Daisy quickly finished cutting up the beast, using her powers to slice it into smaller pieces.
Nami handled the storage, putting the meat into a special pocket space so Anya could cook it later that evening.
"Nami, should we start mapping the island now?" Robin asked, looking at her.
Nami shook her head. "Not yet. There are too many trees here—I can't see the shape of the island clearly.
If we start drawing now, the map might end up with a lot of mistakes.
Plus, if we cut down too many trees just to get a better view, we'll be hurting the environment.
So let's wait until we reach that huge red-leaf tree in the center of the island.
It should be the highest point around here. From there, we'll probably be able to see the whole island." As she finished, Nami glanced toward the big tree, her eyes filled with hope.
The others nodded in agreement.
Only from the highest spot could they really understand the island's layout and environment—making it easier to draw an accurate map.
"Alright, let's move out," Ryuen said. The group set off again, heading toward the massive red-leaf tree in the heart of the island.
As the group moved deeper into the island, they noticed that the red-leaf trees were getting bigger and taller, towering into the sky like giants.
The trees stood so close together that they formed a thick canopy, blocking out most of the sunlight.
Even though it was already past 10 in the morning, the island felt dark because of how dense the leaves were.
Only a few rays of weak sunlight managed to slip through the gaps between the red leaves and reach the ground.
This gave the whole island a quiet, mysterious feeling, and the ground gave off a rotting smell that made everyone feel a bit uneasy.
"Everyone, put on the masks I prepared. The air here already has some poison in it!" Daisy sniffed the air and said with a serious look.
Everyone immediately followed Dr. Daisy's instructions and quickly put on the masks she had given them the night before.
As soon as Ryuen put on the special mask, he was surprised to find that the strong, unpleasant smell in the air vanished. It now felt like he was breathing in the fresh air of a clean forest.
He couldn't help but say, "Daisy, how did you even make these? They're amazing!"
He looked at her with joy and surprise.
"That's a secret~ Hehehe~" Daisy replied with a mysterious smile, not giving an answer.
She knew that if she told the truth, everyone might not want to wear the mask anymore.
In fact, the masks were made using a material called "rotted leaf spider silk."
This spider silk had great filtering and absorbing power. It could clean out harmful stuff in the air very well.
The spiders that made it lived in piles of decaying leaves and smelled awful, but their silk didn't carry that smell — in fact, it was very clean and fresh.
That's why Daisy chose not to tell anyone.
With their masks on, everyone kept moving forward.
Their feet crunched on the fallen leaves and branches, making a creaking sound that felt like it was telling the forest's ancient story.
```
"Whoa? That butterfly is so pretty. But based on Daisy's rules, does that mean it's poisonous too?" Leah stopped walking and stared at a colorful butterfly resting by the weeds.
Everyone turned to look at the beautiful butterfly in front of her.
"That's a hallucination butterfly. If someone breathes in the powder from its wings, they'll start seeing things that aren't real," Daisy explained softly.
"Huh?" Leah quickly jumped away from it, a bit scared. "I was so close to it just now… I won't start seeing things, will I?"
"Don't worry, Lia. You're wearing my special mask~" Daisy said confidently.
"Whew, that's a relief. Otherwise, I would've embarrassed myself~" Leah patted her chest and let out a long breath.
"There might not be any big monsters in this forest, but there are plenty of poisonous bugs. Don't let your guard down," Ryuen warned the group.
"Ryuen's right. I can treat you if you get poisoned, but it's better not to get poisoned in the first place," Daisy said gently.
Everyone nodded. After that, they all became much more careful.
```
At last, as the sun started to set, the Dream Crew reached a mysterious valley. Mist floated through the air, and strange rocks were everywhere. It felt like they had entered another world.
"This place is so pretty. Hey Daisy, can we take off the masks now?" Anya asked cheerfully as she looked at the view.
Daisy didn't answer right away. She took off her mask and sniffed the air. A few seconds later, she finally said, "The trees here aren't as close together, and there's sunlight during the day, so the air is safe. You can take the masks off."
Everyone was happy to hear that.
They had worn the masks the whole way. Even though the air inside was clean, it still felt stuffy.
Now that they could take them off, they finally felt like they could breathe freely.
"It really does feel better without a mask. I felt like I was suffocating the whole way," Nami said, taking a deep breath the moment she pulled hers off.
Everyone else looked just as relieved.
"The area... feels different somehow. Some places still show signs that people used to live here," Robin said as she looked carefully around.
"You mean... there might be treasure here?" Nami's eyes lit up as soon as she heard that.
Everyone else looked excited too.
"Hmm~ maybe there is~" Robin said with a playful laugh.
"Well then, what are we waiting for? Let's go treasure hunting!" Daisy and Nami shouted as they ran off excitedly.
The others followed right behind, full of energy and excitement as they explored this mysterious place, hoping to find the legendary treasure.
"Hey!"
"Anya, it's getting dark! Didn't you say you'd cook us something tasty tonight?" Ryuen was left standing there, confused and alone.
"Treasure's more important than food..." Anya said without even turning around.
"Exactly! Treasure first!" Nami added.
Seeing how hyped everyone was, Ryuen also felt a bit tempted to join them. But after looking around at the surroundings, he decided to hold off.
It was already getting late, and he figured it was better to clean up the area and get the campsite ready for the night.
