In a coffee shop ten minutes' drive away from Adler Group, the two men sat across from each other.
As instructed, Eric stood by the counter, ordering for them.
"Have you gone berserk?" was Jett's first sentence to him.
Serbian chuckled and glanced around the shop, his eyes glistening in fascination.
"I never knew there was a place like this nearby, and I've been here quite a lot. They probably opened up recently, don't you think?"
Jett thinned his lips, watching Serbian's careless movements as he reached for his glass of water after looking away for several seconds.
Serbian caught him looking, locked eyes wiht him and downed the entire thing in one gulp.
Placing it back on the table, he shrugged, "Don't worry, I'm not afraid of being poisoned. Not only is it beneath you, you're the kind of person who'd want the whole world to know you did something. You're just like me."
"Besides, it'd be a turn-off for Kelsie if you ended up killing a man. Especially her very good friend."
