Upon seeing Mo Yu's grim expression, the Black Bat King stood aside respectfully, as silent as a cicada in winter.

After a moment of contemplation, Mo Yu spoke. "Next, we are heading to the Central Region."

"When do we leave?" the Black Bat King asked promptly.

"Now."

Mo Yu's voice was cold and firm. With Xiao Yixian's life or death still uncertain, he had no mood to linger any longer. Ice River Valley, being an even more powerful force than Ten Thousand Sword Pavilion, made it imperative for him to find Xiao Yixian as quickly as possible.

After finishing his words, Mo Yu wasted no time. Leaving a farewell letter behind in the room, he walked out with the Black Bat King.

The urgency of the situation left him with no time to bid farewell to Bing Lao and the others personally. Furthermore, there was a high chance that the Ten Thousand Sword Pavilion and Master Zhu Jian were secretly keeping an eye on him. The sooner he left, the better.

At the massive central plaza in Wan Bing City, the spatial wormhole spun slowly, radiating waves of astonishing spatial energy.

Standing before the wormhole, Mo Yu retrieved a small silver spatial boat. Without hesitation, he and the Black Bat King stepped onto the boat and entered the spatial wormhole.

Within the dazzling silver spatial tunnel, Mo Yu sat cross-legged at the bow of the boat, his expression heavy. He had a foreboding sense that this trip to the Central Region would be anything but easy.

The commotion caused by the Woeful Poison Body in Central Plains was not unexpected for Mo Yu. After all, it was an immensely powerful constitution capable of destroying an entire region.

Moreover, Mo Yu was aware that the Valley Master of Ice River Valley had long set his sights on the Woeful Poison Body. Now that Xiao Yixian had surfaced, the Valley Master would undoubtedly be even more eager to act.

The sudden turn of events deeply underscored to Mo Yu the importance of strength. As one of the three great valleys, Ice River Valley's power far surpassed that of the Ten Thousand Sword Pavilion.

With his current strength, Mo Yu knew it would be exceedingly difficult to shake such a formidable force. Thus, he had to do everything possible to strengthen both his hidden cards and his overall power.

As this thought crossed his mind, Mo Yu rubbed the beast ring on his hand and began considering Qing Zhi.

Having spent considerable time in Central Plains, Mo Yu understood the vital importance of having a Dou Zun's strength on one's side. A Dou Zun could serve as the ultimate stabilizing force on the battlefield.

Although Mo Yu had befriended a few Dou Zun experts, they were not under his command. Each time they acted on his behalf, it came at a steep cost of favors and resources—far beyond what Mo Yu could afford in the long term.

Thus, having a Dou Zun under his direct control was essential for seamless operations.

Currently, Mo Yu was merely a two-star Dou Zong, still a long way from reaching the Dou Zun level. Comparatively, Qing Zhi, already at the peak of Dou Zong, was only a step away from advancing to Dou Zun.

What's more, there was indeed a method for Qing Zhi to break through to Dou Zun, one that coincided with the purpose of Mo Yu's trip.

Silver light flickered in Mo Yu's eyes as a heavy expression crossed his face. He murmured softly, "Heavenly Cold Qi..."

After briefly organizing his plans for this trip, Mo Yu's expression grew increasingly serious. Assigning the task of piloting the spatial boat to the Black Bat King, he slowly closed his eyes.

After the intense battle with Qing Jian and the formidable Heavenly Thunder Body, Mo Yu had a hunch that his breakthrough to three-star Dou Zong was not far off.

Time flowed like sand slipping through one's fingers within the spatial tunnel. Over the next several days, Mo Yu immersed himself entirely in cultivation.

As a natural cultivation prodigy, and with the Heavenly Thunder Body having reached its second stage, Mo Yu's cultivation speed was extraordinarily fast.

Furthermore, the True Origin Devouring Thunder continuously absorbed the surrounding energy from the heavens and earth, replenishing Mo Yu's power. As a result, he could feel that he had reached the peak of two-star Dou Zong, just a single step away from advancing to three-star Dou Zong.

Ten days passed in the blink of an eye.

When Mo Yu opened his eyes after his cultivation, he saw a distant silver halo, emanating dense spatial fluctuations.

"Master, we're approaching the Central Region," the Black Bat King reminded him at the right moment.

"Ah, finally," Mo Yu said.

Staring at the silver halo, Mo Yu clenched his fist tightly, his eerie silver eyes flashing with a chilling light.

Taking a deep breath to suppress the turmoil in his heart, Mo Yu stood up abruptly. The white lightning currents surging over his body slowly receded into his skin.

The spatial boat, like a streak of silver light, zipped through the tunnel. In just a few blinks, it neared the silver halo. The increasing intensity of spatial fluctuations caused the boat to tremble violently.

Mo Yu paid no attention to the tremors, maintaining a calm expression. Beside him, the Black Bat King carefully controlled the boat.

With a sharp whistle, the boat streaked toward the silver halo. In the next instant, it pierced through the halo with a soft hiss and disappeared.

What appeared before Mo Yu next was a vast and magnificent stone platform.

The platform, made entirely of pristine white stone, stood nearly 100 meters tall. It was supported by over a dozen massive stone pillars that reached toward the sky, creating an awe-inspiring sight.

The space above the platform was highly chaotic. Large areas of the space were distorted, with faint black cracks spreading out intermittently.

Occasionally, silver light would burst from the distorted space. Each burst would send several figures tumbling out, landing on the platform below. This was clearly a central hub for spatial wormhole transport.

From the warped space, another burst of silver light appeared. Two figures emerged—a lean figure and a tall one—who swiftly stepped onto the platform.

The figures, naturally, were Mo Yu and the Black Bat King, who had traveled from Wan Bing City.

After landing, Mo Yu exhaled lightly, his gaze sweeping across the surroundings. When his eyes landed on the towering platform, his brows arched slightly.

"So, this is the Central Region? Truly worthy of being the heart of the Dou Qi Continent. Even the wormhole transit points are this grand," Mo Yu thought as he glanced around the bustling platform.

"Breaking news from the Central Region! The Woeful Poison Maiden has surfaced and is being hunted by Ice River Valley!"

The sudden cry from the platform caused Mo Yu's expression to darken slightly.

Turning toward the source of the voice, he saw a short man holding a stack of papers. The man was posting the papers onto some of the stone pillars around the platform.

A small crowd had gathered around the man, clearly intrigued by the mention of the so-called "Woeful Poison Maiden."

Mo Yu's face grew somber. This "Woeful Poison Maiden" was undoubtedly a reference to Xiao Yixian.

Mo Yu's gaze flickered slightly as he walked slowly toward the small-framed man. With a flick of his hand, a suction force emanated, drawing the paper from the latter's hand into his palm.

Glancing at the paper, Mo Yu's eyes immediately recognized the hastily sketched portrait of a woman. Though the lines were somewhat blurred, he could tell at once that it was none other than Xiao Yixian.

"Heh, young brother, you must be new to the Central Plains, right? This lady here is said to possess the legendary Woeful Poison Body. Not long ago, she caused quite the commotion here, evading a joint hunt by several powerful factions," the man said obsequiously, his smile ingratiating.

Although his strength was unimpressive, the thin man had a sharp eye. At a glance, he could tell that the young man before him, along with the menacing Black Bat King standing protectively behind, were not individuals he could afford to provoke.

Mo Yu's grip on the paper tightened slightly as he shifted his cold gaze to the man before him. "I heard that people from the Ice River Valley encountered her recently?"

As he spoke, the Black Bat King casually tossed out a bag of gold coins.

The thin man eagerly caught the pouch, his grin widening with delight as he quickly replied, "You're absolutely correct, sir. About half a month ago, the Ice River Valley elders, Bing Yuan and Bing Fu, managed to find the Woeful Poison Maiden. That battle was brutal, to say the least. Those two elders are well-known in the Central Plains, each a Six-Star Dou Zong."

Mo Yu's expression darkened slightly as his voice grew colder. "And the result?"

"The Ice River Valley brought a considerable force, but that Poison Maiden isn't easy to deal with. She killed many of their people and even managed to escape from Bing Yuan and Bing Fu despite their efforts. However, it's said that she was struck by their Heaven Ice Mystic Palms during the battle and is now seriously injured. There's even a rumor that she's been spotted in the Fallen God Ravine. Ice River Valley has already dispatched reinforcements and is closing in."

Mo Yu's face changed subtly, and he quickly asked, "What is the strength of the team Ice River Valley sent this time?"

At this, the thin man hesitated, rubbing his fingers together with a sly grin.

Mo Yu frowned, his patience waning, but given the urgency of the situation, he gestured to the Black Bat King.

After receiving another bag of gold coins from the Black Bat King, the thin man's eyes narrowed in satisfaction. Tossing the pouch lightly in his hands, he explained with a more serious tone, "Please don't be offended, sir. This information is highly classified, and I only learned it because my cousin happens to be a disciple of Ice River Valley.

According to him, this time, Bing Yuan and Bing Fu are leading the hunt again. However, they're also accompanied by several other strong individuals. While I don't know the exact lineup, I'd estimate at least four Dou Zongs, and all of them should be formidable."

"Four Dou Zongs…" Mo Yu murmured with a slight nod. It seemed Ice River Valley hadn't sent a Dou Zun-level expert. Then again, given Xiao Yixian's current strength, the elders dispatched would likely be enough to capture her.

Having gleaned the necessary information, Mo Yu didn't linger. After obtaining directions to the Fallen God Ravine from the thin man, he and the Black Bat King immediately set off.

Watching the two leave in a hurry, the thin man was momentarily taken aback, but when he looked at the two bulging bags of gold coins in his hands, a satisfied smile spread across his face. "Selling a bit of information and earning this much gold… Heh, the Woeful Poison Body truly lives up to the hype. Plenty more money to be made if I intercept a few more people…"

The Fallen God Ravine was located in the northern of the Central Region. The terrain was treacherous, resembling a land split apart by a divine axe, with countless deep fissures crisscrossing the earth, each stretching nearly a thousand feet long.

Within the ravine, thick poison mists filled the air, teeming with venomous creatures. The environment was exceptionally harsh, making it one of the perilous places in the Central Plains. Typically, only those with specific needs ventured into such a place.

However, the recent uproar surrounding the Poison Maiden had drawn a flurry of activity to this otherwise desolate location.

In the Central Plains, the term "Woeful Poison Body" evoked deep memories. Over the years, individuals possessing this constitution had occasionally emerged, each unleashing catastrophic destruction before meeting their end. Wherever they went, life withered, and silence engulfed the land—a vivid testament to the sheer terror of this power when unleashed.

Navigating through the poisonous mist of the ravine, Mo Yu faced no hindrance. His Profound Yin Poison Demon Thunder neutralized the cold and venomous nature of the toxins, and he even felt a faint, ravenous urge to devour them. Yet, given the urgency of the situation, Mo Yu pressed on without delay.

As for the Black Bat King, being a transformation from seventh-grade magical beast, he too was unbothered by the toxins.

With their formidable speed, the duo quickly delved deep into the ravine within half a day. The surrounding poison mist grew denser, but thanks to the protective poison thunder, neither was affected.

Pressing forward at full speed, Mo Yu and the Black Bat King finally arrived at a vast gorge shrouded in thick mist.

In the clearing ahead, dozens of white-robed figures stood scattered around. One figure hovered in midair, while another, a striking silhouette of a woman, stood poised on the opposite cliffside, her gray-purple eyes radiating icy killing intent.

"Poison Maiden, surrender obediently and come back to Ice River Valley with me! You might still have a chance to live!" an old man's voice resounded from the sky.

Mo Yu's face darkened as he followed the voice to its source. His eyes narrowed as he spotted the woman in white standing gracefully at the cliff's edge, her cold aura like an unyielding blade.

"Xiao Yixian…" he muttered under his breath, his voice tinged with urgency.
