Rosen's fingertip split open, releasing a drop of Origin Blood born from the Creator's bloodline.
This drop of blood coiled around his fingertip, quickly merging with more and more Eternal Source and fusing with the Root Law. Eventually, it formed a thread-like Root Broodmother. It was both a new form of life he created and the most powerful innate skill of a true Creator.
The Root Broodmother was like an earthworm—once severed, it would immediately split into two.
Every Root Broodmother could transform its lifeform and parasitize all things.
During the parasitism process, it silently treated all things as nourishment for its own growth.
Rosen brought out a rabbit. The Root Broodmother in his hand immediately burrowed into the rabbit's body.
The Root Broodmother began to split infinitely. Every cell in the rabbit fused with one Root Broodmother. Once the body was fully parasitized, the Root Broodmother even began to parasitize the rabbit's soul, and eventually, even its spirituality and consciousness were entirely consumed.
At that moment, with just a single thought, Rosen could completely drain the rabbit using countless Root Broodmothers and reduce it to nutrients.
Of course, that would be killing the goose that lays the golden eggs. The correct approach was to strengthen the rabbit's origin.
Rosen tossed this otherwise ordinary rabbit into a piece of a Source Behemoth's remains inside the Old God's heart chamber. Instantly, countless Root Broodmothers sprouted from the rabbit's body and rooted themselves into the behemoth's remains, immediately drawing nutrients from it.
Before the naked eye, the rabbit began to grow madly, transforming from an ordinary little white rabbit into a divine entity dozens of kilometers long.
The strongest part of the innate skill "Root Broodmother," which Rosen had created, lay in its ability to divide and devour. The Root Broodmother could push the power of the Eternal Source to its absolute limit, and every single one of them was an extension of his Eternal Will.
In theory, as long as even one Root Broodmother remained alive, Rosen could use it to resurrect himself.
Rosen still wanted to hunt more Source Behemoths. These creatures were far too valuable.
Whether they were Great True God-level or Immortal Godfiend-level, Source Behemoths contained extremely pure source energy that could easily be converted into Eternal Source using a Source Seed. More importantly, Source Behemoths lacked intelligence. Though powerful, they had difficulty utilizing their strength.
Of course, that didn't mean they were easy to deal with—Source Behemoths were numerous and highly prone to ganging up.
Basically, kill one, and a whole swarm would come charging in.
If Rosen hadn't used Tenfold Annihilation to instantly kill large numbers of them and create the mobility needed for hunting, he wouldn't have had a chance. The Doomsday Ark also played a key role—so far, not a single Source Behemoth had been able to catch it.
A few days later, after collecting the last corpse of a Source Behemoth with the Myriad Beasts Demon Casket, Rosen prepared to return.
More and more Source Behemoths were gathering nearby. If he ran into one that could catch the Doomsday Ark, or one with some special ability, he'd have to flee in utter disarray—assuming he even escaped. Better to quit while ahead than let greed lead him to death.
During the return trip, Rosen transformed all the Source Behemoth corpses into Root Broodmothers.
As the Doomsday Ark approached the Astral Realm, he took out the Miracle Painting New World: Rainfall Scene and began to let rain fall over the New World.
The raindrops didn't travel far from the clouds, so they didn't attract anyone's attention.
However, the Root Broodmothers had already divided countless times, and along with the rain, they scattered into the bodies of all living beings in the New World.
Once all the Root Broodmothers had parasitized and grown, he could control the life and death of every being in the New World at any moment.
If he hadn't hunted so many Source Behemoths, he never would've been able to create enough Root Broodmothers to parasitize an endless number of living beings.
Still, after personally setting foot in the Primordial Dark Sea, a new doubt formed in Rosen's heart.
His prior understanding of the Old Gods was that they transformed into all things and raised living beings like livestock.
But that understanding mostly came from analysis and speculation drawn from various sources.
Yet now that he had entered the Primordial Dark Sea himself, he knew it was filled with countless Source Behemoths and boundless world source. The Old Gods didn't seem to need to go through all the trouble of raising life. Wouldn't it be better to just hunt Source Behemoths—or even collect the corpses of Eternal lifeforms?
So maybe... my understanding of the Old Gods isn't necessarily correct.
Of course, whether it was or not, the Old Gods would always be his hypothetical enemies.
He had no intention of entrusting his life and death to some unknowable existence like an Old God.
Most of the time, the strong didn't destroy the weak out of malice.
It was like a person walking by accidentally stepping on an ant—or a child drowning ants for fun, not knowing any better.
Rosen had no desire to be an ant, easily crushed underfoot by an Old God.
Now that he was close enough to the New World, there was no need to continue navigating the void on the Doomsday Ark.
Rosen opened a World Gate and returned to the New World.
In the Mysterious Study Room, Rosen placed the last of the Root Broodmothers onto the Starshooter Ballista.
All of the Root Broodmothers shrank infinitely, slipping into the Starshooter Ballista through microscopic openings.
Visibly, the rate at which the Starshooter Ballista took root increased dozens of times over.
Within just a few more years in the real world, the Star-Piercing Crossbow will sprout, blossom, and bear fruit—ultimately transforming entirely into Rosen's shape.
He couldn't afford to waste those years. As Rosen looked at the strength of his divine essence origin, he felt a bit of a headache...
He had such a profound foundation, had consumed so many Origin Beasts during his advancement—
And yet, after the breakthrough, his divine essence origin strength had only increased from 165 points to 168.
To reach the upper limit of 180 and advance to the Immortal Godfiend realm... how many resources, how many years would that take?
Although worried, Rosen had no regrets.
If he had only chosen the Immortal Sequence, which offered just 14 points of growth potential, then he'd already meet the criteria for advancing to Immortal Godfiend right now.
That one extra point of growth would accumulate over time—meaning once his divine essence origin rose by just one more point, he would no longer fall short of Immortal Godfiend-level in terms of divine essence strength. That was the benefit of a solid foundation.
But Rosen didn't want to take millennia to slowly enjoy the benefits of a deep foundation.
So he had to rely on external forces to accelerate his growth. The greatest hidden function of the Origin Broodmother was exactly this.
By parasitizing the spiritual origin of all beings with the Origin Broodmother, in the most ruthless scenario, he could directly consume their spiritual essence as nourishment—allowing the Origin Broodmother to grow rapidly and, in turn, feed back to him endless spiritual essence.
And if he didn't want to "kill the chicken for the eggs," then he could also slowly siphon their spiritual origin over time.
Since there was no immediate need to kill the chicken for the eggs, Rosen was naturally planning for a long-term harvest.
He even intended to grant benefits to all beings through the Origin Broodmother—benefits that outweighed the harm.
If the Origin Broodmother parasitized the cells, then there would be no more disease.
If it parasitized the bloodline, it would restore one's ancestry and strengthen their bloodline.
If it parasitized the soul and spiritual origin, it would enhance resistance to external harm, and even assist in digesting spiritual essence resources—boosting the efficiency of absorbing such resources. So overall, merging with the Origin Broodmother brought limitless benefits.
Of course, all benefits came with a price—that was, life and death would fall completely under Rosen's control.
If needed, he could even turn all beings into puppets through the Origin Broodmother...
.....
Time flew by, and several years passed in the New World.
With the population of every race exploding, the divine beings of each race found their resource reserves drastically depleted, nearly exhausted.
Under these circumstances, the Will of the World revealed the full distribution map of all supernatural resources in the New World.
They no longer cared about sustainable regeneration—no matter the land or deep sea, all extractable resources were mined, scraped away. As a result, the quality of life for all races didn't decline, but instead skyrocketed for a time.
But anyone with insight could tell—the current New World was merely the final radiance of a dying flame.
When all resources were finally exhausted, the paradise-like New World would instantly plunge into a hell worse than death.
On this day, after several busy years in the real world, Rosen could finally take a break.
After advancing to Taboo Godfiend, all of Rosen's abilities had been greatly strengthened.
The skills of the True Creator Sequence all needed upgrades too.
Lastly, the miraculous paintings he had mastered—those, too, needed to be leveled up.
[Rainfall of the New World – Miracle Painting]Level: Taboo GodfiendMiracle Attribute: Through this painting, one can control rainfall across the entire New World.Miracle Traits: Rainfall Becomes Art, All Beings Become Art Slaves
After Rosen infused Eternal Origin into this painting, it gained the ability to control all Origin Broodmothers.
Not only had the painting's level been upgraded—if any being in the New World died in the real world, the Origin Broodmother would absorb all their essence and return it to the Rainfall of the New World. Then, within the painting, everything about the parasitized being would be recreated—ultimately becoming an art slave, serving as nourishment for the painting.
In addition to Rainfall of the New World, the Horror Park had also successfully advanced—
[Fallen Paradise – Miracle Painting]Level: Immortal GodfiendMiracle Attribute: Can use Eternal Origin and artistic creation to generate a Mystical Realm.Mystical Realm: Fallen Amusement ParkMiracle Traits: Mysterious Rules, Fallen Source Seeds
The Horror Park had become the Fallen Paradise. This painting was now powerful enough to imprison even an Immortal Godfiend.
Rosen put away both paintings and entered the spiritual realm painting where the Star-Piercing Crossbow had been parasitized by the Origin Broodmother.
At this moment, the Starshooter Ballista had already vanished without a trace—only countless root tendrils remained, tightly entwined, beginning to sprout, bloom, and bear fruit.
Very soon, the fruit split open, but inside was not the restructured and sublimated Starshooter Ballista formed from Root Origin Fruit...
Instead, what emerged were various types of origin essences formed from the return of materials to their fundamental roots. These origin essences were generally at the level of Immortal Godfiends, and among them, a few core ones had even reached the Eternal level. Astonishingly, there was one world origin essence that was only at Sequence 9.
Upon this world origin essence, Rosen felt a long-lost sense of familiarity...
It was the world origin of Blue Star. The Starshooter Ballista had relied on this to lock onto Blue Star's coordinates.
Rosen took out Blue Star's world origin essence, then gathered up the rest of the origin essences.
Though the Starshooter Ballista was powerful, its attributes weren't suitable for him.
Thus, he decided to keep its materials and prepare additional resources to craft a weapon more aligned with himself.
Until the new personalized weapon was completed, the Celestial Plume Bow and the Apocalypse Bone Arrows would suffice for his needs.
Rosen picked up Blue Star's world origin essence and, through the Creator-Scholar pathway, activated various abilities from the Geographer and Astronomer professions.
Though the process was somewhat difficult, he successfully located Blue Star's position.
Looking beneath him, Rosen was astonished—Blue Star was actually on the reverse side of the New World?
The entire New World was a disc-shaped plane with a diameter of one light-year. Its front side contained oceans, landmasses, skies, and the starry realm, while the reverse side held nothing but endless darkness—the accumulated resentment of countless living beings from the Old God World. The majority of that resentment had settled here on the world's backside.
This was why Hell and the Abyss, which required negative energies, always delved deep underground...
But they never dared to leave the underground and truly enter the world's reverse side.
Many true gods had been curious about what lay on the other side of the world, but all who had ventured there recklessly had ultimately perished.
After arriving in Hell through a World-Piercing Gate, Rosen continued downward, drilling through the crust.
Several days later, he reached the world's reverse side.
There was still gravity here, albeit weaker—an ordinary person could leap several meters high.
Endless darkness brimming with boundless resentment—here, any sensory perception leaving the body would be struck by the wrath of all living beings.
The cursed evil spirits normally only encountered in the upper void of the Old God World's skies now swarmed this place in overwhelming numbers.
Rosen released the Doomsday Ark, withstanding the increasing onslaught of cursed spirits, locking onto Blue Star and beginning a rapid journey.
In less than half a day, the Doomsday Ark had approached Blue Star's location.
The back of the Old God World didn't feature the strange terrains of the front—just a vast, flattened rock layer.
However, as he neared Blue Star, Rosen noticed a circular ring of rocky mountains.
Crossing over them in the Doomsday Ark, the dark corruption vanished, and sunlight poured down, illuminating a confined world within the ring.
This space was very small—Rosen's Creator's Eye could see all of it in a single glance.
It was the Blue Star he knew—only, it was no longer a planet, but a vast ocean settled in a mountain valley.
The seven continents and four oceans, both poles—all were here, floating within that sea.
There were no airplanes in the sky, no skyscrapers on land—only ancient architecture and historical cities. As Rosen spread his Creator Domain to envelop the realm, the secrets of this world's surface became instantly clear.
This world… was actually the Blue Star from the ancient past.
And more precisely—it was the late Ming Dynasty, just after Emperor Chongzhen had ascended the throne, in the year 1629 AD.
From the timeline of his rebirth, it was still several centuries away.
Through the Creator Domain, Rosen discovered that this small realm was shrouded by the laws of the world, and among them, the Law of Time was in a cyclical state. This explained why Blue Star's timeline had been reset to the end of the Ming Dynasty.
Because after Blue Star's nuclear war and the collapse of civilization, the entire planet's time had rebooted and entered a new cycle.
Rosen looked up toward the sun, and his Creator's Will crossed the void into deep space.
Though Blue Star had changed from a celestial body into a valley-world on the reverse side of the Old God World, the sun in the sky still belonged to the real universe. His will extended from the solar system out to the Milky Way, sensing countless stars and even farther stretches of the cosmic firmament.
For Blue Star to appear in such a state on the reverse side of the Old God World meant there existed a shortcut here leading directly into the cosmic heavens.
This shortcut could not have formed without the permission of the Old Gods.
Rosen was certain: even the World Will knew nothing of this place.
Because within this realm, he found no trace of the World Will or any remnants of the Old Fisherman and the others.
So why did this world exist here?
Why did the Old Gods leave this realm behind?
Why did they use the immense resentment of beings from the front side of the Old God World to conceal it?
Why was he brought from here to the Blazing Shadow Duchy by the Mysterious Study Room?
Rosen had too many questions without answers—and perhaps the answers he sought were hidden within this very land.
With his eternal, all-knowing power, he instantly enveloped all seven continents and four oceans, conducting the most thorough investigation of every aspect of this place. At the same time, he carefully examined the ring-shaped mountain range enclosing it—this formation capable of repelling all cursed spirits and the resentment of living beings was definitely not as simple as it seemed.
