said, "Sorry, I mistook you for someone else."

"Mistook me?" Yukinoshita Haruno held back a laugh. "If I'm not your sister, then what—are you calling me Auntie instead?"

She had to think of the saddest moments in her life just to stop herself from laughing out loud.

At the same time, she was struggling to resist the urge to reach out and pinch her adorable little sister's cheeks.

"That's not what I meant! I mean—"

Before Yukinoshita Yukino could finish her sentence, a deafening explosion suddenly rang out.
