Chapter 333 - Chapter 279: Samui's Punishment

Early morning.

Shinho arrived at the Hokage's office bright and early.

After reviewing some important documents, he headed straight to Training Ground One, right on schedule.

"Brother-in-law!"

Hanabi called out to him from a distance.

"Sensei."

Amaru and Fu followed closely behind her.

But Shinho noticed an unexpected figure, Hinata.

"Shinho-kun," Hinata greeted, noticing the surprise in his eyes. "I don't have any missions today, so I brought Hanabi over."

Of course, the real reason was that she wanted to see Shinho.

"Perfect. I wanted to talk to you about your jōnin promotion."

Shinho nodded slightly, then turned his gaze to Hanabi and the other two.

"Well then, your training starts now."

Though they were among the top genin, they were still genin, with plenty of room for improvement.

Shinho's plan for the next two weeks was simple, to focus on strengthening their fundamentals.

For example, their chakra control.

That included Fu as well.

Before long, the Seven-Tails would be extracted, and she'd become an ordinary ninja.

But being a former jinchūriki, her baseline strength would already be high at that time.

With enough training, becoming a jōnin wouldn't be an issue for her.

"Alright, follow the training plan I outlined. If I see any issues, I'll point them out."

Shinho clapped his hands and then turned to walk toward Hinata, who was standing not too far away.

"Shinho-kun," Hinata called softly, approaching him and tilting her head up to meet his gaze.

Though she was an adult now, she was still only about 160 cm tall.

Standing before Shinho, she still looked as small and adorable as she did when they were younger.

The only difference was that she now carried a much more generous figure.

"Have you applied for the jōnin exam yet?"

Shinho reached out and gently took her hand.

Hinata jumped slightly, instinctively glancing toward Hanabi and the others.

Fortunately, they were all focused on their training, not paying attention to them.

"I've already written it up. I was planning to head to the Hokage building after this."

Hinata let out a small sigh of relief as she spoke.

"No need for that. Just give it to me now."

Shinho lowered his gaze, scanning her with a questioning look.

"Where is it?"

His eyes swept past the black mesh covering her chest and the Konoha headband before finally settling around her waist.

But her long outfit didn't seem to have any pockets.

Feeling his gaze, a faint blush spread across Hinata's face.

She reached into her ninja tool pouch with her left hand and pulled out a letter, handing it to him.

Shinho opened it and began reading.

There was quite a bit written.

To sum it up, it basically said that while she wasn't confident in her abilities, she still wanted to give it a shot.

Pretty humble, considering her current strength would place her among the top jōnin.

"Alright . You're a jōnin from now on."

Shinho closed the letter and met her expectant gaze as he spoke.

"Eh?"

Hinata's eyes widened, staring at him in confusion.

"Did you forget who I am?"

Shinho tapped her forehead with his finger.

Hinata tilted her head, falling into thought.

"How are you this cute?"

Shinho chuckled.

Hinata's cheeks turned even redder as she shyly lowered her head.

"I'm the Hokage."

Shinho lifted her chin, locking eyes with her. "So, what I say goes."

Hinata finally understood.

She was getting special treatment, pulling strings straingt from the head of the institution.

"Th-thank you, Shinho-kun."

Hinata stammered, her face heating up even more under his gaze, almost like she was about to turn into a steaming kettle again.

"It's no trouble at all."

Shinho leaned in slightly.

"Do you want to train today?"

Train?

That familiar word made Hinata's heart race wildly.

Her mind went blank, and before she realized it, she had already nodded in agreement.

Shinho took her hand and led her behind a tree, just enough to block Hanabi and the others' view.

The thought of what was about to happen made Hinata's head spin.

She felt like a delicate doll, simply following Shinho's lead.

Without thinking, Hinata stood on her tiptoes, pressing her soft, rosy lips against his.

The warmth of the touch made her close her eyes, allowing Shinho to deepen the kiss.

After a brief battle of tongues, Hinata clung tightly to him, caught between consciousness and daze.

Shinho looked down at her, his gaze soft.

Her shyness made her all the more adorable and enticing, especially with that heavy burden pressing against his chest.

Gently stroking her hair, Shinho thought to himself,

Maybe it's time for the next step up the intensity of the training.

But after a moment's consideration, he decided, there was no need to rush.

Shinho decided to wait until Hinata could remain clear-headed after a kiss before considering anything further.

"Hinata," he mused aloud before speaking softly, "from now on, come here every morning. Consider it part of training with Hanabi."

"Mm."

Hinata responded instinctively.

Shinho couldn't help but chuckle.

He doubted she had even fully registered what he said. But it didn't matter.

Time passed, and eventually, the deep blush on Hinata's face faded somewhat.

"Hinata, now that you're a jōnin, what role would you like to take on?"

Shinho asked while holding her slender waist.

"I… I can do anything."

Hinata's voice was barely above a whisper. "Whatever you arrange is fine, Shinho-kun."

She did have a small wishm, one she was too shy to voice.

She simply wanted to stay close to him.

"Anything, huh…"

Shinho's first thought was making her his Hokage secretary, but that wasn't necessary.

He already had three, and that was plenty.

Then, something else came to mind, how to manage the captured ninja from other villages.

According to his plan, he intended to break them up into organized military units to patrol and stabilize the ninja world.

One of these units would naturally be stationed in the capital of the Land of Fire.

After all, Konoha's governing body would eventually relocate there.

"The captain of the Hokage Guard Unit."

Shinho smiled. "How does that sound?"

"I'll do it."

Hinata's eyes lit up as joy welled in her heart.

Her understanding of the Hokage Guard Unit was still based on the old system, believing it was meant for close-range protection of the Hokage.

This fit perfectly with her hopes.

"Then it's settled. From now on, you'll be in charge of protecting me."

Shinho nodded, leaving no room for further discussion.

"Mm!"

Hinata nodded vigorously, her voice filled with determination.

She was willing to stake her life on protecting him.

Just like that time in the snowy fields when he had protected her.

"You're really adorable."

Shinho felt his impulses rising again.

Hinata parted her lips, but under his direct praise, she became too embarrassed to say anything.

"Let's have another round of training."

Shinho leaned in and captured her lips once more.

Dazed, Hinata melted into his embrace, lost in the moment.

After a long while, their lips finally parted.

"You should head back now."

Shinho said gently.

Hinata reluctantly let go of him.

Once she left, Shinho split his attention, half focusing on training himself.

Time passed swiftly.

Before long, the day of the Konoha Summit arrived.

For the past two weeks, Shinho's daily routine had been fixed.

During the day, he trained his students and Hinata while also refining his own abilities.

At night, he played the role of a one-man army, helping Tsunade and Shizune relieve their stress.

Due to the upcoming summit, Konoha was livelier than ever.

All the shinobi villages had gathered in one place, something unprecedented in history.

Lively as it was, there wasn't even a trace of celebration.

After all, they were here as the defeated.

To put it in one phrase, the butcher's knife is in Konoha's hands, and they are the meat on the chopping board.

They had come to be divided up by Konoha.

The only thing they could hope for was a slightly better fate.

The summit was to be held in the Summit hall.

The scheduled time being 9 AM.

All attendees from Konoha had to be jōnin-level.

As for the other villages, their strength wasn't restricted, only their numbers. Each was allowed three representatives.

The main reason?

Limited seating.

Hokage's Office.

Shinho picked up the cup of water on his desk and took a sip.

Then, he set it down and closed the speech notes in his hand.

Calling it a speech was a bit of a stretch.

It was more of an outline detailing the agenda.

His three Hokage secretaries had compiled it based on his directives.

Looking up, he noticed Samui appearing absentminded.

He coughed lightly.

Samui's body tensed for a brief moment, her perfect curves shifting subtly with the movement.

She took a deep breath before looking at Shinho.

"Hokage-sama."

Samui bowed slightly.

The collar of her blouse dipped slightly under the pull of gravity, revealing a glimpse of fair skin.

"There are no issues with the speech draft. We will proceed according to this outline."

Shinho instructed.

"Yes."

Samui responded with a calm, composed expression.

"What were you just thinking about?"

Shinho asked offhandedly.

"N-nothing."

Samui hesitated for two seconds before shaking her head.

"I told you before, dishonesty comes with punishment."

A smile played at Shinho's lips.

"Come here."

Samui's heart skipped a beat.

Feeling somewhat reluctant, she walked over to stand before him.

Shinho studied the Hokage secretary before him.

Her curvaceous figure was accentuated by her fitted professional attire.

Underneath that tight office skirt, the fullness of her figure was hard to ignore.
