The sound of rain poured in his mind, droplets rippling against the watery floor as he rested on his back, staring at the empty void above him. He felt tired, he felt like he just wanted to stay resting, but he knew that he must get up. Kimura began to get up, rolling onto his side before pushing himself up onto his feet.
Life can't get any worse than whatever those things were right…
Kimura sighs briefly as he closes his eyes and opens them again, this time he wakes up to a bright light above him. He moved his hand to cover the light as he looked at his hand scars, reminding him briefly that he was awake.
Kimura sat up as he took off the cold towel from his forehead, looking around as he saw that he was in the male dorm's living room. The lights were on as people were around, however none of them were paying attention to him. Kimura felt a brief sense of normality; the world didn't revolve around him for a moment. That moment gave Kimura clarity until someone pointed out that he was awake. Once again, they came rushing over like mosquitoes to a light. Kimura flinched a bit from the sudden rush of people as they began asking questions.
"How was it meeting the hunters?! How did you manage to evade the tarnished inside!!"
"What were they like! Are you sure you're ok?!"
"Did they look disgusting like the documentaries make them out to be?! What did they look like!!"
The influx of questions and having people up in his face wasn't something he was accustomed to; then suddenly the front door was kicked open as they all turned to look over at it. Of all people to show up, Ayameko was the one who kicked the door open, Leo briefly popped in by light hopping in and sliding against the floorboards.
"We're here to get Kimura!" Leo exclaimed with a very exaggerated finger point.
"..." Ayameko just looked at Leo with a confused and a very concerned face.
Ayameko and Leo weren't supposed to even enter the dorm since the rule was established, however Leo and Ayameko wore a hall pass around their necks. Ayameko wanted to tear off the hall pass by how her brows furrowed with annoyance. Leo was more carefree about it; however, she was just concerned about whether they would get expelled for it.
Almost like destiny was dragging red strings, Naoki would walk downstairs yawning. His sluggish but collected walking stature instantly caught Ayameko's eyes as she quickly looked away back at Kimura. Leo smugly looked at Ayameko knowing that this would happen as Naoki just looked over at the two.
"Uh…why are they here…?" Naoki yawned again, stretching half-way.
"We're uh…" Ayameko stuttered, "-We're here to take Kimura for questioning, student council told us to bring him." Leo finished her sentence.
"Uhh huh…well good luck Kimura…" Naoki grabbed a snack before heading back upstairs.
Ayameko lets out a soft sigh before hardening her glare as the boys around Kimura instantly fled, Ayameko walked towards Kimura and grabbed his arm roughly. Kimura and Ayameko glared at each other with a near identical glare, neither side was letting up as their tense stares pressured the air around them.
"Let go of my arm, I got it." Kimura asked a bit cautiously.
"No. I'm dragging your ass out of here one way or another." Ayameko spoke coldly.
Before anything got out of hand, Leo abruptly came in and broke them away, pushing Ayameko on her face and shoving Kimura's shoulder downwards. "Aya! Kimura! Hey now let's all just get going before you two break more things." Leo became the voice of reason as both parties sighed, Kimura's glare softening up as Ayameko looked away.
"Just hurry the fuck up Kimura, I don't have all day to deal with your bullshit."
"I can say the same thing about you, Ice Queen."
Ayameko and Kimura glared at each other again as Kimura was punched over the head by Leo. Kimura rubbed his head as Ayameko smirked out of spite as she waited outside. Leo dragged Kimura by the collar of his shirt as they got outside.
They began walking towards the main building which wasn't far, rather they walked at a slower pace. Ayameko kept her arms, Kimura walked with his hands in his pockets and Leo walked with a cheery grace. The air between the three of them was tense, none of them even glanced in the general direction.
"Alright you two" Leo sighs.
"Huh?" Kimura and Ayameko perked their heads up a bit to look at Leo.
"What's with this thousand-yard stare between you two? Is there something I haven't caught on or…" She spun around pointing at the two.
"..."
"No, it's nothing serious, just keeping him in check." Ayameko responded first.
"Y'know I should be saying that to you despite what happened." Kimura responds with a snarky comment.
"You are a battle magnet. Everything and everyone just seems to want to kick your shit in. But I can see why, your face is kickable."
"Gee at least it's a two-way street, not whatever Dark Knight roleplay you're pulling off."
"Oh, you better sleep with your eyes open tonight motherfucker!" Ayameko's tone was slightly raised.
"OH Yeah?! What are you going to do about it!" Kimura provoked her.
"I'll kick your shit in again if I have to dumb bitch!"
"We can settle it right here then asshole!!"
"LADIES! FUCKIN CHRIST! I GET IT!!!" Leo interrupts yelling.
Both Ayameko and Kimura were staring swords at each other as Kimura was the first one to let up looking away with an angry scoff. Ayameko, however, kept her glare at him as he walked into the academy building. Leo looked over at Ayameko with an angry stare as Ayameko sighs, turning and kicking a pebble before walking off towards the dorms.
